I'm really divided over the new Pirates theme. I'm excited that it's back and I like a lot of the new elements. But something about these sets is just ugly to me. The colors seems to clash, for one thing. I think the minifig designs look too busy. These Imperial Guards don't hold a candle to the originals. I think part of my problem is I think Lego's more detailed faces don't look right on a minifig body a lot of the time. The smiley faces worked better with the original Imperial Soldier outfits, I think. And the new outfits seem lacking. The pirates are okay, but seem more generic this time around. And the sets themselves are just lacking something aesthetically in the design that the originals had. I am disappointed in Pirates 2009, but I'm still tempted to buy a couple of the sets. lol

The snow is actually a white bath towel. Never leave home without one. :-) And uh oh, I'm a big LOST fan, Can't wait until Jan. 21...

Seeing as how the idea for this arc started with me saying, "Hmm, how can I show off my Lego TARDIS?" and then developing a crazy possible future from there, I hadn't really planned for it to have an immediate impact on other storylines. It's more far-reaching. The thing about Mikey doing something bad in the future to screw up the timeline was an idea that came about in the writing of this; it will be factored in again, but I hadn't initially planned on it. But the characters you see are valid representations of themselves, just in other circumstances, because I wanted to use some characters that haven't had enough face time. You'll see more and more of the Ice Babe as times goes on. And Red, who is currently a minor character but has been meant since the beginning to be one of the important ones. I just haven't found much of a place for her, yet.

You foresaw the feline transformation? :-P

Yeah, it would be weird for Blacktron to be mentioned and then not included in the sets. It does make them sound past tense, but I'm hoping that just means that perhaps they'll already be in the Space Patrol modular prison cells. :-D The fact that we could be seeing new Space Police and Blacktron has me beyond excited. Bring on some pictures!
