  1. My last Petraea Universtiy Build (click on the picture to go to the topic):
  2. Looks great, inside especially! Love the color of the stained-glass windows! Really too bad you couldn't tile the outside, but I like the way the flowerbeds turned out!
  3. Azc strolls leasurly through the Hall of Ancient History of Petraea University: Don't forget to take notes! If you ever catch me doing a stand-glass window again... for some reason, this gave me loads more trouble than the floor! A few minifigureless shots (as I am planning on entering this in CCCX Medieval Architecture Detail as well): This is my last University build (as there is no way I'll be able to do one before 12 tonight!), so I hope you enjoy it! C&C are welcome!
  4. Great job! Really suberb combination of stone and woodwork, love all the details and the sloping rockwork at the bottom!
  5. I consider it a shame they didn't go out to Chesterfield - but this is awesome news anyway, for a little while at least I'll have a PaB wall near me! Just hope I'm there when it opens... (at first glance it (May) seems like perfect timing, but my schedule is sure to get messed up/revised...)
  6. I agree, I don't think it's even supposed to be the overlord, LEGO just thought it would add something to the set to include the mouth piece (it does!).
  7. Went to my local store to pick up a minifig or two, much to my surprise I found a few packs of S3 and S5 bundled together (one from each), got one of those which turned out to be the Alien (S3) and Boxer (S5) (since they were packaged so you couldn't feel them... ), plus a S8 diver.
  8. Opps (I guess I got a bit carried away with how awesome I think he is.. ), fixed!
  9. I would say that, if you don't want the minifigs, licensed is actually better, since those minifigs sell very well and, even if you don't want to retail yourself, you can probably find someone selling just the sets (no minifigs) at a very good price (per piece at least). I got about $70 worth with minifigs and about $30 without the minifigs (USD). There's no way you could do that with a city set!
  10. Looks even better like this, nice background! I like the door and the wood shed, for re-taking photos (and for keeping it built that long! ) Great job, looks like quite a nice nocturnian residence!
  11. Nice waterwheel especially, I like the house foundation as well! Nice touch with the bubles in the stream too!
  12. Minifigure Month? It's impressive that you keep them all built! I don't think there's anyway I could do that!
  13. I thought it looked the same but wasn't quite sure. Glad to see you confim (since I wanted it to be the same face... )
  14. wonders if SK looks at my profile everytime I update my status...

  15. (Your play on words highly appreciated! ) Thanks!
  16. I'm not sure how good quality the last photos we got of the 2013 sets were, but here are the kind of mouse over to zoom in images of the sets: Cole's Power Drill Samurai Bike Garmatron Kai's Fire Robot Temple of Light Golden Dragon
  17. @MK, thanks! I hope this will answer them... even if it leaves you hanging a bit farther on! @mrcp6d, glad you (almost) found that useful... I've been using boats for shelters ever since I read about NA explorers and fur traders doing it... although they did use canoes... _____________________________________________________________ June 22nd. Back in Petraea, we have met up with Azc again, who has been having a wonderful time it appears - no robbers, elves, or blizzards, no mountain peaks, no lowland swamps - instead, the peak of the academic world and the only swamp he has known is Professor Steranthor's algae experiment. Regardless, he will take back his job as scribe again, and seems most eager to visit Cedrica and learn all he can of the history of this land. July 5th. We are traveling along the road to Queen's Cross once more, and I must say I sighed with relief on leaving the bulk of the parched lands behind. As I write this we are at the camp of the Nadur refugees; their village was destroyed by attacking elementals, and they have sought refuge at the Temple of the Red Ruby - a fabled place, said to have been constructed by a clan of dwarfs who foresaw the devastation to come upon the city of Kaligem, once the capital of Kaliphlin, and built a temple to protect the ruby which, legend says, led the founders of Kaligem to the location it then had. It is said that only the man destined to reconstruct the city of Kaligem will be able to take the ruby from its place, and to protect that man there is a hidden power somewhere in the temple. I wonder what would happen if the right man is not here? I could see, while the refugees told us the story, that Ageven was rather desirous of trying his fortune as that man himself, but nevertheless, we depart tomorrow and leave the Nadurians to fend for themselves. July 9th. We have come to the Arkbri river - once again. Azc seems to enjoy watching the moving water flowing rapidly down to the sea - truly there were no such sights to be seen in our homeland; the puddles that go by the name river there are nothing compared to this. We will soon set out - upstream this time - for Cedrica. It seems there is one spot, early on in the journey, where the waters become more turbulent, but we have been told that, though the portage is not easy, it will not take much more than a day. July 12th. We are sailing upstream as I write this, and I can already hear in the distance the roar of the cataract that marks the beginning of the rapids. Doubtless the next bend in the river will disclose it to view. Azc is looking eagerly ahead; though he saw the waterfalls near Quaker, it seems still to be a novel sight for him. We have rounded the point now - the scene is really very beautiful, the waterfall crashes with a loud roar - in fact, there are actually two waterfalls, a smaller one, quite near to us already, with a shack located near it, and, farther on, a much grander one, three or four times the size, and ever and anon, through the bursts of spray, a rainbow shines for a second, quickly falling again into the ever flowing river. "Go ahead, Azc," remarked Ageven, "You're welcome to explore while we unload." Azc bounded instantly over the side, and we remained, for a few minutes, gazing up at the awesome spectacle. Then, as though shaking off some strange feeling, Raz sprang overboard, turning the boat's head to land as he did so. Instantly a cry rang out - from the hut issued two bandits, springing down on Raz, who was floundering in the water. I could scarcely believe my eyes - the one who was on the rock, his sword clashing with Ageven's - it was the same one! The commander, the one who had attacked us, with three companions, only days ago! I could scarcely think, suddenly I recognized the other robber as the one with the bow, from our night's brush with them - I sprang up and let an oar fly, but the thief was too agile for me. The next instant they were in full retreat, dragging, or rather pushing, Raz along with them, the commander covering the rear. It was two against one, Azc would soon arrive - doubtless he had heard our shouts - but they knew the terrain, and made good use of that knowledge, as they dove through the underbrush, following paths that only they could have known. Raz struggled, but he had been wounded, and though we were running fast, they were faster - in a short time we were left, alone, near the banks of the Arkbri river. ________________________________________________ As it is, of course, impossible for Gad to know what is happening to Raz, I think I'll do a short story (one post, different topic) with him before going much farther with Gad. And here are a couple more pictures of the build it self:
  18. I think there will be five animals per tribe: Crocodiles: Crominius (Commander) Cragger Crooler (girl) Crawley Crug (Mini, there are six!, anyway this is the brown one) Edit: There's no crocodile named crocodiles... Only five then, but I don't see why to pick Crooler out rather than one of the others (maybe because she's crooler?) Wolfs: Wazk (Commander?) Winzar Wilhurt Ravens: Rawzom (commander) (thanks Jargo!) Razar Rizzo Razcal Lions: Laval (commander) Longtooth Lennox (my favorite of the lions) Leonidas ( ) Eagles: _______ (Female Commander) Equila Eris (female) Eglor ( )
  19. But they also get a looong summer!
  20. In these results the speedorz sets appear as well...
  21. Yeah, I can see how that would work for some people, but for me, my option is by random (S@H, mainly - interesting, that seems to link automatically) or paying extra. So it's not always a "too lazy to feel" scenario.
  22. Probably just because they're bying at random, and so they think they'll end up with a lot of them... my guess!
  23. Oh, that would be a lot cooler! Now that you mention it, it does seem to have a white tinge...
  24. MK, that's sounding quite interesting! Can't wait to hear more! I've completed the next part of my Journey of Exploration, I'll probably finish polishing it off tomorrow morning, and I'm also working on what will most likely be my last PU (can we abriviate the University?) build (an exterior - or a part of an exterior - this time!). Oh, and I have something that goes along with the Journey done too! Edit: And I have completed the next part of the Journey... Edit: My last University build! (Clicking on the picture will take you to the topic:)
  25. Late (September) 2013, I think?
