Okay, loving the Volcano Base's parts, and it seems to have a lot of features, but a lot of parts make me wish this still had a bit of development to go, especially the top. Your drawing is adorable though, CM4Sci. I love your art style. I like all of the other sets though, especially the Tower transport. Macy's thunder mace is a little small, though. Ultimate axl is disturbingly bright and his arms look really stupid. Couldn't they have tried to use the gorilla fist pieces which the show version seems to have? Ultimate Lance is as meh as he could possibly be. Ultimate Flama and Magmar are great though. On the positive side, the tooth pit in the Fortress seems like it would be perfect for use as a summoning circle. If only it used less grey.

Aaaand he's tr. neon green. Not that I dislike it, but it's getting rather repetitive. Oh well, tr. blue MoC and dark blue shells in Storm Beast.

Yup, exactly my issue with it. They stand out way too much. The background is stylized and 2d-ish, while the toa are ridiculously detailed, outlined and fully 3d.

Considering he's already wearing the Mask of Control, I doubt we'll see a recolored version in his set as well.

LEGO seems to have deleted the brickset news article, apparently. Rather strange that they'd consider that too detailed for release.

Maybe you could disguise the extra attachments with spikes and the like to keep them from standing out too much? Or maybe you could decorate them with globlins . It's a Hero Factory mask, not Bionicle,

I'd prefer if the CGI was a little more abstract and stylized, so that characters look like they fit into the scenery and aren't just pasted over them.

Really hoping that our mystery exclusive contains something interesting. Maybe some insanely awesome combination of parts to make Spider-Globlins? Probably not, but since LEGO was willing to make the book keeper... And hopefully Clay's hover horse comes in one of the sets.

Eegh, that accented set-accurate CGI . It's so off-looking compared to the backgrounds.

On the other hand, the reviewer thought the color balance of the first wave's knights' sets was bad. So I'd take his opinion with a grain of salt. Ditto. Macy bots and Axl bots (and two of them!), plus the book keeper mean we get a great selection of minor characters. Really loving the sound of most of these sets, except the Tower Carrier, which sounds kind of pointless. It apparently looks like the horrible cave crusher set, but with a tower on top of it. I'm probably going to end up modding it into either one of the speculations we had (flying castle, leaves behind a weapon when it flies away) or turning it into a more formidable emplacement. Oh well, I'm going to need tons of parts for MOCcing anyway, and it includes Axl's squirebots. All in all, another have to get em all sort of wave. Really too bad the reviewer didn't mention more specifics about Ultimate Axl or Ultimate Flama. Personally, I'm hoping the change of story does not get rid of Jestro. He's an interesting character, and I'd like to see more of him. At least we get a chance to have plant villains. I really want my Rafflesilady and Mushlord figs. Really wondering how Whiparella is going to appear. Maybe there's a third wave of Ultimates? Or maybe she's just one of the figs in General Magmar's Siege Engine that he missed.

I think it looks great and really intricate, but I get the feeling the connection of the two segments is rather fragile and, as a result, unsuitable for swooshing.

Considering some parts of the fanbase, I've honestly got to agree with CM4Sci.

I'm guessing it has a few non-standard figures, thereby lowering the minifig count.

It'd be pretty easy to make dwarves. All they need is a new shorter leg mold. That being said, I can't imagine them making dwarves. Unrelated, but my mind instantly goes to this when I hear "Dwarf elves".

And apparently he's using dark brown, dark red and tr. light blue (see comments of the article)? That's...weird, to say the least.

Bionicle would stand out a lot more if they bothered to use more non-humanoid builds. They creatures were pretty good from that point of view, but then all humanoids for the summer wave. You'd think Beasts would be more bestial, but apparently bestial = humanoid. Unintentional social commentary is just the best. [/sarcasm]

That's...probably the most pathetic attempt at describing a theme we've ever gotten.

I'm hoping that that lack of minifigures either means a really huge base or just a lot of squire bots or Scurriers. Also, I get the feeling that the expression on that life-size Clay statue will become a meme.
