  1. It seems like the Peter Pan/Wendy diorama set must not have sold well enough since we haven't gotten any more diorama sets. A remember a lot of people were hoping for Ariel's Grotto, Kiss the Girl, Beauty and the Beast in the ballroom, Alice's Mad Tea Party, Lady and the Tramp's Bella Notte, etc. all as dioramas.
  2. Some if it might depend on how large the Danger Room is and how much space it takes up. The Danger Room is also supposed to have a viewing deck which is where Xavier watches from behind a glass window but I don't remember if that was incorporated into the show or not. If there's no Beast though, I wonder if they'll bother with the lab. And if there's no villain minifigure, holding cells might not be likely either.
  3. So far we don't know what'll be in the interior. I'd love to see Storm's attic with her garden plants but considering it's never been in the show or movies, I'm not expecting it. There doesn't seem to be enough space to fit the Danger Room, Xavier's office, the infirmary, holding cells, Beast's lab, the war room (with Cerebro), and the individual bedrooms for the characters, so if we get even half of that, we'll probably be lucky.
  4. That's what I figured as well. I tried searching for merchandise for him but couldn't even find any. If some MCU villains can't even get minifigs these days, it's highly unlikely Bastion will especially since he seems to be more or less done with. I agree, those five villains are the main ones we need now. Would also like to see some of the Brotherhood characters like Toad, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, and Destiny (and maybe even comic book versions of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver). Dark Phoenix is a must later on and some more Wolverine baddies like Lady Deathstrike and Omega Red.
  5. That's true. I've seen plenty of customs for him with Falcon's comic book torso. I don't even think he's likely to appear but I thought if Lego was going out of its way to feature Iceman, it might just go ahead and include Angel as well to feature all five O5 X-Men, especially if the painting of them exists in Xavier's office like in the show. For that matter, even the Lego Marvel Superheroes game had a painting of the O5 X-Men in the X-Mansion. That would be such an easy choice for a set that I wonder why they haven't done this already. As for more villains, I'm wondering if the character Gambit is attacking on the box, that everyone thinks is Magneto, might not be Bastion. But I don't recall Bastion showing up in a lot of merchandise for X-Men '97, not even with series 2 of the show's merchandise that focused on spoiler characters, so it's very likely that Lego skipped over him as well. Apocalypse is a shape-shifter so he's a character we could get in multiple forms. A big fig in one set as well as a brick-built figure in a different set. But considering how little villains we've gotten so far for the X-Men, we'd be lucky to even get one iteration of Apocalypse at this point.
  6. When did Hawkeye get a comic minifigure? And while Spider-Man has the best representation of comic book minifigs, there are still plenty of major characters missing like 616 Gwen Stacy (not a generic civilian labeled Gwen like in the Daily Bugle set), Harry Osborn, Flash Thompson, and Electro. Yeah, that Thor desperately needs an upgrade with a proper molded helmet with long hair and dual molded legs. They didn't even give him bare arms.
  7. In the movie, Jack's house has a massively exaggerated staircase which really gives it a lot of elevation. I realized the house looks incomplete here because there's barely any stairs, and they're tan instead of gray for some reason. I can see a lot of people modding this set to give it a much longer staircase. Otherwise, the actual house design of the final set looks more movie accurate than the original submission. People also noticed that Lock, Shock, and Barrell's alternate faces don't feature their masks. Without the masks, and the rather generic hairpieces for Lock and Shock (Lock's hair should resemble devil horns and Shock's hair should resemble frizzy worms), they do seem a little too basic. Apparently the designer for the original submission doesn't like Oogie Boogie and specifically didn't want him in the set. I guess the Lego designers listened to his wishes.
  8. Avengers Mansion is also a dream set of mine. But one that seems highly unlikely anytime soon since it would clash with both the Avengers Tower and especially the X-Mansion. I also don't see them making any D2C Avengers set that isn't based on the MCU, at least for some time. I would love to see comic book minifigs of Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Vision, Wasp, Thor, Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel, Jessica Drew as Spider-Woman, etc.
  9. I have zero interest in the movie but the Emerald City set might be worth picking up with a sale just to have a setting for The Wizard of Oz minifigs. Really wish Lego gave us sets on the MGM classic instead though.
  10. That's a good sign then. I'm still holding out hope Angel could be in the set too so we can complete the original X-Men.
  11. This is what I'm hoping too, that both lists are accurate, and we get the full lineup of 12 characters. Although, didn't the last list claim that Cyclops doesn't have printed legs? If that's true, that could mean we're not getting Morph after all if they didn't bother making a set of printed legs for both of them to use. This I see being very likely. It's a rather prominent location in the movies and they can easily reuse a whole bunch of minifigs. Plus, it's themed to Endgame, and we don't have a D2C set themed to Endgame yet. Avengers Tower is based on the first two Avengers movies and the Sanctum Sanctorum is based on the Doctor Strange movies, Infinity War, and No Way Home. That leaves Endgame as the last major MCU movie without a D2C set.
  12. Very happy to see that the Mayor was added. He was the biggest omission for me from the original submission and they've done a great job translating his unique shape and design. Zero looks amazing and I like that Sally is upgraded too from her CMF figure. While Santa was not absolutely necessary imo, I'm glad they included him. Would have liked to have seen Oogie Boogie and especially Dr. Finkelstein. I can't imagine the latter showing up in another set or CMF so he’s the biggest loss for me. I'm wondering if the moon might have a light-up function. I do think the original submission was superior though. There was greater scale to the height of the house, hill, and fountain. The final set feels almost shrunk down. I also liked how in the original design, everything was connected on one plate like it really was the entire Halloweentown. But what we have here feels more like separate pieces that can co-exist but don't feel truly connected. Oogie's popularity makes him a ripe choice for a CMF series. A potential gift with purchase I can see is Jack as Sandy Claws with his sleigh and reindeer skeleton.
  13. It's becoming a joke how useless the actual Cyclops minifigure is but how Marvel always delivers whenever it comes to his video game designs, between Fortnite and the first Lego Marvel Superheroes game. He absolutely needs those legs. Jubilee looks incredible and I'm actually rooting for her to not be in the X-Mansion because if she is included, she's not going to look like that. She'll have maybe 10% of that level of detail. She needs to be a CMF figure all the way. Colossus looks great and I'm hoping he's another surprise character in the X-Mansion like Iceman. Out of the Marvel D2Cs, I've only bothered with the Bugle as well since I prefer the comic sets over the MCU ones. Oscorp would be a must for me too. DC's emphasis has always been Batman and the Joker. There's a reason all their expensive sets are Batman themed, whether they're based off the Burton movies or the 90s show. I don't see them investing that much money into a D2C Superman set, because iconic as Superman is, he isn't a guaranteed best-seller who can sustain a theme by himself. I don't see Superman getting any anniversary or legacy sets like Batman does, so a new film that could be rejected by audiences as previous Superman films have, doesn't seem likely. This is the same reason why I doubt we'll get a Baxter Building next year. The Fantastic Four are not a cinematic proven property and haven't been relevant in decades. With the MCU on a downward spiral, there's no guarantee if the movie will be a hit. This isn't like the MCU's golden years and it should be noted that even then, Marvel didn't introduce Avengers Tower or Sanctum Sanctorum. They could easily have made Avengers Tower into a D2C set during the hype of Infinity War/Endgame but they waited years later. The Sanctum Sanctorum didn't get a D2C set until after it had already featured in so many blockbuster films. No way the Baxter Building gets a D2C set with only one movie in the works. At most, we'll get a playline set for it like we got several Avengers Towers and Sanctum Sanctorums before their D2C versions. If the FF property is successful, I can see a D2C Baxter Building much later on, around the time of Secret Wars. I think Asgard could potentially have a shot but I don't think it's guaranteed either. As prominent as it is in the MCU movies, Lego hasn't really made much effort into making sets on Asgard. We might get a lot of Thor sets but they rarely involve Asgard's scenery and palace design, which seems to indicate they don't think that would be very popular with consumers.
  14. That was my thought as well. It's a perfect set for them. I wonder if internationally, Disney can still use Tarzan. I know the Tarzan musical flopped in the US but it became a huge hit in Germany which is why it's still playing today and I think is one of their longest running musicals.
  15. I'm still hoping for Oscorp Tower. There are way too many Spidey characters that haven't been made into minifigures yet or ones that have been out of circulation for years now.
  16. I read that too, what a pity. I don't get the restrictions here either. Disneyland used to be home to Tarzan's Treehouse so I wonder if Disney had some agreement that they could continue to merchandise Tarzan in Disneyland for perpetuity, even when they lose the rights, because they needed a way to keep promoting their attraction. Maybe that's why both the Jane doll and also the collectible can only be sold in Disneyland, not online, at D23, or any of the other Disney parks. The funny thing is that the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse was converted to Tarzan's Treehouse because Swiss Family Robinson was considered too outdated and obscure for contemporary audiences. But now, Disney's lack of being able to do anything with Tarzan prompted them to convert it back to the Swiss Family Robinson theme. The 1999 film is considered a relic of the past, not the 1960 movie. I was really hoping for a Tarzan set featuring him and Jane and some gorillas. I guess that's never going to happen. I think that was more because this was Disney's 100th Anniversary celebration and that was the marketing used for the CMF series 3. I personally am not expecting to see 18 figures in a Disney CMF series 4.
  17. There are rumors that Wanda's kids have an important role in Agatha All Along so if that's true, we could see the twins as minifigs. There's S3 of What If? as well. Strange Supreme was a pretty significant character in the first two seasons so I can see him getting a minifigure now. The main strike against an all animated line is that the animated shows don't do nearly as well as the live-action shows on Disney+. Both What If? and X-Men '97 were their highest rated animated shows but '97 was still way below Echo in terms of viewers and Echo was one of the least watched MCU shows. Although Ms. Marvel still holds the record for being the least watched MCU show.
  18. I know I only bothered with the X-Men minifigs from Series 2. And the MCU shows seem to be declining in quality with every new one so I can't imagine what characters they'll scrounge up next since Daredevil is off limits. I don't think they'll go the route of an X-Men '97 only CMF series but I would love that and there's enough characters and costume changes to sustain 12 slots. Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Morph, Sunspot, Forge, Cable, Mr. Sinister, Bastion, brown suit Wolverine, Jean Grey as Marvel Girl, classic 70s Cyclops, classic 70s Storm, Brotherhood Rogue, X-Cutioner, Goblin Queen, Lilandra, Deathbird, Gladiator, Shi'ar Professor X, and Val Cooper. Not to mention a more accurate version of reformed Magneto since the X-Jet version is horribly done from the hairpiece to the color of his costume.
  19. Rogue really needed to be a CMF figure. The lack of dual molded legs, the generic hair, and horrible torso printing make for such an unsatisfying minifigure. I wonder if they might at least make an attempt at fixing the yellow printing.
  20. That sounds quite plausible. Although the purple blob underneath Storm looks more like Magneto to me, even if others are saying they think it's Jean. I do hope it's an upgraded version of his classic costume with dual molded legs. Since Iceman's made it in, likely over Morph, I can potentially see them going the route of replacing Jubilee with Kitty. Two '97 characters replaced with overall more iconic and popular characters central to the X-Men mythos, regardless of whether they've been in the new show or not. The D2C set can get away with including non-show characters unlike the CMF series which would have to feature characters from the series so it would make sense to save Jubilee and Morph for that. Even if Jubilee provides more diversity to the X-Mansion set than Kitty would. Although Kitty without Colossus, Nightcrawler (and presumably Lockheed) would feel quite strange. Hoping Iceman comes with an ice slide of sorts. If there is a flying character underneath the set number, it could also be Angel. X-Men '97 has the big portrait of the O5 X-Men in the mansion so it would make sense if the set also features a similar portrait. In which case, featuring all five O5 members as minifigures in the set would be a natural choice.
  21. Exabricks is also saying that the X-Mansion will have modular connections as well. Although that seems to be in dispute with an earlier leak that this set wouldn't be modular and wouldn't connect to the Daily Bugle, Sanctum Sanctorum, and Avengers Tower. Yes, I'd more or less pick those characters too. Exabricks saying there could be more than the 9 reported characters makes me wonder if we could still see one of the above characters in the set. Maybe Mr. Sinister to provide a villain minifigure.
  22. Iceman is a really odd choice since he didn't even appear in the show, outside of a cameo in the opening credits for certain episodes, but I love him so I'm not complaining if it's true. We know Lego really wanted to include him in the Daily Bugle set so maybe they were able to justify his inclusion in the X-Mansion set. If he is included, I hope Angel isn't far behind so we can get the entire O5 one day. Morph can technically still show up in the CMF series if he's really not in the set as earlier reported. That might be best because it would take a CMF series to give him proper leg printing and it would be easier to pick up a second copy to give Cyclops those legs as well. In this leaked image, Cyclops seems to have plain legs but the report is claiming he does have printed legs so here's hoping. As for Bishop, if he's really in the set, I hope he gets his 90s mullet and not the more contemporary haircut he was given in '97.
  23. I disagree. Nightcrawler's red bands have always been a distinctive part of his look. His classic costume has more or less been unchanged since the 70s for a reason. Removing those red bands makes an already simple costume even more simple and plain generic if he only has basic white boots. Also the red V part of his costume needs to come down straight to his hips which is unlikely with a regular set minifigure as he'll probably just get generic legs/hips like Cyclops. But then again, I'm more of a purist because the current Cyclops minifigure I find to be abominable and a lot of people think he's perfectly fine the way he is, even with no leg printing or details whatsoever. Even swapping out his blue legs for dual molded yellow legs still makes him look rather generic imo since he's missing those rather iconic yellow straps around his legs.
  24. Nightcrawler and Jubilee will probably be CMF figures. Nightcrawler especially would need that extra attention and budget. I can see Sunspot being included as a CMF figure too, paired with Jubilee. Forge, Cable, or Bishop would also work. The X-Men were popular enough that I can see the next CMF series including more than three X-characters. There are rumors Forge will feature heavily in the MCU's X-Men and they've been playing him up in the comics as well, whereas Cable and Bishop have been sidelined, perhaps for synergy reasons.
  25. Disney has officially started making Tarzan merchandise again, including a Jane doll and a 25th anniversary collectible. I'm assuming this has something to do with Tarzan lapsing into the public domain. I hope this means that whenever we get another Disney CMF series, we can expect to see Tarzan and Jane as minifigs. For that matter, Tarzan's an easy enough minifigure to make that maybe if we're lucky, he can even pop up in the Target Ideas set.
