  1. Excellent news! This is also the LEGO Island sections of this forum!
  2. Thank you for sharing to humble community! A backstory is always most welcome - but what's intriguing me more is who built those ruins on Island of the Lost?
  3. But your loving fans cannot wait that long! In the mean time, tell us more about your lighting technique. You appear to have an aquarium with some overhead lighting and then some smaller LEDs built into the ships...
  4. Now do more showcases like this!
  5. A few days hath past... So frontpaged!
  6. MarcoMak loves the sea, ships and LEGO too, which is why he built this showcase using lighting to simulate different times and environments of the sea. Head over to the LEGO Pirates Forum to see the showcase in dawn, dusk and even rainbow environments! More Photos!
  7. The biggest controversy with imitation brands was; they were stealing LEGO set designs and/or designs built by AFOL MOCers. If Marco P. who is credited for the design of these Bluebrixx sets has granted approval, then they're not stealing. Like you said, there is only a patent on the LEGO minifigure design. Furthermore, the LEGO Group was denied a patent on "SYSTEM" interconnectivity to ensure their products remained competitive and innovative.
  8. Let me think on this... I've just got back from 10 days away and I've got a mountain load of work to get through. So I'm already struggling to find time for the LEGO Pirates as it is... but I do see the potential in what you're doing here!
  9. I have some limitations in this area: I don't have a suitable camera setup for producing quality video. The only web camera I currently have is in my laptop and that's horrible quality! To make matters worse, my laptop's video card appears to be failing and I'm experiencing horizontal lines running through the screen so I'll either need to get it repaired or replaced completely. I probably could do with some media training before embarking on such a venture - my video presentation skills could use a lot of improving... And as an added bonus: I have hay fever right now so I'm sneezing and sniffling - fun times! That aside, I've finally got around to watching the first episode! It was quite insightful and entertaining, particular the observations made about how third-party customizers devalued the Deadpool minifig. But it demonstrates what happens when the LEGO Group fails to meet consumer demands - someone else will.. and profit!
  10. Aye, that one is definitely a keeper!
  11. Nice list! What was so funny about the maxifigure?
  12. I'm not sure what you mean? Please provide a list of the funniest April Fools Day jokes you've witnessed this year...
  13. Just like how Pirates of Barracuda Bay was announced on this day 2 years ago...
  14. Fantastic! This is deserving of the Eurobricks frontpage - in a few days, since Pirates is currently stealing the spotlight there.
  15. A while back we did have an aspiring young chap named @Captain Zuloo who was talented at this kind of thing. Don't think he visits Eurobricks anymore but maybe if you chased him up, he'd fine some time.
  16. This looks AWESOME! But I've only enough time to watch the animated intro. Now if I only had a spare hour to watch the entire thing before my long voyage...
  17. But I am! Too bad the distance between us is so vast.
  18. Since they were only released in Northern America that's quite rare to have to one in MISB condition!
  19. But we sure are loving the finished result!
  20. Took a screenshot of the image on Flickr and pasted it in. Although, I probably have a significantly larger limit on the size of images I can post than the average Eurobricks member.
  21. Yes, why not? This is quite a slow build! But good to know you're still going - here's an image from Flickr:
  22. Nope! No maximum. You keep getting more gold for every 100 words.
  23. You sir are an asset to the LEGO Pirates fanbase! Now, if only you could tour the world exhibiting and educating people with this display.
  24. You're most welcome! And if any bloggers want to take a stab at turning this display into a blog post, go right ahead @JintaiZ, @Jack Sassy and @Marooned Marin.
