  1. Nice, good to see Lego doing cool things like this.
  2. I don’t "hate" the other brands. I think they have a place. They keep Lego® pricing competitive. Would I buy them, no. It comes down to two issues for me. Quality of brick and misnaming. I hate that many non-Lego or non-brand specific buyers/sells refer to all brick toys as “Lego”, when there is a clear difference. This would the same as selling a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 1.0 and calling it an iPad. Sure they’re similar and they do similar things but they are not the same and should not be sold as the “same” product. Which is often the case in yard sales, Ebay, etc. You'll often see a "pile of Lego" and when you look at its building bricks from China that someone got in a Dollar Store. "Porsche* for sale!" *Porsche logo has been applied to Yugo for your pleasure.

    College

Easy, I didn’t. Sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, and homework vetoed any hobby. I was in my dark ages anyways. :/ Not helpful I know. I did however have an Art Minor slipped in there the last few years so it feed my need to be creative and helped with the creation of a passion for art & design that rebirthed my love of Lego.

    Canadian Eh?

Really "no way" not like the multiple sources of public transit or posting "yo I need I ride". Next time Via to T.O. or 'Shawa and we'll get you the rest of the way.
  7. My biggest complaint with most minifigures outside the “norm”. Is their lack of pose ability. To me this is one the things the TLG has really let down it users. Droids with rigid legs and arms, short minifigures with rigid legs, Friends minifigures with non movable hands and conjoined legs. This all spills over to the larger figures as well. With non- movable parts. Hulk is great example. I don’t own him but I believe he is like the other of his class and his hands and head are pose able. So LEGO! If you’re listening, get fixed! You make a great toy, now let’s just make that much better. ;)
  8. Ah it’s so true! Except I was dreaming of tornados last night. :/
  9. With a username like HoJo maybe just go with the Howard Johnston sign. Welcome.
  10. Yeah I was surprised by the simple “six out of ten” rather than 61.2%. Especially since the majority of people that responded were in the “computer/engineer/technical” category.
  11. Ah! I just geeked all over this!

Overall you got a couple of nice techniques and great photography. However the hard to see image might cause viewers to skip by without clicking on the gallery. :/
  16. Mmm. Nice I wish it was UCS.
  17. Nothing 55 isn’t a noted year. 60, 70, 75 (maybe because 3/4 century), 80, 90, & 100 would probably result in interest.
  18. Very nice. I love that you included the hole that it crawls out of.
  19. Excellent job the micros ships! Looks like you’ve also used twisted chains as branches.
  20. Giddy! I know a lot of people have said they hated the movie but I’m all about the visuals and Avatar delivered in Spades in that aspect, so I’m glad to hear the news. ;)
  21. Man talking about taking one long vacation! O.o Welcome back.
  22. This is really well done. I wish you would have been able/might still be able to make it bigger. I think this MOC on a 32x32x16 scale could win.
  23. I’ve used them as limbs on small mecha and with another technics half pin as double sided light saber.
  24. I’d have to say it was 2009 ish. They went from a sinking ship to product explosion with 6% of the global toy market, when Lucas released the Clone Wars Series and Lego already had the contract. Without that boom we wouldn’t be seeing the current lines. Lego would have probably slimmed down and stuck to mainly the classic space, castle, & town lines.
  25. Bribery is the best medicine.
