Middle-Earth Madness - Mordor Battle Pack vs Amon-Hen [Week 7]
Moexy replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Mordor Battle Pack, Amon Hen does not have much to offer which we already have... -
The faces look great! Although I'm not sure if Zeb is really a Bothan (he looks more like a bat then a Wolf type creature) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bothans

Thanks for the advice, I just ordered one! :) The newer version does look better in some ways, so it's worth it. -
The ONE Thing You Want to See from LotR Before it Ends
Moexy replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'd go with the siege of Osgiliath : Faramir, Ranger of Ithilien, Gondorian Soldier (full attire), Mordor Orc (armoured version), Gothmog and the Witch King (maybe on his Fellbeast but that's optional) and to end some Gondorian styled structure and ruin. That would be my ideal end set.- 64 replies

Hi, I have a question regarding the Millenium Falcon (7965 from 2011). Is it worth buying it when already having the one before (4504) from 2004? Are there maybe improvements or is it neglectable? It already looks better, but I was really wondering if the gaps are not bigger between the moveable hullpieces. -
Middle-Earth Madness - Lothlórien vs Mordor Battle Pack [Week 6]
Moexy replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Mordor Battle Pack, because it is a Battlepack (and only if there are new armors, helmets and weapons, maybe an Olog-Hai too). -
Middle-Earth Madness - Lothlórien vs Prancing Pony [Week 5]

Lothlórien again, more interesting figures! -

Middle-Earth Madness - Mount Doom vs Lothlórien [Week 4]
Moexy replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lothlorien for sure (fan of the elves), Mount Doom if it would include Elrond, Isildur or any other Second Age Warrior it would be called something like Battle of the Last Alliance. -
Hello all! I've got a question I would like to ask the community and people who are fans of the Stargate universe. I'm a fan of Stargate SG-1 and I would like to build some Jaffa warriors (the front line troops, like Teal'c was). They may also be the guard types (like Horus' or Ra's troops). So I was wondering which parts of lego minifigures would be best to build a Jaffa Warrior? Already build some a time ago using black hair caps with entirely black legs and torso (but they don't look nice). Maybe there are also parts from the custom parts Sellers that can be used? Every tip or advice would be helpfull and appreciated! :) Greetz Moexy

Middle-Earth Madness - Rohan Battle Pack vs Mount Doom [Week 3]
Moexy replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Rohan Battle Pack, for the reasons already mentioned :) -
Yeah, that's what I mean, they are already available for two weeks but on the Lego website they are not. €12,99 is a decent price! :)

Is it not strange that on the lego Belgium website the new sets are not available yet but they are in stores for about two weeks? If the battlepacks are indeed so expensieve here then I'm not going to buy them (they just seem "meh") and just going to Bricklink some of the new figs (chewbacca and Grievous mostly :P)

If it is Frederik II of Prussia then indeed he was a philosopher. He had private correspondance with Immanuel Kant and and he was an admirarer of Rousseau. He published some traities on various philosophical subjects and he greatly stimulated the advancement of knowledge and the advancement of the arts in the German language. Something special about him was that he was always in dialogue with his subjects/people, he accepted critique because he knew it improved knowledge. Love them all untill now, especially Adam Smith! Great job!

Looks really good deskp, let's hope we get an official one (although the chance is really slim). Never thought I was going to like Thranduil's minifigure, but it is now my favourite Hobbit figure till date (together with Haldir for LOTR)!

Awesome moc, a lot of nice texture details. I love it how you based it on that nice story (christmas spirit like)! @ jeroenaa : it means "Glory to God alone". Known through Bach and some other known figures. I think it originates from the Protestant Reformation.

The problem is that Beorn's face and hair are one piece :( I'll only buy two Mirkwood Elf Armies, and for the rest I'll Bricklink the figures.

It's possible we get another Plo Koon in that set and normally also Ashoka and Anakin, maybe some new updated Coruscant Security Clones (those with the red markings)? So if you want Plo Koon and/or the updated security clones this would be a great set :) I won'tl buy this set, already have Plo Koon and I like th old phase 2 helmets more. Maybe if it has something new and interesting then I will buy it (a updated and more detailed Plo Koon, if that is even possible?)

That ship looks really nice, a bitt like the Mill. Falcon. Also not a fan of the McQuarrie Stormtroopers :( The pic with the TIE crashing down on the planet looks good, can't wait to see more of it!

I like your model deskp very much, far better then what's in the game, but is it not a bitt too bare on top (the tree I mean)? I really like the size of the tree, it looks like it could in reality support the building on top! I would be happy with anything Lorien/Caras Galadhon related though :)

I totally agree; NujuMetru's Minas Tirith model is the most 'logical' model TLG would or could make. A €1000 model wouldn't even be something TLG would consider. The only thing I agree upon is the size of the trebuchets, but on the other hand a smaller trebuchet model wouldn't be actually possible (imao). An alternative would be a simple catapult, but that wouldn't match too well with a movie Mina's Tirith model ... I do hope TLG makes a Lorien/Caras Galadhon set (small, medium or large, maybe something like in the game) and a Fellbeast with Witch-King set. An Ithilien Ranger or Dunedain Ranger set would also be very welcome :)

The AT-AP looks almost exactly the same as the previous version, only new detail are the special green colored bricks. Com Gree and the wookiee look good. I recently bought the old version :S and it's a nice vehicle, maybe I'll buy the new one or just Bricklink the figs. The old version can perfectly stand on it's two legs, the third one is just a playfeature when you "fire" the large canon.

It looks like his Fin is blue, so you can't really tell the difference between that color and the darkgray of the ship (I think) :) Otherwise really great find, it looks then if he's already a phase 2 clone :P
