  1. Welcome to Eurobricks, LudeBene!
  2. ArchitectureFan and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present the next two chapters of the Golden Age of Chicken Aviation: (Don't ask me what those black things are, although I have created them ) The chicken keep landing in the wrong place - chapter 7 is a variation on this topic: Also to be found on flickr. Within the great saga of the "Golden Age of Chicken Aviation" you are here: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 & 7 <--
  3. Yes, that is just what it is meant to be I think they will be fleeing with the balloon shortly after this scene ... .... only to end up in more trouble
  4. Wow, many many replies for a Thursday evening. Thanks! I just couldn't find a good title for the post. "Yellowbrick Road" did not work... Right, but it helps me to keep track.... It is also my most favorite building to date Thank you! Yes, it could be that Alberto had been living in Nova Terreli for some time. ... beginning scientist ... Yepp, and so I ran out of light blue window-thingies ... Thanks, Sir! Something yellow, something old, something blue The surprise was also on my side Feel free! Thank you very much!
  5. Thanks Those must have been BrickForge glasses if I am not mistaken (I bought them some time back). Let's see whether I can keep up this approach for the next MRCA too. .. and it was!
  6. lovely topic .... but the build sure is fine
  7. Classic scene - I like the shot of the "harbour master's junk"
  8. Quite helpful, thanks for this!
  9. In a beautiful yellow villa there lived a young man by the name of Alberto da Pontelli. He had developed a liking for something that was frowned upon in Eslandola: science. His family strongly opposed his plans but Alberto was slowly but surely making progress: Having modern books sent to him from Corrington, he started to equip his home with devices that would allow him to experiment.... This is the start of a new character, but today I will only show the beautiful house he is living in. I'll add more pics of details and interior later (when the weather allows better photography again). When I started building this I wanted to find out how good or bad a yellowish building would look and I also had some ideas of how to apply bits and pieces in white and grey. Then some things turned out different than expected (I had planned for different corners of the building) but I liked it. (Some pics started to look like LDD but this is actually made of real bricks). As I said, I will add more detail photos at a later point in time. C&C welcome. Here are the detail pictures: The house can be opened at the back: (some interior has also been added)
  10. ... it was said that the Stubborn Stern bravely managed to outrun a dreaded pirate... here's what it looked like: So, Colonel Brickinson can celebrate .... ... while Captain Cookie and his team are not so happy: (I tried a different way of clouds on this one - and I have added small flags ) C&C welcome!
  11. Fine work. Fine figure posing!
  12. Wow, this has become a very elaborate discussion. I've build 18 MOCs so far for BoBS and 14 of them were land-based. To me, the land-based MOCs have a disadvantage in the game as they come with high setup costs and small ROI. So, licensing land-MOCs seems to be a bad idea.. I'll side with that point of view. And I can also understand everyone who would ignore my stories and characters and just look at the pictures - this is what Eurobricks is about. One reply to Kabel who regretted that MOCs are not being improved after feedback is given (I felt that this was going in my direction too ): Most of my MOCs are being taken apart after the pictures have been taken. I try to apply the feedback I get to the MOCs that I build later. It seems like others operate in a similar way. As to the quality debate and the comparison with GoH: GoH is a MOC-based community and is driven by creation of MOCs. BoBS is a community based on different action elements: 1) MRCA 2) licensing / buying / selling / trading / investing, etc. 3) character development / story telling 4) building / challenges So, building MOCs is just one element. What is more is that it is possible to play the game (1,2,3) very effectively without focussing much on building. On the other hand it is also possible to just build without playing the game. I fear that this may lead to the evolution of two groups of BoBS-participants with quite different intrinsic motivation.
  13. Will it be intrigue ... or war?
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  15. Thank you! In fact, this is where the title is from. Initially the chicken only had balloons, but then we added other vehicles, so the title had to change to "aviation" instead of "ballooning".
  16. Great MOCs! Welcome to Eurobricks!
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks! Have fun with "The Palace Cinema"!
  18. Magnificent - the trees are great and the houses are even better. Great scene!
  19. That is a fine updated version of that classic set
  20. Instantly recognizable, very good - enjoy the pancakes!
