  1. :thumbup:Great figs as always Mark! I'd like to some army building too!
  2. Grats on the win you got my vote!
  3. Thanks for the votes guys! A fabulous contest that I really enjoyed entering! Congrats to all the winners and everyone else who was inspired to take part! Well done in particular to Oky for doing so well in multiple categories!
  4. Unpopular opinions... The Lego movie was exclusively for kids... Everyone should get over it. I watched it with my nephew he loved every minute. I watched it with my wife and she wanted to turn it off after two minutes :). It did nothing to get adults interested in Lego who weren't already interested in itI don't think that was really the point. The jokes for adults were for AFOLS and super hero nerds (like me). My non Lego fan friends thought it was incredibly childish :)" Why don't Lego use the toy story large scale arms and legs more for figs like vader and chewie or Groot. People should stop bashing clone companies, especially when it comes to making figs, if they can provide cheap alternatives to spending 200 dollars plus on a green arrow then we should welcome that. People who discriminate against fleshies or yellow need to get a grip. I used to be fleshie only. but understand now that each has their appropriate place now. Its's just prejudice :). Monorail is never coming back. Minifgs are the best thing about Lego and sets need more not less figs, why don't they sell sets of minifgs anymore, as a kid the packets of spacemen were literally the best set I ever bought. I agree Lego should do a war theme. They won't do war but will sell pirate gallons, all sorts of crazy space tanks, and other clearly conflict based themes. POTC was great I wish it had lasted longer. Owning larger amounts of Lego enables you to become a better builder (not saying it equates to talent), everyone seems to ignore this basic premise. Eurobricks staff never blog small but clever builds. The front page is dominated by spectacular but seemingly always massive builds. I'd like to see more recognition for clever npu and topical builds. Cmfs should also be released in fleshie. Do two versions...
  5. Minifig comps are great as they allow so many people to engage without a vast number of bricks. I hope the Star Wars Battle pack contest is as popular!
  6. Cute little Moc! Has anyone told you about infinity walls? the presentation of your MOCs would be greatly improved if you took your pictures against an infinity wall. It looks like you take your pictures in a light box, but if you get a large piece of white paper and roll it up the back of your lightbox you will lose the seam between the floor and walls of your light box. This image illustrates what I mean http://www.framefoundry.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/lightbox.jpg Your mocs are really good fun, a little easy work will take them up a notch. hope you don't mind the constructive criticism..
  7. Hey fella Just as a side note for individual characters the LEGO cmf series has some great standout Castle figs particularly if you are working in yellow rather than fleshie. Brickjaggers shout on peasants is a really good call too!
  8. Porky is the stand out but I must say I thought the Barrel Boy composition was very cleverly done!
  9. This was a really fun contest to enter! I'm glad to see such great contests engaging so many members! Thanks for all the hardwork bob!!
  10. Molluskus is my favourite fig in the whole competition!
  11. Just checked back to see the finished Captain! Very nice combos!
  12. Hamson is my favourite - I like the fig and the name! :)
  13. Definitely worth a second look! I need some of those Jawa heads!
  14. My favourite series of late is the monster fighters stuff. I loved the steampunk vibe of their contraptions and the bmovie homages in the villains. I do love all the CMF figures and I really enjoyed the Lone Ranger sets despite the lack of popularity among other fans
  15. I love the clean presentation and nicely executed lines. It's an original idea - did you do this because of the limitations of your light box (that always affects me)?
  16. In my opiniong P.O.L is one of the stand out figs in the competition. Along with Paddies octopus creature.
  17. Very proud to have made the cut! Very difficult to choose just three from each category. As others have said I went for the most piratey things. I was particularly impressed with the number of entries and quality of category A, minifigs are my favourite thing. Category A. #1 #6 #8 Category B #1 #6 #12 Category C #1 #7 #8
  18. Parrot and dolphin are super cool!
  19. Shame you didn't get the last one done. Johnny stingray is the standout.
  20. Thanks Master Data! I hope people like the builds enough to consider a vote! There are so many really cool entries to the contest!
  21. Gorch is my fave here! a fair cap'n indeed! :)
  22. Ceno Piggy for the win! Paddy I believe theteethhead is from the atlantis minifig rane from the shark guy :)
  23. A very unified offering! Nice that the people have good stories to mark out their individuality!
  24. Fantastic Crew - Jako and Gratiz are my favourites! Bags of Character there!!
