  1. Have you thought of a name for this Mr Mrts?
  2. I'll do a version with the 45 degree slopes later when I have some free time - since technically the 35 degree slope is your version Mr ZCerberus X-D
  3. Awesome! Where can I buy a function life size one of these? This thing looks like it could drive over traffic, which would be good for me because traffic always gets in my way when I try to drive which is why I don't drive anymore. Its too infuriating I tell you.
  4. How did this poor fellow end up in this predicament?
  5. Did you take pictures of this tragic devastation - or was it too disturbing to do so? :'-(
  6. You should post your version, just like Phred posted his version as its interesting to see other's interpretation.
  7. Actually my LEGO parts collection IS and ISN'T limited. It ISN'T limited because I've got 1000's of pieces, most of them specialised I.e. Castle walls, palm tree components, etc. But it IS limited because I don't have many generic pieces in colours other than white and yellow I.e. 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 or 1 x 6 bricks or red slopes. But enough about me... Lets focus on Sandra's MOC... So I'll begin with a quick synopsis... I think its beautifully designed, the colours work harmoniously together and are very appropriate for what LEGO is depicting. The architecture is superb as everything seems to be built really well and I don't think I could recommend any design improvements at this stage, although my MOCing abilities are quite limited at this stage so maybe that assessment would be different had I better skills. The little details are charming like the tub full of carrots and pumpkins, the well, the flowers on the lily pads, the mini-figures eating at the table and the crates of bread and vegetables - although I'm not sure if orange is a suitable colour for a Medieval MOC so perhaps brown crate would be more to my liking. But there's just one thing... When I look at this MOC I don't get the "sense" of a market taking place, even despite the little touches I just mentioned. It seems too sparse like there's not enough activity for it to be a market. I think it needs more "hussle and bussle" but not so much that it becomes overcrowded and busy. So there's my opinion...
  8. I think I like the first version better myself, however, I'm going to do a version using plates after I get some more feedback on the slopes. And does anyone know how to add the Imperial Guard flag to the MCLAD Library?
  9. Aaaaaaargh the bleedin buzzards! You're right Mr Bonaparte! And its been fixed in my original post and in your reply post. You're on the ball! Its a wonder you're not a Moderator around here :-D Anyway, are you going to post your version of the Sentry Box?
  10. Are you going to add sails to these masts? If so, will they be custom made?
  11. As far as I'm aware they're not as collectable as boxes. In the case of the 6257 Castaway's Raft & 6260 Shipwreck Island, I doubt the final price would have been any higher if ALL the LEGO pieces had been included. I think these prices are just the result of foolish eBayers.
  12. I didn't include the grey plate out of necessity, I included it because it is part of the aesthetic of Imperial Guard sets. For example: the red sloped in the Imperial Trading Post has a grey plate beneath it, but its not really required. But here's what it looks like without the grey plate: I think I prefer having the grey plate though because it creates some separation between the roof and the base. So here's what that looks like: So which roof looks better? Or should I do a third version that's half way between the first version and third version, I.e. Only having the slopes on the left and right sides while the front and back are flat? Hmmm... What to do about the flag - does it look right where it is?
  13. So maybe I'll keep the poll running for an extra week since PirateBricks.com has a strong lead.
  14. I followed the tutorial and now I can do sub models! So head over to the Imperial Sentry Box thread and checkout the end result.
  15. The price for these boxes isn't that high at the moment : AU $6.00 / 3.59
  16. I assume this dealer didn't have a gaming license and you weren't playing this at the casino - nor was I when I played it. But checkout the Blackjack Wikipedia article. which clearly states that Ace can be 11 or 1.
  17. I don't really like card games but I have played both within the past 6 weeks and I can tell you Ace can be eleven OR one in Black Jack.
  18. Would you attempt to modify a hull to make it float, Mister Phred?
  19. Boxes are collectors items of course and they are probably rarer than the sets themselves because not everyone keeps boxes.
  20. Well look at all those red roof pieces - just what I need for my latest MOC!
  21. I've also added a link to this tutorial on the Tutorials Page of the Pirate LEGO Portal.
  22. You should post a link to your MLCAD Sub-Model Tutorial Mr ZCerberus as ChrisF2006 may find it very useful should he decide to begin using MLCAD.
  23. Which you can use to create fine creations like this... That's my first ever MLCAD design.
  24. This is proving to be quite a popular design so I shall definitely have to make building instructions. I haven't actually experienced my own creation in plastic yet, (well that version) so how do you think it turned out Mr Phred? Did you omit the grey plate like Mr ZCerebus suggested or did you substitute it with a black plate? I can't quite tell.
  25. What a simple and nifty cannon! But I think it would be look better on regular round brown pieces than the barrels. A terrible accident may occur if those barrels were full of gun powder! :-D
