  1. They just now discovered that the V-22 is used in the military?
  2. Just for an experiement I built the Ducati swingarm to try on my 42036, but soon noticed that the chain is not parallel due to the gears and hub that are used. Is this right? Pretty sure I built it correctly. It's also not that stiff as a structure.
  3. Yikes! Not good at all. Quality has definitely taken a hit in recent years.
  4. It's a beauty! I really wish I could build it!
  5. The floating liftarm/blue pin near the rear fender panel?
  6. In case anyone had been waiting, Bricks & Pieces is now available in the US. I grabbed the new brake discs and a wide rear tire.
  7. Nice I'm thinking about ordering this from Europe, and the total cost is actually not far off the US msrp.
  8. I'm lime green with envy right now... I have decided to wait until general release so I can use a gift card on the purchase. $400 US is more than I care to spend right now.
  9. Great review as always, and so fast! I see you brought up one of my only concerns with this set, the painted rims. I wonder what color is beneath the gold paint and how durable it really is.
  10. The unboxing experience is obviously something that many consumers do care about. Just look at the countless unboxing videos on YouTube featuring the latest and greatest tech products, and how many views they get. They want people to feel as though they are getting a taste of actually buying a Lamborghini.
  11. It may not be a technical leap above the Chiron, but for me it smashes the two previous releases in terms of presence. It is stunning.
  12. I'm curious how the doors will work too. The return of dampers, white rubber bands, or nothing at all? The doors on the Sian, like the Aventador, open outwards while opening up, and not just straight upward like on the Countach or Diablo.
  13. Ducati actually switched back to a more conventional suspension with the V4, V4S, and V4R.
  14. Oooh! Nice! Time to start modding, albeit digitally for now. I still find it utterly bizarre that this arrives on August 1st here in the US.
  15. Well I think it looks fantastic, and I'm beyond happy that it appears to be lime green or at least something similar. The gaps are well placed and everything flows quite nicely. The roof is a bit flat, but the designers must have figured the 3x13 or the new panels were too convex in shape perhaps? Can't wait to see the rear now, and of course the Technic bits on the inside.
  16. Actually, the Sian does have an active rear wing. Hopefully that feature is included.
  17. Very impressive. The gearbox, brake discs, and windscreen are nice touches. It isn't easy to get certain shapes and details right with a Technic motorcycle, even in this scale. I do wish the new front fork pieces included some sort of attachment point for a fender and calipers, although playability would likely suffer. The lack of a radiator is noticeable, as well the rear being not as polished as the front half.
  18. Just got back from Walmart here in NY, and there were eight of these on the shelf along with quite a few Speed Champions sets. Packaging looks great in-store.
  19. Jim, I have the 4.3.11 installer. I'm not sure where to upload it though; it's 311MB.
  20. I added extra liftarms around the rear, to make it level with the operator cabin and boom. I have also changed a few other things since then like replacing all visible red 2L axles, and I added a safety cage on top of the superstructure. Has anyone tried adding the new 15L actuators to this set? Perhaps there is not enough space? It is a shame that the boom on 42009 doesn't connect closer to the rear like on the real thing, but the gearbox is the issue there I suppose.
  21. A Lamborghini Sian in Land Rover green? No thank you. That would be a huge missed opportunity considering the striking colors these cars are known for. Too bad the Ultimate wasn't the new McLaren 765LT instead. What a beast!
  22. A Fiero rocket car. I would be shocked, only I'm not. They really should have stopped after Tokyo drift, but here we are. Really curious to see what this turns out to be for $99 EUR. Certainly larger than the Corvette, right? Something near 1:10 scale hopefully.
  23. Hopefully not Land Rover green indeed, or even bright green really. Lime green or nothing!
