  1. Thank you! I agree Steampunk has to have strange gold pieces in strange places Yepp, style and luxury!
  2. Wow, what a fantastic creation!
  3. Terrific!
  4. Beautiful, very beautiful!
  5. Great action - a quite extraordinary build!
  6. The first steampunk MOC has just been published. As to the lost rudder: It is a common nuisance that once the pictures have been taken and published, the builder suddenly realizes that: - a part is missing - a minifig has toppled over - some bricks have gone loose (and appear not to have been pressed together firmly enough in the first place - usually an effect when MOCs have been taken in and out of their boxes) - a minifig looks into the wrong direction - etc. That's just the way it is...
  7. The MOC is ok, maybe a bit too modern in style. Do green hairs become popular now in Eslandola?
  8. I proudly present Sir Archibald's Wonderous Mechanical Elephant!

  9. When I saw that Chima Elephant set coming out, it was immediately clear to me what I had to build out of it: "Sir Archibald's Wonderous Wandering Mechanical Steam Elephant" The Steam Elephant allows comfortable travel through all kinds of terrain. Additionally, it is well-armed. Inside the Elephant the modern traveller will find a luxurious sofa and a grammophone, accompanied with a great record collection. Larger (and more) pictures can be found on flickr. (And, yes, I have read Jules Verne. Many times.) :sweet: C&C welcome! Captain Braunsfeld goes Steampunk: 1. New try at Steampunk Figbarf 2. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant 3. [MOC] [steampunk] Dr. Teslisons Airship 4. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Flying Lucilla 5. [MOC] [steampunk] Lady Lacelove's Armored Airship
  10. That is just excellent! Great build, fine use of different techniques - and funny at the same time!
  11. Well, if it was that ugly, I would have taken it apart in silence instead of presenting it to the whole world... So, I agree, it has some charme. It is more about the style. I don't do things that way nowadays. You might want to refer to the ship I have put together for the Sea Rats. And there are some more in the pipeline
  12. Well, parts 1+2 and 5+6 are more serious. But a victory party has to be something funny
  13. Excellent! The frozen waterfall is superb and the idea with the barrel of kaliphlin oil is splendid!
  14. Fine builds and fine minifig posing.
  15. BTW: The East Wind Trading Company is looking for new members! Please bring a decent ship and also decent understanding of the rules of the game. (So far I have contributed an ugly ship and some nice buildings. Time for a change! )
  16. Don't they already do so? (At least most of the time?) You got it! This is a little bit of insanity .. but I like it. That's the way - uh hu uh hu - I like it...
  17. Thanks a lot! The rudder ... must be still in the box... I did not see it come undone. Yes, another midsection (which I don't have) would make it look better. Agreed. Sails can be furled, we got a steam motor... Mitgardian? By colour, yes. I'll put a catapult in instead of the guns and sell it as a medieval ship The rest of the crew? Yes, they are! Chubby look? Chibi look? Yes, difficult. The ship actually just has two cannons as the lower cannons have been removed to give more storage space. I thought of something like Class 2T... Do I need to remove all of the cannons to have it a trade ship?` Who would send a completely unarmed trade ship around the world?
  18. Thanks It is a trade ship ... it may be ugly... Yes, very bulky, Sir. (That is what I also did not like initially ... but then I thought that in the early days Eslandola did just have simple, bulky ships) The class? Definitely "failed galleon". Or "Bulk Brigg" Tomsche, old friend, this ain't no mexican! It is Eslandolean... Furled up sails - yes, that happens if I have no idea for the sails BTW: The ship is modular. (Maybe I should take another picture to prove that..)
  19. It is time to show the East Trade Wind Company sailing! And here she is: The Stubborn Stern. She is sailing under the command of Captain Enrico Sombrero Verde. There she is sailing away .. and back again I am very happy about the new lantern design: Builder's note: While searching for the harbour I wanted to work on I found a very old and very black ship of mine (with no name). It was built in a style that I wouldn't do anymore so I was about to disassemble the model, when I thought I should give it a chance. Because that ship had been build with the simple goal to give the captain his "walkway" (I had not done this on another ship). So the goal was to leave the basics as they were but to add details and refinements to make the ship look better. Consequently a lot of yellow was added and many a curved slope. Then the old red-white colour scheme was modified to green-white. I've added cannons and the small boat at the stern. And the custom flag. C&C welcome
  20. Thank you, Sir. I think I've missed out on the "approval thing". Do we need to get a ?
