After TLG acquired the largest dedicated secondary market for their product, I am starting to believe they are indifferent to or even encourage scapling. -

False analogy. The Star Wars ship is perfectly functional without the stand. The Earth globe is not functional without the stand. Wow, you're not prepared to concede a ridiculous point but dig yourself into a deeper hole. Let me spell it out for you: The Earth Globe as it is depicted in the IDEAS project, is something you put on a bookshelf or desktop. It is a functional device that was used to educate children about geography not astronomy. It does not represent a device that space agencies use to send people into space or launch satellites. -

^Seriously? Anyway, of the four classic themes Space has received the most attention in recent years, from the various TLM sets, City Space, Creator 3 in 1, and several Ideas projects. Also, there have been various Pirates sets in the last 5 years, and if you go as far back as 2013 Western was well represented in the Lone Ranger theme. Which only really leaves Castle as the big void of the four, but for many Castle/Fantasy fans, the LOTR theme was enough to scratch that particular itch, for others it wasn't. Interesting that there was a recent LEGO IDEAS Bionicle project that didn't pass review. -

I agree wholeheartedly Also, it seems to me that final model is on the same scale of Medieval Market Village, where it can added to this set. Does anybody agree? -

Another Brick In The Wall replied to JackJonespaw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's amazing how they were to get the correct droid orientation on such a small scaled, compared to some of the larger X-Wings (I know this was corrected in the 2018 X-wing). If anything, this is a nice stop gap until the UCS X-Wing gets a refresh in 2-3 years time. -

The distinctive exhaust was removed, brighter colour scheme, prominent logo on the side, steering problem in the final design, I could go on. Truth is, that the original design should never had been accepted because it took too many liberties.
