  1. Minifigs: General Kenobi, Captain Rex, 2 Commando Droids Build: BARC-speeder and Separatist speeder Price: € 29.99 Subtheme: The Clone Wars Pieces: Not Specified on the European box Release: Winter 2013 Front of the box. It's a medium sized box and it has the new green Yoda box layout like all the new winter sets have. Little Minifigure box in the bottom right corner (like most sets). Close up of the minifigure window. Captain Rex has the new Phase 2 outfit, Kenobi has also a new outfit The Commando Droids we already saw in set 9488. Side view of the box. Like all the boxes it shows how large the minifigures are in real life. The "NEW!" reminds us again that there are some minifigures in the box . Back side of the box. On the left side it shows the ability to turn the sidecar around and fire some flick missiles. On the right side it shows a little speeder pursuit and a side and top view of the BARC. Contents of the box. We have 2 plastic bags roughly the same size, a sticker sheet and the construction manual. Close up of the sticker sheet. Not too many stickers in my opinion. Close up of the construction manual. Here we see bag number 1 and his contents. Looking forward to the new Rex and Kenobi! It's composed of the minifigures and the Separatist speeder. That's why I'll do the minifigures first . To build up some excitement we have the Commando Droids first . Nothing new to mention here. They are my first ones and I like them alot. Their heads are great and even the little red dot is present . Here we have the NEW Captain Rex and General Kenobi Captain Rex looks really great with his phase 2 armor on. Nicely detailed torso (even with some dirt on his torso) and legprinting. Obi Wan looks nice too, his hear is not new, but his head (imho) looks better then the previous one (don't know if it's new). His torso and legs have some decent and lovely printing. Front view without the helmet and hair. Rex his face looks nice, don't know if it's new though. His armpiece is charming, we hadn't gotten a new one in this color yet. Back view. Obi Wan gets an angry expression as his double printed head. Rex doesn't get a second one (he already looks angry ). Rex has a really detailed back printing, again with some dirt on it. Obi Wan's is simple, but he doesn't need more. The only thing that bothers me is the new "skirt" Rex weares, he almost looks like Asajj Ventress with his hips like that . I liked the plastic version more. A close up of the new helmet. It's awesome! some many detailes, even the lines on the sides marking his victims. No printing on the back. This is what you get halfway trough bag 1. When finished it looks like this. It resembles Count Dooku's speeder from Episode II, or is this a different one (maybe just the colors)? Now we move onto the next plastic bag. Bag number 2. It contains the pieces for building the BARC with sidecar. When you are finished building the first part it looks like this. The second part is the sidecar. Together they form this beautiful new BARC-Speeder! It was a surprise that the speeder is almost double the length of the other BARC's we got until now, and with a sidecar it's even bigger. At last the set is fully assembled. Last picture are the spare parts. Like always we got some extra droid arms. Nice to see that we have a spare lightsaber hilt The rest of the parts are usefull too. As per request some aditional pictures of how the rotating works This piece is the only connection between the speeder and sidecar, it also rotates the sidecar. This constructon prevents the sidecar from rotating the other way and help the sidecar to align correctly with the rest of the speeder. Now I'll try to give the set a rating. Playability: 9/10 - It is a fun set, you have minifigures from both sides and both sides have a vehicule. Great for having a speeder chase! Design: 9/10 - The design is pretty good, both speeders resembles their cartoon counterparts really well. Price: 8/10 - I think the price is ok, you get some nice minifigures and two speeders. Minifigures: 8/10 - The minifigures are lovely. The droids are nothing new, but Kenobi and especially Rex are awesomely detailed. Parts: 8/10 - We get some very nice parts, lots of dark red and blue parts. Overall: 42/50 - This is a very nice set, both the speeders and the minifigures are it's main assets! I hoped you enjoyed my review!
  2. Minifigs: Ashako Tano, 212th Clone Trooper, 2 Umbaran Soldiers Build: Umbaran HMC Price: € 59.99 Subtheme: The Clone Wars Pieces: Not Specified on the European box Release: Winter 2013 Front of the box: It's a rather medium sized box. It has the new green Yoda box layout like all the new winter sets have and as usual a minifigure window. Close up of the minifigure window. Here we see a preview of the new minifigures. Ashoka Tano we have already seen before, but not in this outfit . View of the side of the box where the minifigures are shown. Like all the boxes it shows how large the actual size of the minifigure is. Back of the box. On the right side it shows all the different actions you can do with the walker. On the upper left side we see a little battle and at the bottom we see a side, top and front view of the walker. Content of the box. We have three plastic bags, stickersheet and a construction manual. The third bag doesn't contain many bricks for such a large one . Sticker sheet. In total nine stickers. The separatist colors and symbols are, like in most of the other sets, stickers, so nothing special here. The construction manual. Inside the manual the page that shows the different bags and their builds. Plastic bag number 1 with it's contents. I'll do the minifigures first . First we have the Republic forces: a 212th Trooper and Ashoka Tano Front view. Both have really nice and detailed torso and leg printing. The Trooper is all new, Ashoka has a new torso and leg printing (what she wears in the clone wars series atm). Front view without the helmet and hairpiece. The face of the Trooper looks a bit odd, his facial expressions lines are too yellow and his cheek lines are to big. I'm not a fan of his head . Ashoka looks good, she has her smirky smile and an elevated smirky eyebrow (like her cartoon counterpart). Back view. Both have a simple but decent back printing. Back side without helmet and hairpiece. Ashoka has a double printed head, an angry expression like most of the double sided heads have. The trooper, like most other clones, has just a single face. Next we have the Umbaran soldiers. Front view. They are identical (as expected). Both have a nice torso print, but they don't have leg printings. The helmets look ok, nothing special actually, they don't resemble their cartoon counterpart though. Front view without their helmets. Beautiful (the clone wars) purple head printing, although also indentical. Back view. Both have back printing, simple but quiet nice. The helmets on the backside look really good, more detailed then the front. A nice bonus . Back view without their helmets. They don't have double printed heads. Close up (both front and back) of the phase 2 clone helmet. The new helmets look good! Detailed enough, but could be better because the old version was more detailed. Although I remain a fan of the old helmets, I changed my opinion about these new ones. Back side has no printing. Now on to the walker itself! This is what you get after completing the first plastic bag. The second platic bag and his contents. Lots of bley and dark bley pieces! This is what you have after completing the second plastic bag. Now it already has it's distinctive and beautiful round shape. The third plastic bag and his contents. With this bag you build the big canon on top of the walker. Nice to see the big launchable missile piece back At last, here we have the set in it's full glory! A picture of the spare parts. We have a spare lightsaber hilt (good to swap with one of the old ones), some nice colored cheese slopes and two blue round studs which are always welcome. As per request some aditional pictures of the hinges and other action possibilities . This picture shows the handle (located under the walker) with which you can move the canon on top of the walker. Here you can see how the legs are attached to the body. These pieces allow to rotate the legs. The black piece with which you attach the leg to the walker does not move (a hard static piece). Close up from one of the legs. Here you can see the pieces that allow the position of the legs (only way to position the legs, except for the "feet"). Picture showing the front hatch. Front view of the walker showing the cockpit. Back view of the walker showing the back hatch. Its is possible to put a minifigure here. Now I'll try to rate the set. Playability: 9/10 - It is a fun set, you have troops from both sides and a walker so you can do a battle between them and the walker has the big canon piece which is great. Design: 8/10 - The design is really well done, the walker looks almost exactly like his cartoon counterpart, nice round curve . The only negative remark I can make is about the size of the walker. I thought it would be bigger, you can compare the size of it with the Separatist Proton Cannon we got in set 7869 Battle for Geonosis. Price: 7/10 - I find it a bit much for what it is, for that price I thought I would get a slightly bigger tank . Minifigures: 8/10 - The minifigures are lovely. There are some improvements that can be done, but they do look nice. The only negative thing I can think about is the face of the clone trooper (it could be a misprint). Parts: 9/10 - I think we get some really nice parts, lots of dark blue, dark red and bley pieces. Overall: 41/50 - This is a charming set, just don't expect to have a big walker I hoped you enjoyed the review!
  3. Today I got the chance off picking up 75001, 75012, 75013 and I decided to try and do a little review off them. First one I'll be reviewing is the 75001 Republic Troopers vs. Sith Troopers set. Minifigs: 2 Republic Troopers, 2 Sith Troopers Build: Small one person speeder vehicle Price: € 14.99 Subtheme: The Old Republic Pieces: Not Specified on the European box Release: Winter 2013 Front of the box. It's a little box (can be expected from an army builder ). It has the new green Yoda box layout like all the new winter sets have. Back of the box. Shows a little battle and flick fire ability of the speeder. Side of the box. Like all the boxes it shows how large the minifigures are in real life. This is one of the new minifigures in the box (the "NEW!" reminds us of that), althought it is not the only new one . Content off the box. Construction manual, little plastic bag with little pieces, a medium one with the rest of the pieces and off course the dreaded sticker sheet (only two stickers). Closer look at the sticker sheet. Content from both plastic bags. Really looking forward seeing the minifigures assembled! I'll do the minifigures first (most people are looking forward to this, as do I ). Front view. Here we have the two Republic Soldiers. They are really well detailed, nice torso and leg print, their helms look great too. They both look alike, no differences here. Back view. Beautiful (although simple) back printing. Their helmets are open on the backside, which is a bitt off a letdown, but the helmets do look great overall . Republic Soldiers without their helmets. A surprise (for me) that they have different head printings, although no double faced heads (but not really necessary). Only minifigures left are the Sith Troopers. Front view. The black one is not new, but now he has some nice legprinting we hoped for . The red one is new. He looks great too and surprisingly he has a new helmet print . Sith Troopers without their helmets. Even better, they both have different faces like the Republic Troopers . Back side. Very nice printing on the back, even more detailed then the Republic Troopers. Also a difference between the red and black one. Like the Republic Troopers no double sided face heads. Close-up off their helmets (sorry for the bad picture). Now on to the build itself. A little brick build laser machine gun, simple but effective. Looks badass in the hands off a minifigure. The speeder. These are the pieces that remain after building the machine gun and minifigures. Here I apllied the stickers. They do look great on it . This is how the finished speeder looks like. I really like this speeder. It looks really good and it almost perfectly resembles the ingame version (except the colors). Here we have the set in it's full glory . A picture from the spare parts. Now I'll try to rate the set. Playability: 9/10 - It is a fun little set, you have troops from both sides so you can do a little battle between them, the speeder has flick fire missiles for a bit of action. Design: 9/10 - The design is pretty good, the machine gun looks nice and the speeder looks almost identical to his ingame counterpart. Price: 7/10 - I find it a bit much for what it is, a € 12 price point would be better. But we do get some nice looking minifigures and a nice little speeder. Minifigures: 9,5/10 - The minifigures are awesome. Not much we could do to make them look better imho, the only negative thing I can think about is the opening on the back of the Republic Trooper helmet. Parts: 8/10 - We get some nice parts. Not much more I can say about that. Overall: 42/50 - This is a nice set, its main value are the minifigures though. I hoped you enjoyed my very first review! Hopefully there are not too many pictures for reviewing a small set
  4. I'll be heading in the afternoon to my local Fun store (in Ninove) and I'm going to buy an Umbaran HMC tank. I already phoned them if they got the new sets, and they do . Will try do a review off them too
  5. I got 3 off those elven swords in my (so did others) barrel escape set!
  6. I forgot to ask, and if you don't mind saying, what where the prices off those sets?
  7. I got my correct (the same new shaped one) a week ago.
  8. I'm from Belgium! Which 'Fun' did you go too?
  9. The snot window is always moving from side to side, I also want it centered. Really great set though, one of my favourites. Love the figs too!
  10. I got the same email today, but expected delivery date 8-11 december
  11. I ordered the barrel escape set from the belgian site on tuesday, and today It already arrived.
  12. What websites do you mean? Have never seen a site here in Belgium with those kinda sales
  13. Added some more sets.
  14. I got mine yesterday, also from amazon.de (special edition) and with the same small cape :(
  15. Ow ok, I ordered it from amazon.de (normally it arrives monday, but I still hope for today ) I'll check it when the game arrives.
  16. Was it the special edition from amazon.de?
  17. Yeah, indeed. I also took advantage from the discount on amazon.uk and also have to wait till 24december but if you look at amazon.de they have the release date as 1st december :(
  18. Wow those legs look great! How is it actually connected to the torso? If it's possible and not to much trouble, can you show us a pic of the custom parts itself?
  19. The phase I one clone looks really good and same for the new clone pilot, almost exact the same as the pic you showed. So great job TLG for those minifigs! Krell looks decent, I think TLG did there best to make this one.
  20. I also ordered them yesterday evening from Amazon.uk, in total it was €25 cheaper then in a normal store here . Thank you for posting the info! And expected delivery date 20-24 december (thought they were already available in the UK)
  21. I really don't like the new phase 2 helmet, the old one looks way better. The Republic Trooper looks awesome though
  22. I hope so, ordered it yesterday but haven't thought about the language -_-
  23. It seems that Tauriel her two daggers are different on the poster where all the Hobbit figures are shown (as shown in the brickset review of the Goblin King Lair) then that on the pictures of the set itself So what colour will those daggers be actually?
  24. I wanted to pre-order it trough gamestop but the delivery cost is like 25$, almost double for a PC game and then what I read now, a possibility that the Elrond figure isn't even with it? Best that I order it from amazon.de for the PS3, but only thing I have to know is that it's CERTAIN that we get the figure with the PS3 special edition? otherwise I just order the PC game without the figure
