  1. The Reddit legoleaks page features a new image showing Robin Hood's tail, Aurora's sleeping face, and Miguel's alternate head and hairpiece. The slightest glimpse of Pocahontas' tattoo is visible as well although no more than before.
  2. I thought that was a nice touch for the Slave in the Magic Mirror as well. It seems like they felt her design was too simple and needed something extra, hence the little additions to her. I'm not a fan but they're also not that noticeable and I wouldn't trust myself with being able to get rid of that line without damaging the torso overall lol. I was surprised they didn't give her a red apple but I'm glad they didn't waste their time on a generic part over something more specialized. A potion from Harry Potter would work really well for her. I just wish they had included the heart box that was intended to store Snow White's heart.
  3. That also makes me wonder if this Aurora's alternate face is her sleeping. Your idea that they have a sleeping Aurora (with fairies also) present in a Sleeping Beauty castle set sounds wonderful. It would make sense to have pink Aurora in the CMF series because the general public associates her with pink. Meanwhile, the more prestigious Aurora, in blue, would be associated with the castle set as an exclusive figure plus she'd fit in the bedroom if they include a bed. The fact that the Cinderella castle featured very little minifigures makes me wary, but then again that was Lego's introduction to the Disney sets. This year they're really going all out with different characters so I feel like they wouldn't make such an expensive castle set and not include a whole plethora of minifigures. Wouldn't it look really bad if that parade train set had 6 minifigures and a Sleeping Beauty castle set, worth way more, only had 5? They already have the owl for Briar Rose although they could always make a new one wearing Phillip's hat and cape. The glitter looks really cheap to me, like this is a minidoll directly converted to a minifigure. It'll look even more jarring when you put her next to other princesses like Ariel and Jasmine and eventually Snow White (praying they don't throw glitter on her as well. Her colors were also very inaccurate which I made a point of mentioning in the survey). I'll begrudgingly get Aurora because she's a classic Disney character and one of my favorites but I'm very disappointed in her overall. All the ones you listed are the remaining princesses left, but I've heard that Raya is an official Disney Princess now. However, I've never seen any merchandise of her as one but you could maybe throw her name in too. Esmeralda also used to be a Disney Princess when the franchise first launched, alongside Tinker Bell, so you could include her since we already have Tinker Bell. And while Wendy was never an official Disney Princess, the fact that we'll have a minidoll of her live-action remake version but no minifigure of the classic version seems strange to me. Snow White will probably pop up in the cottage set. Rapunzel I can see maybe getting her tower as a set, although watch them include a minidoll version of her instead of a minifigure like they did with the Frozen Ice Castle set. Cinderella could maybe appear in a set with her pumpkin coach, unless they include her in the potential Sleeping Beauty castle set. There's a reliable user who confirmed that we're getting Belle and Gaston. Nothing was said about the Beast. I could maybe see Belle in a Sleeping Beauty castle set as well, but Gaston being in that would be weird. The only thing I can think of that would include both Belle and Gaston, but not the Beast, is a set of Belle's village especially since you can visit it at Disney World and also at Tokyo Disneyland. They could easily include her father's cottage, the bridge leading up to the rest of the village, the fountain where Belle reads to the sheep, the baker's, the bookshop, and Gaston's tavern. Maybe even one of Maurice's crazy inventions. I feel like Merida will probably pop up in a future CMF series. They include Pixar in every series and they don't have a whole lot of human characters let who could work for Series 4 but Merida is one.
  4. The Prince Phillip in the Maleficent set is him in his forest outfit with cape, sword, and shield so it would totally be feasible to introduce Phillip in his formal outfit from the end of the film in a set with blue dress Aurora. If we do get a Sleeping Beauty Castle set, I do hope they'd feature one or both of them like this rather than just Mickey and his gang in new outfits. The three good fairies would hopefully be included too since it doesn't seem like they're in the Maleficent set. Ever since we got the first look at her, I've seen so many comparisons to Princess Peach. Especially now with the high-resolution pics available, it's easy to see why people would think that. The minifigure looks more like Peach than it does the Aurora from the movie. If not blue dress Aurora, I'd at least like to see her Briar Rose version especially since a lot of the issues I have with the Aurora minifigure probably won't be improved even if she's in a blue variant. Unless they completely changed the design. I know a lot of people online have been grumbling about her crown for example
  5. I didn't see that was available until now. You're right, Aurora's hair is pretty long so that's one thing they did right. It's a wonderful new piece along with Pocahontas' windswept hair. I can't see the arm printing on Pocahontas in the 360 spin either, but the solo still of her does slightly show it. Annoyingly enough, most angles of her show off her other arm instead or the compass covers it so we haven't really gotten a good look at it yet. I'm still not sure why they gave the long hair to Mulan. Between that and the legs instead of a dress piece, it feels like they sort of combined different elements of Mulan that don't quite go together for the outfit they chose. I think someone else mentioned a while back that even the sword they chose doesn't quite fit with the blue dress.
  6. In one of the solo images of her, you can see a bit of the red printing on her right arm so she does have a tattoo, we just haven't had a really good angle to see it fully. I'm more annoyed by the fact that her belt is red. Although in some other pics, it comes across as brown which is more accurate. The promo pics tend to be oversaturated in color so I'm hoping that also explains why Aurora's dress suddenly looks more purple than pink. Baymax shocked me too because I didn't like his minifigure at all from the leaks but he looks highly improved now. I think the weakest minifigure is either Stitch for the lack of antenna or Aurora in just about every choice they made for her, which means Lilo really should have been included in some shape or form instead. I took for granted that Miguel would come with an alternate normal face and a hairpiece so it shocked me when I finally noticed that his head was black and would only be able to show his painted on skeletal face. But you're right that least he has a generic enough appearance that you could easily find other parts to use instead. Like you, my issue with Aurora is that they based her minifigure on her stock image used in merchandise rather than her movie appearance. The purplish pink for her dress was even used for her lips, which is even more pesky since the movie goes out of its way to describe her as having "lips that shame the red, red rose." The annoying glitter aside, the details and accents on her dress are gold which is too flashy imo. You couldn't even use her torso and dress for a Castle MOC because they'd look too vibrant and out of place. I'm just hoping that if they ever do some some Disney castle set that features a few princess minfiigs, we can get another shot at Aurora because what we're getting now is a complete mess. Something I also noticed from one of the images that shows Mulan laying on her side, is that she has really long hair which doesn't suit her appearance in the movie at all. I think this is the hairpiece used in the Friends sets for the Asian minidoll, and while this hair length works for Mulan in the beginning of the movie, it's definitely not the short hair she sports for the rest of it including when she wears the blue dress. There hasn't been any image yet to show what Aurora's hairpiece looks like from the back but it could very well be that Mulan's hair is longer than Aurora's, which is plain bizarre. I'm not sure why they didn't give her a short hairpiece. And Mulan's skin tone isn't accurate either. She's got tanned/olive skin in the movie, not the pale skin she always sports in merchandise. The new skin tone used for the Shang-Chi characters would have been perfect for her. I'm not sure why Mulan got the opposite treatment of Cho Chang, since Cho actually does have fair skin but is given a much darker shade whereas Mulan's skin has been lightened.
  7. Doesn't the leaked image of Mickey in a gray suit somewhat resemble the Duplo figure?
  8. Figaro is in the Duplo castle. I wonder if we might be able to get a version of him in one of the other sets to match the minifigures, especially since Cleo comes with Pinocchio.
  9. Aurora is worse than I thought. Her generic crown and white collar were off-putting enough in the leaked images but the color of her dress is completely off. It leans more purple than pink and looks nothing like the shade of pink from the movie. The sparkles look so cheap and like this is a minidoll. In fact I think some of the minidolls had more accurate colors and designs. Considering how many Aurora minidolls exist to cater to that market, I wish her minifigure had been less influenced by them. Aurora is one of my favorite characters but I'm not even sure I'm going to bother with her now. The worst part is that even if we ever get a blue dress variant, it'll still have all the same issues and probably even an inaccurate shade of blue. Too bad they didn't make the Briar Rose version of Aurora instead. I'm also not sure why all the minifigures have such simplified designs but the Evil Queen has extra details that didn't exist in the movie like a visible underskirt or a line down her torso. At least she and the Queen of Hearts got movie accurate crowns unlike Aurora.
  10. I'm a very casual LOTR fan, unlike with Harry Potter or Star Wars. The Rivendell reveal inspired me to rewatch the movies, mainly the Hobbit movies because I had only seen them once before and wasn't really a huge fan. This time I'm watching the extended editions of the Hobbit movies and I already feel they're much better than the theatrical editions. Will rewatch the extended LOTR movies afterwards, especially to compare the depiction of Rivendell in them to the Lego set. I don't see myself watching Rings of Power though. I've heard too many negative things about the show and the fact that it has no basis in the books and breaks a lot of the canon doesn't appeal to me. That, plus the lack of any major A-list actors. I'm not sure how the movies were able to get so many big stars but the show is full of virtual unknowns who don't seem charismatic onscreen at all. I'm looking forward to seeing what we get from WB with more movies though.
  11. So glad we're getting an easily obtainable Ravenclaw Quidditch torso. Although strange that the legs aren't white and that there's no cape.
  12. That's an interesting thought although the bathroom in HBP is pretty massive compared to the single sink in the set. They may have used that scene as inspiration especially since this is Harry and Draco's next big scene together in Hogwarts. I feel like this might be more likely since these sets do have some easter eggs from the books and Dumbledore's reference of finding a bathroom is the first ever mention of the Room of Requirement in the books. I think Harry explicitly remembers this dialogue in Order of the Phoenix when Dobby first informs him about the Room of Requirement, so it's even brought up more than once.
  13. If Disney still had the rights to Narnia, I would have loved to have seen sets on those movies. Although there is a wonderful Narnia project on Lego Ideas based on the books. There have been plenty of great Disney submissions to Lego Ideas like Genie's Friend Like Me, the Jolly Roger from Peter Pan, Geppetto's workshop from Pinocchio, and a wonderful Polly Pocket style Alice in Wonderland playset featuring all the characters and scenes from the movie. However, these projects either didn't get 10,000 signatures or they were rejected. Mary Poppins will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year. But if I remember correctly, Disney released 40th and 50th anniversary DVDs/Blu-Rays a year before the actual anniversaries so they've never been very accurate.
  14. That was actually a Lego Ideas submission which wasn't approved. It's from 2019 but wouldn't it be funny if it was rejected like the Snow White cottage because Lego planned on making it themselves. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/9758f5f2-2a9a-4e0b-ba5b-47b1e8836c81
  15. I can sympathize with what the others are saying because I think it's generally tricky for people who collect multiple themes to keep paying for so many expensive D2C sets. I collect Disney and Harry Potter. I gave up on Star Wars long ago because it's too expensive to keep up with and I'm not going to even bother with the new Indiana Jones sets for the same reason. I'm highly tempted to cave and start collecting LOTR as well, especially since I imagine this Rivendell set will be around a while and not retired too quickly so I should have time to get it. And I love the new Lion Knights Castle set and want that as well, plus the Medieval Village expansion set from the survey to go with it, which is another $400 set minimum. The minidolls are the reason I've skipped on the Frozen Ice Castle so far. And with all the new sets I want to purchase this year, I might just skip the Ice Castle altogether even though it's retiring by the end of this year. I don't see myself purchasing any of these expensive sets that feature minidolls only. Cinderella is such a major character that her omission is about as jarring as Snow White's. But we know Snow White will appear in a cottage set and the rumors about Belle getting a minifigure exist as well. With Aurora already in the CMF series, that leaves Cinderella as the main princess left who is unaccounted for. Maybe she'll get a set based on her pumpkin coach? Or maybe she'll appear in a potential Sleeping Beauty castle set, although wouldn't it be bizarre if we got Cinderella in that but not Aurora. That's one of the reasons why I'm hoping if there is a Sleeping Beauty castle set with non-Mickey minifigures, that we get a blue dress Aurora in it. That also makes me wonder if there is a Sleeping Beauty castle in the works, what will its official title be because the last castle was just the Disney Castle and not the "Cinderella Castle." That's also why I don't think we're guaranteed minifigures who aren't from Mickey and the gang for a Sleeping Beauty castle set, although I would love to see Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather included. However, the Cinderella reference in her castle set was pretty weak. Just a pumpkin included in a kitchen that was technically Little Mermaid themed and that was by far the weakest of the Disney references. In fact, with all the sets and CMF series that have come out since, much of that castle's interior feels incredibly dated like the Magic Carpet, Magic Mirror, and Fantasia brooms. Even the archery section dedicated to Brave feels silly since we still don't have a Merida minifigure but now we'll have two Robin Hood characters who would be better fits.
  16. They tend to be grouped together in Order of the Phoenix marketing and merchandise for exactly those reasons you listed. And if we're going with OOTP Tonks with the pink/purple hair, then she had little to no interactions with Lupin in that specific movie anyway.
  17. I don't know about a Disney Parks themed Mad Tea Party, but I would be very surprised if we didn't get an Alice in Wonderland Mad Tea Party set based off of the movie. Based on how Aurora and the Evil Queen are both in the CMF series as they complement sets from their movies where both characters wouldn't make sense to appear in, I feel the same could possibly apply to the Queen of Hearts. Especially for all the people who were confused as to why she was included but not the White Rabbit or especially the Mad Hatter. A Mad Tea Party set could easily feature Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Dormouse, and even the White Rabbit. That would leave only the Queen of Hearts as the last major Alice in Wonderland character without minifigure representation, hence her inclusion in the CMF series. I hope we get an Alice set anyway with all these characters.
  18. I'd like to see the princes included as well but that seems unlikely, especially if the Beast hasn't been confirmed the way Belle and Gaston are. I can see all the princesses you mentioned being included, such as Belle, but Gaston's inclusion seems rather random then. Maybe Cinderella's stepfamily could be included to give more villains? It would be nice though if Disneyland Castle also came with a blue dress Aurora. In Disneyland Paris, she used to exclusively wear blue unlike the American parks where she was always in pink, until all the original princesses got new modernized outfits. Now Aurora only wears pink everywhere. My guess is if we're getting a Silver Mickey (although he still comes across as dull and gray to me), we'll get a Silver Minnie as well. Maybe Donald and Daisy too to parallel their inclusion in the Cinderella Castle. I'd love to see the stalls and vehicles. I think the reason we've never gotten Mickey Mouse ears is because the actual Disney characters don't wear those and all the minifigures so far have been Disney characters rather than random parkgoers who would wear them. The Snow White cottage set features a wishing well so I don't think they would include that here, although I would prefer a larger wishing well like the one in the parks. The one in the Snow White cottage set seemed too small and plain for my taste. The Snow White grotto would be great although how would they do the statues of Snow White, the animals, and dwarfs? Would they be minifigures in solid white or brick-built? That's what I was thinking about Main Street that all the shops and locations really aren't inherently Disney enough. As a side addition to something like the train, sure, but on their own, I don't see it. Even the train when it came out, I remember there was some flack about it being uninspired especially coming on the heels of the castle.
  19. I wish there was a chance we could get a USC version of the Black Pearl for everyone who couldn't pick up the original set. I know some people have likened Main Street to Diagon Alley. But is there anything on Main Street that's as iconic as the Diagon Alley stores, minus the partners statue of Mickey and Walt? I always felt the Mark Twain Riverboat would work really well in a Fantasmic set. And now we're getting Sorcerer Mickey and probably dragon Maleficent so we just need a riverboat to recreate Fantasmic.
  20. Could gray suit Mickey be his outfit for a Haunted Mansion D2C set? I guess if it's supposed to be silver, it would work for any set to celebrate the centennial.
  21. I think the main evidence that the Snow White and Maleficent sets will come out this year is because the Evil Queen and Aurora in this CMF series are meant to complement those sets.
  22. I think it would irritate a lot of people if it was basically the same set but with a little extra more plus a new minifigure or too. Very few people will feel inclined to repurchase the set even for Cinderella.
  23. Yes, the price range was $190-310. $240 is the most likely price.
  24. So it's really not a 19th figure in that sense then. A pity the Maleficent set doesn't feature some sort of tower that could include a sleeping Aurora in her blue dress. The lack of the Beast is definitely going to feel like a missed opportunity. I'm assuming this Belle will be village Belle which will seem even stranger next to Aurora in her formal princess gown. Even more reason to have given us Briar Rose instead.
  25. I rewatched her scene as well and it was just an empty corridor so I guess they did just throw in a sink or drinking fountain of sorts to not make it completely empty. Weird choice, especially since you said they didn't even do a good job of constructing the sink or whatever it's supposed to be. I just Googled for that scene and that's a good catch. That also makes me hope that if we ever get the House Ghosts as minifigures, they'll give us another Grey Lady based on her appearances in the first two movies. Although I liked Kelly Macdonald's casting in Deathly Hallows, I was never a fan of how simplified and bare her dress became.
