Rumors. XD See you there. Are ToroLUG members eligible for the raffle?

Just finished up Guns'n'Roses: Appetite for Destruction. I'll try to get some pictures up today or Friday.

Wow very nice. The only thing I didn't like was the Yoda head slipped in there and that is only a 7 out of 10 on the dislike scale.

Love it. I'd love to find some of this cable. I'm assuming it's not Lego issued. Where did you get it? -

What's the least important aspect of you of Lego?
Rook replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yellow people. I know hate me if you wish. Once they went fleshy they should have stayed fleshy. I like having the diversity of our world reflected in our toys. For far too long the “West” (can't speak for anywhere else) has been a Caucasian dominated product environment. Can we say, “nude colored stockings” and “skin colored Band-Aids.” (PS: I love clear Band-Aids.) Too me, even having "everyone" yellow perpetuated that issue. I live in a rainbow; I want to play with rainbow. So the least important aspect for me is maintaining the "yellow people" tradition. -
Nice use of the chairs on the rose buds.

Ah I was wondering where I had left my extra set of hands for my Kristanna Loken doll.

Love your attention to details. Making sure the angle of the light were right on.

Hey to each his own. I only built a ship because ACPin pointed out the only way I'd have a chance of beating him is if I stuck to what I do best. He does dioramas, I do ships. *Maybe we should join forces.* I agree though, it was pushing the limits of the contest but clearly people enjoyed seeing a well known ship. I've found in contests sometimes the ones that seem to "fit" the requirements the least get more votes. For example the winner of the CMF Podracers on FBTB this spring. Hmm. Oil bath... damn I could have won with that idea!

Update: I had 16 Droids invade and attack my Lego collection this week. Fortunately I had several extra restraining bolts on hand and they were quickly subdued. Thanks again for hosting this great contest with a very unusual prize package.

One of the reasons I’ve never really got into the making instructions thing. I know it can be profitable but for me, being a TFOL/AFOL is about building something new on your own. Anyone can assemble a set/MOC from instructions. It doesn’t build creativity or artistic tallent. -
*Signing* Love, love, love, love, love… Ok yeah wow I really dig the cheese slopes in the vertical seams of the castle. <3

"Calum did the TTC Subway car, TTC Street car, and street." I'm guessing no since it was only for a window display and not a convention.

new variable pitch propeller design

Always amazes me what people can build with Lego. PS: Use of TLG putty. -
I only buy mint in box or bulk. If it’s opened I trust that something is going to be missing and only pay prices that allow for replacements to be ordered. But if someone claims it’s complete and it isn’t that’s crap. Don’t take it. You wouldn’t be happy buying a “fully functioning” car to find out that you have no seats in it.

Question about Overland Park, KS Lego store
Rook replied to prozac's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The Florida store is the largest store. You’ll most likely have two full walls of Lego with the back wall being misc items and a PaB Wall. PaB walls vary on content from week to week so it’s just the luck of the draw. You’ll also have a couple of play areas down the center and maybe a DIY minifigure area. The PaB wall and the Minifigure area and the misc (non-TRU) items, and Lego VIP program is what makes trips to Lego stores a better experience than just ordering online.
