  1. Design looks good, but is there any way you can bring that swashplate down at all? The rotor mast is looking a little tall.
  2. Pretty simple so far, but I trust your ability to make it complex and interesting. Looking forward to the next update.
  3. I love this set, and I hope you can do justice to the design. Are you going to use technic Figs?
  4. I was reminded about two weeks ago, that I was supposed to finish the Ionos Sports Sedan last week. But what do I do when I am stuck on something? I design, build, create a studio file, make instructions for, and publish an entirely different MOC. Either way, a little distraction is fine, especially when another MOC is the result. Right? This MOC is the result of exploring Set 8283 a little too much for my Compact Loader; itself a result of wanting another vehicle to go with my Atmos Tractor. The influence of 8283 is apparent. The MOC features: Four Wheel Steering Boom Lift Boom Extension Fork Tilt Cab Door The Thirdwigg farm has about everything you need except for a harvester. Hmmm..... My building in Studio is improving. But I am not sure my instruction making is. Either way, feel free to find free instructions for this, and so many other of my MOCs, at Rebrickable. The buffer exchange does not always seem to allow the direction I need to show inserting a part, so ideas about how to rotate that would be helpful. And I can't seem to figure out how to add, for instance the below two parts, as one subbuild and then demonstrate insertion. I'll keep working at it. But as always, questions, comments, critiques, and laments are welcome. Now I am going to get distracted by a TC20 build....
  5. I know, It seems I was a little bit early with 8640 and 8850.
  6. Great choice and I am interested to see what you do with this. 6352 was the first set I remade in Technic, so it has a special place in my heart. Looking forward to see what you do with it. I already like what you did with the outriggers.
  7. Great choice of an iconic set. I'll watch this project with interest.
  8. It’s on my list of 30 options right now. We’ll see if it makes the cut.
  9. Nostalgic city is my aim, but yes, your notes about compromises and upscaling are serious concerns.
  10. Hurray! I am always excited about a new contest, and I am particularly excited about this one. This one is going to be peak nostalgia!
  11. Great job! I love any technic Garbage truck, and this one is very well thought out. I love all the mechanical features, and the color choice is fun! The tilting/bin opening features is great, but I think I would rather have a compaction feature instead.
  12. Me too! I'm looking forward to this contest.
  13. I am unclear if we are going with only Technic remakes, or any studed remake. If we go with Technic only, we should keep the scale similar. If we go with anything (town, space, Speed Champions), I agree, we should allow any scale.
  14. A sounds good to me, but I would prefer keeping the scale the same. How about +-5% as measured by studs/modules for the rebuild?
  15. I want to go with A, but if I'm honest I really want A so I build and see remakes of classis town or space in Technic. I guess I can do that on my own. B would be a lot of fun, so I don't have a problem with that.
  16. I would be fine with studless remake with only Technic or with any previous set. Technic only may limit the diversity of entries (how may 8865 remakes will there be?). It would certainly connect well to this forum. Opening it up to include any set may make the entries too broad. But I could see some fun recreations of 6693, 6357, or 6335. And anything IcePlanet or Blacktron 1 or 2 would be awesome.
  17. This build looks great, and adding to the tractor makes it even better. The span of the sprayer is impressive. Always nice to see another farming implement.
  18. Great build. It's nice to see a FWD MOC. Great job with the internal mechanics at this scale.
  19. That gets my vote. So many fun options...Old Technic, new Speed Champions, old Town, Pirates, whatever was going on in the 2000s.
  20. Wonderful little design. I love the teeth and the horns.
  21. I was joking. Sorry that was not clear.
  22. I also like the first option better, but this should be no surprise to those of you know some of my builds. I'm claiming right now Set 6542. Can I claim something for a contest that hasn't started yet? The second does not interest me, and maybe others. I am racking my brain already about what I would even consider for this kind of contest.
  23. Whenever I see something like that on Bricklink, without any referenced sets, I wonder "What's going on there? It sound's too good to be true. It probably is."
  24. I didn't think about the comparison to the Jeep. Yeah, the part count is similar, but the functions are much different. Yep, studded is a little more rugged, which I like a little less. Maybe this is why the update build is something I have enjoyed a lot recently.
