  1. That's pretty great; the resemblance to the actual roadrunner is spot-on. Really like the way you used those cheese slopes. Good work!
  2. If you want my guess, LEGO probably made this change so that the newer macaroni bricks would be more difficult to break.
  3. Glad to see that people aren't just mindlessly bashing this decision like in other corners of the internet. I think that Disney could do a great job with Star Wars. Does that mean they will? I have no idea. My hope is that they adhere to the spirit of the original films. Also, I assume that LEGO's Star Wars licence will carry over to Disney, yes?
  4. Love the pics; LEGO's put a lot of effort into this wave. AT-RT: Oversized, of course, but very well done. I love the feet especially. Not keen on the sniper droideka, though. New CT design is nice as well. AotC BP: Nice Phase I clone design, and finally some droidekas that are more realistically sized. But why are people complaining about the lack of leg printing? It wasn't many years ago that leg printing was quite rare. Z-95: This one's about average, but still cool. The nose seems off but the rest of the set is fine, and I like the new pilot. Will definitely have to change the color scheme to white and black for my film. Umbaran Tank: It's shorter than I expected, but it's so cute! Wish Ahsoka had a yellow blade though. BARC: Indifferent on this one, but it does look good. A-wing: Think I like this one overall, especially the new nose design. The pilot's helmet is cool. TOR BP: Absolutely love the figures, will need to pick up a few of these. Overall, I'm very happy. Just waiting for pictures of the planet sets now.
  5. Should have asked this earlier, I actually do want to know: why is everyone so disappointed with this list? Is it missing something you were expecting?
  6. It seems that a lot of people are disappointed with this line-up, and to be honest, I'm not entirely sure why. There are a lot of great things to be had from this: The SWTOR battle pack may or may not contain figures we've seen before, but it should make very interesting figures rather inexpensive. The A-wing was released more recently, yes, but this one does provide a cheap Mon Calamari for those who want more. The Z-95 Headhunter is a great ship, and a great surprise. Personally, I have needed one of these for my film, so it's good to hear that it's now a set. As for the planet sets: As previously stated, having to make a new head mold for a Kaminoan probably turned LEGO off to the idea, since I can't think of any other good sets that would feature Kaminoans anyway. And as to the Astromech droid, it's more than likely an updated print of R4-P17. Don't see much of a reason to complain there. The asteroid may not be a planet, but we've seen a lot of non-planets already. And besides, I'm sure that a lot of MOCers could use it as a large boulder or something of the sort; it doesn't have to remain in its original context. Been really looking forward to Coruscant; need it for my film as well... This is all assuming that the rumor is true, of course.
  7. Wow, well done while keeping it simple. Making the buildings look small and distant is hard, but you pulled off the effect...effectively! I also like your interpretations of the characters, good job.
  8. Thanks everyone, I will!
  9. Hello Eurobricks! I'm glad to join all of you here. This is without a doubt the most vibrant LEGO fan community I've seen, so getting to be a part of it is exciting. Anyway, I'm a brick filmer and Star Wars fan, so I'll be hanging around in those forums quite a bit. Maybe you'll even see one of my films, who knows. Without further delay, see you around the forums!
