  1. Two counters from me: K15 Robuko K13 MKJ Plus K15 Jacob, from last week though.
  2. Thanks! ...though I am Kai NRG. Yes, maybe it should. I'm often quite unsure whether my builds should go in city or Sci-Fi! Thanks! Thank you! If only it worked, I could use one too!
  3. Very cute, especially the head!
  4. The din of battle raged all around and at last concentrated itself upon a little strip of wall toward the south. The Desert King forces pressed on in spite of the thickly flying arrows of the defenders, dragging ladders after them, scrambling up the rock on their hands and knees. It seemed that nothing would stop them; careless of death they came forward and at last, with a hoarse, triumphant shout, placed their ladders against the wall. Up top, the defenders couldn't help but grin. Those mummies were no good at math. The ladders were too short! Disheartened by their utter failure, the Desert King forces soon gave up and retreated in complete discomfiture. Comments are welcome! I believe this is the largest sliver of wall I've done yet, used up just about all my tan and dark tan 2x1 plates!
  5. Ska, I believe you gave us J15 when it was really a default win by the HC. (Garmadon did beat Bregir but there was no counter to DM's build.) Unless you were trying to, in which case of course we'll take it!
  6. Great work with the dropping pitch, it looks very realistic! The curved wall is well done too!
  7. Great job transitioning from the grey to brown, I like the bright vibrant colors as well!
  8. Decided to take advantage of the multiple counter clause... A counter against Robuko at K15 A counter against MKJ at K13 Am I right that there's not a guerrilla thread for this week yet?
  9. A counter to MKJ's build. At first, our rich Ulandian friend was rather surprised and a bit nettled to find a bunch of rats in his newly purchased food supplies. But then he found a good use for them... against the Desert King, of course. A spot to store the ammunition when not loaded: And it actually works, in case you were wondering! It was rather difficult to get a picture like that though. Comments are welcome! Thanks for taking a look!
  10. Just this morning I received a second dispatch from Uridius Dratiphe. It ran thus. To Ageven Deriam, Sixth Centurion of Ulandus, In the hand of Sir Uridius Dratiphe. My dear Ageven, I write to inform you that after their bacon and hamburgers, the citizens of the fire plagued city have taken to snacking upon a soft, roundish white thing with a light texture and a pleasantly sweet flavor. I spent the night in the city in one of the few inns still standing and was invited to try a few. They are really quite delicious, especially when toasted over the hot coals left by the Regrettable Incident (the first one). I send you two by the hands of the messenger, with strict injunctions that he eat them not upon the way. I highly recommend you toast them slightly before consumption. Truly yours, Sir Uridius Dratiphe I did try them - toasted over a candle - and really, they were quite good! After this civil war is over we shall have to try to market them! This is quite a milestone for me. My first 4x4! C&C welcome!
  11. The tag/duel concept is intriguing to me, I'd actually thought up a few double counters, so to speak, countering a counter. Personally, I'm not stressed at this point neither do I think that I've had to sacrifice quality for quantity very much. However I would not mind a step down from the admittedly rather hectic routine and at this rate I certainly do not want any extension. In fact in general I don't think an extension is a good idea, even if we're still going strong in June. Better to end on a high note than to fizzle out. IMHO if you're not interested in building war MOCs several of the zones still have other possibilities - eg. the aqueduct, there was no need to depict a battle there. Intrigue is hard to depict in an exciting, eye-grabbing way. Plus it gets old pretty fast... imagine if all the guerrillas we'd had so far had been intrigue! That said, my next guerrilla does happen to be intrigue. Edit: I do think amount of GAs should not be cut until the end of the month, in other words, leaving us plenty of advance notice.
  12. It was a day like any other, deep in the industrial zone of LEGO City. Back in the little known minifigure factory cute little robots were churning out minifigures like they always did - heads, suits, hands, hairs, heads, suits, hands, hairs, and so on. No one knew how it happened. Certainly the robots didn't know. Maybe it was just a glitch. Maybe it was a criminal! No one knew. But somehow, something went wrong. One of the heads. Two of the hands. Something about their color. just. didn't. seem. right. It. was. flesh! And that was the beginning of the end. A close-up of the production line: And all my little robots! A bit of a hark back to my Cake Manufacturers. I love this kind of build! I hope this is the right place for this. As you probably have guessed, I'm not a fleshie fan! C&C welcome! Thanks for checking it out!
  13. Thanks Garmadon! The most unusual is often the best!
  14. Great counter Garmadon, the run-over ship looks great and the micro town is pretty neat!
  15. @Blufiji, for the UoP posting it as an Avalonian MOC would be fine but I would seriously discourage posting the same MOC on EB twice. Better just wait until you have another similar build, getting through the program goes pretty quickly if you just stick with it and after all the goal is to improve! Also, something I forgot before, but previously only four old builds were allowed to count for credits. I'm not sure how that works now, for yours I think we can let it slide, but just a note for anyone else planning on doing the same sort of thing.
  16. Negotiations have commenced with myself and Garmadon representing Ulandus and Little John and Adair representing the High Council. We'll let you know when finalized!
  17. Yes, I do agree with that second point. It's very hard to tell who's doing what though, unless of course they've said so. By the way, it would be possible for a team to completely blow category C and still win the challenge because of their showing in the other two categories right?
  18. Well, just on the side... from what I understand there is an individual category C winner as well right? So you know, even if your team doesn't do a whole lot and has no chance at winning, there's still some incentive for you to build personally. Except, to be sure, Garmadon and I have maxed out on builds every single week so no one else stands a chance... but other than that! Actually, if you're Nocturnian or Avalonian you still have a shot at a laurel if there is going to be a winner from each guild. (And yes, I know that points aren't everything, just a factor in who wins.) @Ska, edit: I suppose not - and I don't have any problem with allowing more counters - but making them lose a square would be penalizing them I think. Closing membership doesn't make sense to me because for one thing, at this stage of the game most super active builders are probably already signed up, and second, the DK doesn't even have the most members!
  19. While I wholeheartedly agree that the DK should in no way be penalized for its effort, I don't see any reason to change the GA rules (no more guerrillas on a team than half that teams members). You are perfectly welcome to GA the HC any day! Anyway, given the inside squares get more time rule I think we're doing fine.
  20. I agree with SK; every team has some awesome builders. I also agree that the DK certainly should not be penalized things shouldn't be made harder for the DK just because of the fantastic effort they've shown so far. I voted for permission for the GLs to be able to counter but only because I couldn't vote without selecting one option. Personally, I think things are fine the way they are. Numerically there isn't much difference between teams and if the DK is able to get so many members building, good for them! (As for skill level, that's a different question but I do think things are more or less equal with us Ulandians on the worse end for sure though!) We're really not very far into this thing and although the DK may be pulling ahead, a few weeks from them with the same amount of activity (or lack thereof!) as has been shown by the HC this last week and things would be quite even! Best Sand: Emma. Although I do think mine was pretty good.
  21. Welcome to Kaliphlin! A very nice intro build!
