Sorry for the withdrawal! There will be a new comic up late tonight (1 a.m. EST, from my perspective). After that, I'll need a few days to complete the 100th comic. I know that sometimes the outcomes are predictable, but I think it's just more evident when a comic has to end in a certain place, usually on a cliffhanger, and you're left to think about the outcome instead of it just happening then and there. Darth Legolis, thanks for the link! I will make that banner one of these days. I can see it in my head!

Okay, we're back in business! Sorry for the delays. Drunk Duck is having an issue with larger file sizes, so I was forced to go back to using JPEG. However, I discovered they don't look so bad if I convert to PNG first. Using smaller image files was something I needed to do for awhile, so perhaps this is for the best. Still, some compression shows in places. :-/ Anyway, here are links to the "Thursday Night, At Last" storyline on Drunk Duck, including a new comic! Yeah, Drunk Duck hasn't been letting me update my comics because they're PNG files. I hope they fix it soon. That's why the story has been stuck on part 1 there for over a week. What I might do is just use JPG with less compression in the meantime. And yeah, I've been mirroring this storyline on Smackjeeves, which has parts 2 and 3. Part 4 will be up soon.

Nice play on SEEKER, the fan name for the jets like Starscream. That's a pretty nifty triple changer. Good job.

Drunk Duck, the site that hosts my comic, is now totally down after only making uploading difficult yesterday. As it's not clear as to when it will be back online, I'm going to temporarily switch to posting the comic on SmackJeeves, which is a good comics hosting site but is too limited on image size and length for me to normally use it. I had to post the comics in JPEG again, BLECH! Here are links to the first two parts of "Thursday Night, At Last"; the first part was posted last Tuesday and the second part was posted yesterday, so I imagine some of you might not have gotten to see the latter before Duck crashed: Part 1: http://legospace.smackjeeves.com/comics/46...at-last-part-1/ Part 2: http://legospace.smackjeeves.com/comics/46...at-last-part-2/ And, here's a new comic! Glad you liked it, guys. I could have gone a lot of ways once she pulled the gun, but I wanted them to have an actual date! No one said it had to be easy, though.

Okay, it's finally up! Just in time, too. I was about to walk out the door. Thursday Night, At Last (Part 2): http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=463618

There's been a sizable gap this week between comics because I've been really busy with my regular job and my freelance work. So, I finally finished a new comic today and went to post it, only to find that my host, Drunk Duck, is malfunctioning once again. *sigh* I'll post the comic as soon as that site allows me to, although I'm gonna be out most of tonight rockin' it up in Philadelphia.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
KDog replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These really don't appeal to me, but I'll have to look at them closer in the shops. If anything, I'll probably pick up the robo-suit that reminds me of the one Ripley used in Aliens. And I would like to have one of the monsters. The big drill is a cool design but the colors... don't know about those. I've already shown Rock Raiders in my comic strip, and these toys look like a follow-up to that, so that's another reason to buy at least one. I'm starting to think this means we're actually not getting Space Police III, though... Wow, I had the same experience! Agents didn't impress me at all at first, but now I've had a complete turn-around on it! the Speedboat Rescue set won me over. -

Does anything ever end well in this comic? ;-)

To quote a line from Ghostbusters II, "Better late than never!"

Thanks for checking it out, N13OS!

I love the classic stuff, also. KCS is currently sitting in a place of honor on my bookshelf. It's a very fun set and I love the skeletons vs. knights theme. A shame it's being phased out. Thank you for the compliments on the comics! I hope some of you check out the comics. Always happy to entertain and hear your thoughts.

I think the ending of Part 6 is more a revelation that a punchline. It's always interesting to me how the humor will be received. When I wrote th script for this story, I thought Part 6 was the funniest due to its outrageous nature and that Part 5 was almost a throw-away, but people seemed to really like the punchline in Part 5. I also think I sometimes put the funniest parts in the middle of a comic instead of at the end. The next comic, for example, has a line in the second or third panel that I think is the most amusing part. But I'm not always going for a traditional comic strip joke set-up. Sometimes it's about drama or sentiment.

I could definitely see it being used again. I'm glad I didn't just call it Veggie Tales. ;-) They're the baby-bots!

Look at it this way. Schwartz may have fooled the police for now, but it's never that easy.

So, I've topped myself? ;-)

I was going to explain the name of this story in the comments section of the next comic, but I might as well do it here. The intent of this story was to make it like a sitcom, with the adventures taking place at Schwartz's houses and involving laughs about domestic issues. RLF stands for Robotic Life-Form, and is a parody of ALF (Alien Life-Form), a sitcom about a family that takes in an extraterrestrial and tries to hide him from the authorities and neighbors. So, this whole storyline is an ALF parody. lol I even threw in a reference about mistaking cats for food. In fact, the "nosy neighbor" sitcom archetype appears in the next comic.

Schwartz can be very resourceful when it comes to things like basic pleasures and avoiding responsibilities.

Why not have a Mythology or History Theme Lego Sets
KDog replied to boogiewoogiekid's topic in General LEGO Discussion
While I have no complaints about more Pirates sets, these are great ideas!
