  1. Thanks! Going for the lettering then! Thanks Captain! Tried to take most of those, although sadly I don't have a brown tricorne. Newest version: By the way, I complied with the rules which asked for an 800x100 px banner, but that seems small to me. It'd take some work to design the same banner at a larger scale, but I could do it if that's necessary.
  2. gedren has it, although you're right too, I'm 'Murican originally but now I live in upside-down land. I went to the beach once there in December. Nice and warm but it got dark earlier than I was counting on. You know y'all might be the upside-down ones. Maybe south is up and north is down. That would be a real tragedy because then all our globes, maps, etc are all upside-down.
  3. A really cool (and slightly spooky) model, great idea with the cockpit underneath the body. I really like that bit of empty space on the legs too.
  4. What's with all the snow talk? It's warming up down here! Only a couple really hot days so far though.
  5. I didn't even know it came in brown. It looks surprisingly reasonable for the scarecrow!
  6. Fun use of those printed tiles! Just recently got a couple myself and been thinking about what to do with them. The stud shooters look good too, bring the perfect amount of visual interest to your tree.
  7. Nice design here, the gold, red, and black above the arches looks particularly good! Mecabricks renders online (and does a really nice job, especially if you're savvy with the settings) so if computer capacity is an issue that might work better.
  8. I spot three crowns here... and all very well incorporated! The flower crowns look especially good. Your fauna descriptions were enjoyable as always!
  9. Nice job on this, the roof and the sideways tiles on the buildings are special highlights!
  10. This is about the only ride I own at the moment... No oil changes!
  11. An impressive showing for the Queen's parade here, great collection of cannon fodder! Nice use of those new small arch pieces on the flat roofed building too!
  12. Updated with minifigures, a lighter shadow behind the words, and two versions one with and one without text. Not sure which one I like better myself! Thanks for the feedback everyone! Great suggestions. On the minifigure only version, I matched the minifigures/sigils up with the map. And fixed the overpowering purple!
  13. Here's the beginning of a Cat A entry. I like to WIP my digital designs so if anyone has suggestions I'll be glad to consider them!
  14. After deadline version: - darker text - greener ESL arms - black SR torso Previous update: (text) (no text) Thanks all who have contributed with suggestions! If you've got any more let me hear 'em! Original post: Here's my take on a banner so far! I would really like some minifigures on it. Guy's Uncle seems like a logical candidate for Eslandola, I'm going to try to photograph him today on a nice white background and edit that. However I need some from other factions. So if you've either got a good, solid color background photo of a well-known Corry, Sea Rat, or Oleander lying around already or are willing to take one for me, I'd be grateful! And of course, any suggestions are welcome. Is "the" too hard to read? Should I go textless and fill up the extra space with minifigures? How's the dual color effect for the sigils? C@C appreciated!
  15. It's a good thing this isn't a real series or my wallet would be screaming! Steampunk, polymath, expectant mother, prince charming - lots of great ones!
  16. The sand blue roof here looks amazing! I love how the birds bring it to life too. And of course, great use of that door for a small lean-to roof!
  17. I think I've done it a little... mostly in a generic way. It's been quite a while since I've done a proper story build though!
  18. Three cheers for the Pirate Bay from me, I do agree that it's likely to be on the pricey side but it's a really cool set and hopefully if it sells well that'll open up the doors for a pirate theme. Any other musicians excited about the piano too? Water hands down. Lemonade now and then and once a year a Mountain Dew (I know, I have horrible taste in sodas ).
  19. Great work building in such distinctive styles, each one is super unique and yet the marching soldiers make it clear that they all go together! Too bad you couldn't finish the whole series because you did a fantastic job with these. My favorite is Mooreton Bay (great colors! and some nice details like that window and the little vine) closely followed by Port Woodhouse and Camp Isaac (blue pants? looks surprisingly perfect!). Jameston reminds me of pistachio ice cream for some reason and looks literally cool. The Elizabethville roof is eye-catching and nice tree too - and of course, got to love those hussars! Commented on Port Raleigh in the other thread but I really like the height, compared to the others it gives you the feeling that this is a well-established settlement that's not going anywhere. Again, impressive work. I hope you don't give up on the project completely but show us the rest of the Corry settlements sometime!
  20. Hmm. Looks almost coral. Anyway thanks for the idea, I need to try it out now (says the person with not a single coral piece...).
  21. I think my favorite part of this is the top of the tower, the inset corner design is something I don't think I'd seen before and it looks good! Is that the new coral color mixed in with dark red for the house? A great combination!
  22. I haven't started yet but don't extend the deadline because I'll just wait longer.
  23. Cool, you did a really nice job with them, I like the long stringy approach! Nice job with the pig pen scene too, the transition from lighter to darker browns is great.
  24. The cheese slope floor looks amazing! The clay looks great and that's a nice large batch of camels you got. I miss a few tall palm trees though.
