  1. Very, very nice MOC Lasse! I love how the families have the same hair color and the elderly have grey hair. Just small thing but really make a difference. I love the pram and may have to pinch the design for an upcoming display. Many thanks for sharing this grand design. Cheers Brendan
  2. I cant workout why this has only 1 reply it's fantastic. Perhaps it's in the wrong section of the forum.... When I was scrolling down I thought there's no way to many curves but then I saw it built and I was gob smacked. Well done on a very nice MOC and many thanks for sharing.
  3. I want to order one just to see if we really do get them at that price
  4. Haven't seen anything yet. My local Lego shop has placed his order and expects them around September.
  5. The decals look great! I came across this decal supplier today and they look similar. http://www.brickstix.com
  6. Just a great MOC ER0L! How's the optical illusion of dogs along the top row of blue or am I the only one who can see it? It's only in the top photo though. Loving the sliding roller door. Can't quiet figure how it works with that photo. Perhaps a front shot may help but it looks great and I definitely haven't seen it done like this before and I can't wait to give it ago. Quick question, how did you SNOT the top white 8L plates? Thanks for sharing another great MOC.
  7. Just perfect in every way. Some great attention to detail thanks for sharing!
  8. Really really nice work. My fav would have to be the T1 Pickup but they are all great and I might just have to pinch a few designs for an up coming MOC. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Really nice work moctown. It's a difficult scale to master but you have, well done. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Never done paid work myself but I'd be charging about $200 AUD a day for my labor. But that said, Lego it's our hobby and we build for the fun and enjoyment so I'd probably do it for free or let them decide how much. You might be surprised how much they pay you.
  11. Only a couple more letters in the country and I'll be a happy chappy. Congrats AustrALia!
  12. Many thanks for the great review. This will be one of the must have sets so what ever the price it will be worth it. That's if you can get one. I reckon they will sell out in a few days with plenty of people buying up 5 or more sets at a time. TLG should limit it to 1 per customer but sadly that won't happen.
  13. Great work there mifody. Looks like you've spent a lot of time on them because they're just so perfect. I love the camo gear and weapons. Your helicopters would have to be my favorite. What else could you be adding to this set? Thanks for sharing.
  14. No, I don't mean a clearance price more an online sellout price like they did with the police station last year. I got one of those delivered for $89 last year or was it the year before I forget . I do wonder why Big W advertising says 'Limited Time Only' on the Town Square though.....?
  15. Yes there where heaps everywhere I went on the GC on Friday. My small Target Country store in Yamba had 3 sets. Silly considering they never have Lego any other time. Noticed about 6 x r2d2's @ Pacific Fair but all sold out at Robina. How about all the Town Squares? must of been 50 sets at Robina these will be $99 if not $89 around xmas then I'll grab a set or 2. Kmart Robina had 4 or so HH in stock. Let the building begin. Built the creator house last night. Good set with some nice new pieces and colours. HE today hopefully!
  16. DJ's has 20% off all Lego Pet Shop from David Jones only $215 Free delivery when you spend over $50 and their packaging is the best you'll ever see.
  17. Apple Tree House is on special at S@H only $56 but you'll have to call to check stock levels.
  18. That's a great breakdown on numbers tedbeard thank you. I doubt we'll be getting anywhere near those members you have because our population in town is around 3000 yep that's right only 3000. Our region has around 35,000 but this a broad area covering many 100's of kilometers. But as you have members who travel some distance you never know we may have some too. If we can just find 3 or 4 AFOL's and a few kids we should be right to make a start. Thanks again for your input. Brendan
  19. Okay guys and gals I pose a question, what would you buy with a $250 Lego budget? I'm totally torn between what to buy this silly season. You guys keep saying how good HH is but that's all my budget and I think I want some variety, though I will mostly buy city or creator sets I bought 1 x HE from Myer online the other day and a few little things from DJ's just so I didn't miss out on them, but we are hitting the BIG smoke this Friday (due to all the toy sales being on) and I'm taking my cash to get some bargains. My son has a $100 budget too so it's going to be great.
  20. Thanks Paul B and tedbeard, lots of usefully things there for us to try and lots of things I've never thought of. Looks like we'll just start small with a get together and show off a few mocs etc. Considering we (Australia) are the BBQ capital I''d say a few of these might be on the cards. What sort of numbers are you getting at your meetings? We are in the country with a low population so our numbers will be down i'm thinking. Thanks again Brendan
  21. Hi everyone, I've been thinking about starting a Lego User Group LUG up in my local area for a few years now but I haven't had the time until now. Together with a local toy shop owner who has got the ball rolling. We're having a general get together every month starting in August which is a good start I guess. But, I'd just like to know how some other LUGS operate and/or got started? What they do? How long they go for? How did they promote themselves? Etc any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Brendan
  22. Kmart new catalogue is now out. Lots of Lego Couple of things - Fire Station only $95 Fire Boat $32 Fire Heli $39 MF Train $69
  23. Epic week indeed! That's gotta suck. I bet you could order it online through BigW and get it delivered before it even goes on sale there.
  24. Your welcome and Welcome to EB. That's a great little collection you have going on there. Don't forget to use the Myer One code MYTOYSALE for a further 10% off and they have free delivery with spends over $100. I took delivery of some road plates from DJ's yesterday and man their packaging is second to none. The outer box is so thick and well designed. Then inside, every individual items is bubble wrapped then placed onto airbags and surrounded by even more airbags. Even the receipt is placed inside a perfectly designed envelope. Delivery was also very quick 3 days to country NSW. Lets see how my Myer delivery compares.
  25. Their sale started online at 9pm so I'd say its overloaded with people buying all their Lego. Me included :-)
