And what a display this is!
Worthy of the Eurobricks frontpage although I'll just reorder the images slightly so the image most suited for the frontpage appears first.
It's coming along nicely!
Looks like it's doing the job so far! But it's all in the painting details that will determine the effectiveness.
You've captured that Caribbean look quite well!
Thank you for the comprehensive summary!
But how long are the required parts in production? Well that depends on the part, Mister Phes!
During 2001-2002 when the pirate sets were re-released, the newest, Red Beard Runner and Armada Flagship at 5 years, while the oldest was Black Seas Barracuda at 12 years.
Makes sense!
As a matter of housekeeping, how about we merge all these North Star topics together?
Individually, they don't seem to be attracting a large enough response for a new topic for each update, but if we had a single Work In Progress topic covering the entire build, that would keep the build progress in one convenient place.
Apparently the sets old sets they reissued back in the early 2000's didn't sell that great prompting them to not reissue any more in the future.
But perhaps the situation is different now, given almost two decades has past and the cost of these older sets is significantly higher on the secondary market, than it was back then.
This is definitely worth creating a new topic for... otherwise it will be difficult to find these posts in the future when they're buried deep in the topic by other posts.
Welcome back, Greg! That's a nice little creation of Peggy you've built there.
Fully accessorised and you've included minifigs - even though this is technically a microscale built.
Nice work!
