  1. Great moc! Looking forward to more progress:) sure came along way from that first picture! Purists remind me of my 87 year old grandfather, he grumbles about "those damn hot rods" whenever he sees a modified car... Maybe its not for everyone, but whale2 has a skill set that I'm very envious of... And in terms of legal or not...let's not forget Lego is a toy...
  2. Looks good so far! About what Gee said about wishing he had a Lego shop in Worcester, I live in Vancouver Canada and am lucky to have two Lego stores within 50 minutes train ride. Unfortunately neither store really caters to Technic. Alasdair how is the Technic selection at your local store? For instance, is there any Technic on the PaB wall?
  3. Simple math in terms of battery box size... 6 1.5V batteries equals 9V. Not much change to be had there.
  4. Found a 41999 under my tree! Looking forward to boxing day building.
  5. 8110 and 8043 may not work well in the snow, but they sure look good! The green bed is perfect on the 'Mog.
  6. Link to or more info on Nicjasno's custom wheel hubs? Thanks!
  7. I would say nice in theory but it would be a HUGE amount of work for someone (Jim etc.) Not sure the "return on investmwnt " is there with this one.
  8. I was just looking at prices for the rechargeable pack this morning. Crazy expensive! Would be nice to see it in a set, as I currently have six of the "standard" bat boxes...but like you said unlikely!!
  9. Very promising entry, the details are lovely The removable front bumper is a nice touch! Looking forward to the rest of the entry.
  10. Why would this not be considered "legal"? Seems like the textbook definition of legal, considering it's a Lego part, just re-purposed? Looks very useful!
  11. Very familiar in Winnipeg, the city of roadwork! very nice entry, looking forward to the third component.
  12. A drilling (shoring) rig? Usually tracked and pulling a trailer with compressor.
  13. That LC is from Iceland, not the arctic!
  14. Nico71: mini trial truck 6x6. A good design using no "special" parts and easy to modify. Hope it helps! I would love to see some more mocs using these wheels! http://www.nico71.fr/mini-trial-truck-6x6/ Here is a moc of mine using a high lift version of Nico71s design. http://imgur.com/lsO8AZg
  15. Was at TLC Store in Guildford, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada last night and saw 7 41999s on shelf!
  16. Very nice work! I think I like most that it is either PFS or manual. These A-Team vans seem to be a recurring theme the last six months or So!
  17. Good find! I'm very curious to hear from the community some ideas as to why this part was never produced. 3D printing will surely come up, would custom making a part that Lego has patented violate copyright law? Curious! And as a side note, where was that patent info found?
  18. Thanks both Jim and Philo, very interesting!
  19. Would love to see a picture comparison!
  20. Hello! As I have recently moved to Vancouver, most of my Lego has been, and still is, packed in boxes. On my move, I purchased set 42005 Monster Truck (admittedly for the tires, ball joints and frames!). I have really enjoyed this small set, but the more I play with/look at 42005 I feel like TLG didn't do a very good job on the bodywork. I have tried to remedy this! Have a look... Mod: 42005 Mod Oringinal: 42005
  21. Thanks! Not sure how I missed that, must have skipped a page :( Will be ordering A set ASAP.
  22. I recently bought 9392 Quad Bike from my local Lego store solely for the wheels/tires. I have enjoyed building in this scale and reading all of this has me wondering if these tires would be able to stretched to fit these wheels from 9392? The Rock Crusher Micro tires have an ID of 25.5mm while the OD of the 56145 wheels is 30.4 Thanks! Edit: Picture
  23. I think your English is very good! Nico71 has a very good design for a mini 6x6 on his website :) a place to start anyways!
  24. Looking forward to the video! Looks great so far, multiple steering and speed controls makes it all the more interesting.
