  1. Really nice roofs! I like that way of keeping them on too, with the telescope pieces.
  2. Really like this ship, the length is impressive and great job on the firing cannons! Sails and rigging also looks impressive.
  3. Aw well it was supposed to have you reading Julius Caesar but we'll settle for the Malto Peace Talks... just kidding! I made it an excuse to go back over some of that stuff myself... Thank you! Thanks Garmadon! Hope the next chapter won't disappoint. Oh and: need LEGO shrimp!! Actually, I guess there were some brick-built shrimp in the Wrecked Shrimp Boat set... hmm, may have to build a few of those for my next scene...
  4. Might it have been yare? Had to look that one up myself... and apparently so does the spellchecker.
  5. Cool, learn something new every day! Maybe they'll be one in a build of mine someday...
  6. Thanks Captain Dee! You have a point!
  7. Thanks for all the comments! Feel free! I got (most of it) from the Heartlake City Restaurant. The head is from Rex Dangervest (The LEGO Movie 2). I think it's from the CMF version. Yeah, LEGO animals can get pretty pricey!
  8. A wonderful and massive Mitgardian castle! I very much like the varied layout, with lots of different roof heights and so on. The wood on top of the stone for the wall was a great choice too, and the icy moat really adds to the feel of the place. Impressive work shaping the snow on top of the roofs, and always good to see that black nexo knight shield technique! The rest of the collab also looks pretty amazing!
  9. Just gonna list a few of the details here - round window on the side of the stable, awning made using a flex tube, and those rabbit cages. Great work!
  10. A great first BoBS build, good colonial style with some obvious Eslandian influence! Others have mentioned the balcony, which certainly stands out, and I also really like those big round sections for flowers under the second story windows. Are those the semi-circle windows on their side? One small suggestion - another color for the ground might have been nice, say a few round light grey plates for stones or some dark tan for moist sand, or even some sand green moss or brown poles and such like for driftwood. Just a suggestion for what is already an excellent MOC!
  11. Welcome to Eslandola @A_Goodman!
  12. Neat roof here and the wall texture is also good with those garage door bricks! The pumpkin is a fun touch but whatever is that pickaxe doing sticking through the wall?
  13. Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III (you are here) Chapter IV There is a tide in the affairs of crustaceans, which, if not taken at its height, ebbs relentlessly, without remorse, and casts them at last beyond hope of rescue from the plate into the bosom of some voracious eater. Some two years ago this tide visited the shores of Nova Crablandia, throwing into the claws of the crustaceans the incomparable good fortune of being under the immediate protection of the Eslandian crown and the ever-faithful Captain Argentum. But, unfortunately, this tide was not taken at its height. True, by the good offices of willing Eslandian hands a small fort was immediately built out of sand, equipped with grapes, and manned by saber-wielding lobsters, but when Captain Argentum was obliged to leave the island and allow the Crablandian's neutrality to rest in the hungry hands of the Corries, the obvious necessity for further fortifications, escape routes, or even an evacuation to some more secluded place was not acted upon. There was some sporadic initial activity, but the crustaceans were lulled all too soon into a false security, a security that this summer's picnics have drowned forever. Yet hope is beginning to revive again. Sightings of a green feather waving in the breeze off the coast have caused the crustaceans of Nova Crablandia to… but that is for Chapter IV. Yay for using my new lobster! Enjoyed building a good ol' fashioned beach scene. C&C welcome!
  14. Cool Mitgardian scene, the rock in the background is a particularly good choice! Intriguing door shape too. Glad to see an entry on the Queen's side!
  15. Fantastic micro ships, the level of detail is very impressive! The rigging in particular but also those curves on the hulls. I really like the smoke and fire too. And fun story!
  16. Thanks Roadmonkey! Thank you, it was a little tricky getting everything to stay put!
  17. Thanks! One of those wacky things that pops into my head when I'm thinking about wacky characters like the good old Captain. hehe Thanks Bodi! Last minute inspiration there, you notice I didn't mention it in the story! Oh boy... I want to do that now... Thanks Ross! Yeah, weather might be an issue but pirates had better watch out 'cause that cannon ain't just for looks!
  18. Welcome @The Neighborhood Merchant! Great intro, I enjoyed how you showed your character in different stages (the dirty one was particularly creative! ).
  19. Yes, I think it'd be fine too, just be tolerant if anyone happens to spell it the old way.
  20. Captain Argentum is bound for adventure, and who knows where it will lead?
  21. Chapter I Chapter II (you are here) Chapter III Captain Edward Argentum, having shaken the moldy rafter dust of the Colonial Council from his feet (see Chapter I), is off to seek his fortune once again in the wide, wide world. With the usual prejudice of his class, Captain Argentum has a decided dislike toward voyaging in any ship save his own. Unfortunately, the Filo Morado sank many years ago. But such trivialities have never been known to deter the renowned Captain. With a piece of his broken chair to steer with, his cape for a sail, and a crate of nightcaps for King Fernando as ballast, Captain Argentum has set off on the one loose plank that had been saved from the wreckage, bound for adventure! Another fun little Captain Argentum build, plus a tribute to the Filo Morado (although the artist in me cringes at the out-of-place purple). Going to try to keep it up, so stay tuned!
  22. I've got a loose idea for Cat B too that I think could be really cool, but don't expect to have time for it soon. It seems to me that Cat A is kind of a one time (or once in a long time) thing since presumably the banner is meant to be used as a banner; but having some sort of ongoing Cat. B might be a good idea? On the other hand I would still not have done a Cat. A entry if it weren't for the deadline.
  23. A nice trio of builds, I have to highlight the dark pink flowers on the fort MOC, those really look good!
  24. While we're at, I've updated mine so here's the latest (and probably last) version:
  25. Imitation's the highest form of flattery right? Really like the fade to black you've got here.
