  1. Just an FYI, the site that hosts my comic, Drunk Duck, is not working properly right now and may not be fixed today, so it's delaying the new comic I have ready. On the bright side, I had a lot of free time yesterday and took all the pictures I'll need to complete up through the 100th comic. (We're at 90.)
  2. In other words, you want more Exo-Force. I sure hope Lego doesn't do that. Mecha would be great in another line, but I would like to see very little of it in Space Police. Anime and manga, BAH. And I know Lego utilizes more play features these days, but I'd like to see more straightforward Space Police sets. Some kind of automated lock-up mechanism for imprisoning the bad guys might be alright. BTW, Blacktron is most likely human, so they could fit in with you idea. That's what I voted for. Though I have to admit, having UFO as the baddies would be an interesting twist.
  3. Well, Adam's on the ball! Wow! He remembered when Valkyrie made the date and told Schwartz to meet her by the Captain Jefferson Dash memorial on Europa. That storyline starts the week after next. Yeah, I wanted to make Dash gray but I didn't have the right pieces. I could come up with better torches, I suppose, just not sure what. I will admit that I don't work that hard on quick constructs I need to make to suit storylines. It's more about getting it done quickly and on time, and spotlighting the actual Lego Space ships and bases. I mostly like how this came out and don't mind the white figure because it stands out. If anyone has any torch suggestions and I can do it with the pieces I have, I'd like to know, since I'm probably gonna photograph this story tomorrow.

    Happy Birthaday!

Happy birthday to all! CP5670, get yourself some Space Legos! :-D
  5. Since the next comic won't go up until Sunday at the earliest, let's play a little game. What is this? Long-time readers with good memories should be able to figure out what this is and what it means.
  6. The holograms are a little bit difficult of a concept to work with, but having Schwartz own a TV that projects images in 3-D and lifesize on the living room floor gave me an opportunity to use minifigs from all themes. The last time he used it, he was playing a video game in which an Imperial soldier was duking it out with a Fabuland monkey. I don't know how well it came across in the latest comic, but Schwartz's cat and two of the baby-bots run through the hologram of the Space Vixens, causing it to break up; Princess Leia briefly disappears, as does Poison Ivy's torso, and Agent Trace's speech gets all messed up. I feel kind of bad that the first "appearance" of the Arachnoids in the comic is as a robo-space carrot, but they'll get a proper introduction eventually. I think the only other faction that has yet to make an appearance is Spyrius. I've got ideas for them, but I'm saving them. Around the corner? LOL, you have to understand, the prospect of pot roast is a powerful thing for Schwartz, as his love of food is a driving force in his life. He likes the ladies, too, but this is pot roast we're talking about.
  7. That's just fantabulous. You made this look like a real world building, yet it's not out of place with minifigs. And I love the underground lake of lava. Just... WOW.
  8. LOL, you suck.
  9. WhiteFang, I have a lot of favorites, lol, most of them Space sets. I'm enamored at the moment with King's Castle Siege, though, and I'm a long-time Indy fan and love the Lost Tomb set.
  10. Poison Ivy, Princess Leia and Agent Trace are the Space Vixens!
  11. I didn't realize so many sets weren't available across the world, so now I feel kind of silly for being upset about a couple of Castle items being exclusive to the rest of the world. Can non-North Americans at least buy Batman and such on S@H?
  12. LOL, you know it was tried to even lead to that warning. Yeah, I'm an American, but I can admit there's an annoying tendency some people here have to blame everyone else for their problems and to demand retribution from elsewhere when they do something stupid. What really needs to happen is massive lawsuit reform, but I'm not holding my breath.
  13. It's Lawsuit Central for everyone.
  14. RLF (Part 3) is up. Hope you like: http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=456763
  15. LOL, nope, just the Gamma-V and that funny-looking tent next to it.
  16. Yeah, if any of my overseas friends are able to help me with this, I'd be much obliged! What puzzles me is that Lego has in the past released non-American sets on S@H for American customers, such as the Mars Mission Ultra-Drill Walker.
  17. I posted this in the Castle Sets 2008 thread but it seems to have gone unnoticed there. Over at Classic-Castle.com, it's been revealed that Lego will not be selling the 2008 Castle Advent set in North America, not even through S@H. It was never developed for the American market and the packaging isn't set up for it, an issue that would be costly to change. This really, really sucks. You can read more here: http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewto...35&start=15
  18. The Space Police are too awesome for me not to find ways to include them.
  19. There's a discussion going on at the Classic-Castle forum about how the Castle Advent calendar will not be sold through S@H to customers in the U.S. and Canada! Is this true? How could Lego do this?! I was on board to buy two of these; now I can't get any! http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewto...sc&start=15
  20. RLF (Part 2) is now up! http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=456231
  21. Thanks, dj2005! Always awesome to meet new readers!
  22. New story starts today, brother! RLF (Part 1): http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=455751
  23. That's actually a very good idea...
  24. The 2008 City Advent Calendar is now up for purchase at LS@H, along with last year's set. I hope this means the Castle Advent Calendar is close behind! http://shop.lego.com/ByCategory/Leaf.aspx?cn=225&d=292 The set includes 9 figures (as advertised on the box), so I can't believe there will be 4 dwarves. In the picture below, I can see 8 figures, and only one of them is a dwarf. It looks like only one figure is a mystery, unless it's on the box and I missed it: http://brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=7979-1
  25. This week's comics wrap up with the final part of "Beat Me, Blacktron!": http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=453005
