Beautiful! Love the colour combination and the glass awning over the door! My favourite details on the inside are the bar and the oven.

This is great! I like how you did the planter boxes on the upper windows.
-
This is nice! I particularly like the dark green benches and the gold plaques.

Living Small - A suburban counterpart to the modular series
Kristel replied to SearchFunction's topic in LEGO Town
Nice! I can see these making for a great suburban layout. -
There's some nice features in this building so far, like the front door and the texture in the facade on the upper floor. To me, the upper floor feels more like a residential floor though (maybe because of the flowers?), where as the ground floor seems more like a library building.

This is gorgeous! I love the overall shape of the building, its colour scheme and the windows. I think the round end for the boat works just fine too.

Thanks! I haven't broken the building up yet, and reading all the comments has given me an idea for the interior. It won't be a news agency, but something somewhat related. Thanks for the inspiration everyone!

Awesome! Love the textures in the walls!

Thanks! Thanks! I like the idea of a news agency, as I don't remember seeing a lot of those done (except as news stands or kiosks).

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll probably be breaking this one up in the next day or so, ready for the next one on the weekend.

Thanks! Thanks Hobbythom! There are a few more in this Flickr album. None whatsoever. It's been around so long now and rebuild so many times that I really am over it. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, I just want to move on to the next one. There is another whole new building, two modified buildings and one remodelled building in The Promenade that have yet to be rebuilt and photographed individually. (Note to self: do the photography before the convention next time!) Thanks LT! Hardware store hadn't crossed my mind, but I suspect you could make it work as a hardware store!

Nice! I like the angled walls next to the entrance and the toilet seats in the plumbing section.

I'd like to present the Cast Iron Building, which was inspired by the cast iron buildings in New York This was one of the eight buildings in The Promenade, which was my individual layout for Brickworld in Chicago last month. I have built it several times now - the original build, a rebuild for the instructions to make sure I could put it together at BrickWorld, setting it up as part of my layout and then again this weekend to take photos. So, I'm a little over it! Hence, no interior and also no proper name, as this is always inspired by what's inside the building. Here it is as part of The Promenade (credit for the image goes to RoxYourBlox): Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions always welcome!

Great idea and nicely executed. My favourite details are the two tone walls on the small shed and the equipment for the ponds.
-
Nice! I like the colour scheme and the roof trim. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

Awesome collection of rooms, with lots of inspiration in each one. My favourite is the living room (love the blinds), followed closely by the laundry (love the vacuum cleaner).
-
Nice! I like the colour scheme, the tall bays for the trucks and that there is lots of variation in the walls and roof (i.e. not just rectangular box). Looking forward to seeing what you do with the interior.

Thanks again for sharing, Yooha! I've enjoyed following this thread and seeing what wonderful creation you come up with each day. Shame it has to come to an end!

Awesome design inside and out! I particularly like the black and grey walls.

No problems at all. I was surprised actually that I wasn't checked at all given there was more LEGO than clothes in my luggage.
