  1. Thanks! Take 05 The free time comes slowly to its end and i soon have to get back at work, so, quiet rush time now. I managed to merge both front end and rear suspension system. This gives me an even worse headache than yesterday's chabli,bubbles@co. But it works. As often building bike, i came with an intricate compact solution, particulary in this are of the model. With my previous bike as reference i improved some details. The chain link is now on the good side of the bike, the Acrapovic exhaust find it's good place. Picture: The sharpened angles and sculpted design suits to it's Takana name. Acrapovic exhaust Confortable no? Cockpit view The model received a retractable stand S.
  2. Oh my bad, Makes me travel through time ! And this machine with it's unprobable, but really cool, gearstick's position helps into travelling in time. By the way, I love the concept! ...And you'll be able to tell us all if lego studfull building is just like biking, once learned, never forgotten... S.
  3. You're welcome. May i suggest you to remove the external pulleys? The reason is: the summ of the widths of all the parts can produce a little stress on parts that will have bad consequences on the system's movement, replace them by half bushes and make sure that the two remaining pulleys are not too tight on the pushrods. S.
  4. So we are both nearly 100 years old lego experienced designer I hope everything goes ok with this earthquake... You're welcome. I get this design built and never foud the way to finnish it. Be aware that this design give a wiiiiide bike!
  5. I am also on the same line. They are good looking parts for standing expo models, not for intensive use. I find them flimsy, too soft and built out of bad quality plastic so you absolutely need a strong structure to fix them. I personnaly use older one for TC19.
  6. 1. It is a 4 speeds gearbox. 2. The shifter needs to be supported between two liftarm. The pulleys must be positioned on either side of the levers too. Thanks...and thanks for advises. It is true that black parts are difficult to photograph. Especially by this season with poor outside light.
  7. Hello! With such a chase angle, would it even turn???? BTW, i posted a gearbox and stepper that may have your interrest. I also notice that you tell the frame would become too wide with the defendrer's driving rings....but your frame is both side 2 studs wide; it could be only one. This way, even with the correspondants driving ring, the whole thing could be 1 stud stiffer than actually. S.
  8. Work still goes on. Today i'll let you some pics of a prototype i build few days ago. This one was not selected due to too few fixation points for a correct frame. It purpose was to keep all functional elements in one as compact as possible design. This also gives you all a clear idea of what's inside my model. As @Jim asked for inner view of the model, this section shows exacly what 'll happen in the final model. Feel free to use it in your own built if you want! Competition is for fun first Hope to see more models on the EB's higway S. S.
  9. original approch' i'll look forwards at your build.
  10. I aml wondering how your gearbox worcks... After hours of searching, mine didn't comes to life ever...
  11. as an helicopter 'afectionados' i was hopping a stunning technic build...and i discover just a perfect designed model! Well done!
  12. This radial engine is a masterpiece! I am asking myself how it could look in a further historical airplane Moc Now the hard part of it, make the direction work proprely! Something tells me that when turning in the "pull" direction of the flex it will be ok, but when needing to push it.... Good luck with it!
  13. well done! I like the use of the joint ball as light support. Clever use of parts!
  14. Go head! looks good, and the potential of the idea is coming nicely to life!
  15. Take 04 It seems that the new frame gives quiet good results: I also build the rear swing arm with a compact suspension setup and intergrated fender: Now, those two things have to come together, and there will be a problem...if attachement poins are barely ok, there isone stud of missalignement in the chain transmission with the gearbox entry. I knew it from the very begining, but i put it along telling me i'll see this later. We are later, and still have to look at this issue... S.
  16. Your're right, black fits better the lime color. Take 03 - rebuild 2 I decided to give a chance at another kind of structure. crazy angles all over here, but convincing results i found: Now time to fix proprely the front end... I am more happy now, The all engine block as gone to the front by more than 3 studs, the pistons are now already in a proper position (not in the fuel tank anymore), looks really better and more credible... So much still to do here!... S..
  17. For my part I struggle always on the same things. I always build a first model based on overall shape and look. I then build a second one with technical part next to the first one that I keep built for reference. Then comes the more difficult part for me. I have to merge both of them in a third one just as I try actually for TC19. An there comes the troubles....
  18. Really done, no. In fact absolutely not. Take 02, rebuild 01 After working on for hours, i progressivelly tryed to get all those things int the 'system'. And i am not happy with the result of it. - The overal proportions become wrong, way too long, - The 'empty spaces' between engine, frame and body work dissapeared, and it is not a good thing, - I failed at building a further gen' gearbox,.. However, the front end slowly find a form... Small panel as shark sharpened looks ok, but nees better integration Overall too large wheelbase. What about the color combo: blue by touch / green / white? S.
  19. Take 01 After some hours pass at building, here is the actual results: It seems that may latest one will have a friend to race with This said, those two bike will be very different. After attempting at building a 6 speeds gearbox, thing i actually didn't suceed, i just worked on what i think could be better done. This step is important as it is the moment to setup some key things, First i choose a setup where the main frame is built strongly titlting to the front of the bike. The laterals panels bordering the bike indicates you the angle. This mean some difficult angles to find near to the bottom of the bike, i'am pretty ok with the overal panneling disposition. I put this angle in order of getting two things: get the mounting point of the oscillating arm higher and be able to pass the exhaust line under it. Some view in progress: now, i have to built something that doesnt fall in parts when touching it. This motorbike needs a frame and a gear box that doesn't work upside-down... S.
  20. @someoneIIXX @Rabbit Hole @mitx2529 Files are sended...
  21. You're just in According to the rules, building a buldozer, F40, or heavy machinery is possible as long as it has 2 wheels or 3 if it is a sidecar
  22. I love this built! So sad i Don't have this micro motor Under the hand... The Walking realization is 'clock'precision and it comes out some sort of poesy from your design. Hat off! S.
  23. Oh, no. This wasn't my intention at all! However, all these builts are largely documented and easy to find on this forum, so, no. No wish of intimidate anyone. But you are right on one point. It isn't more easy for me! Pleased to see you in, BTW. S.
