  1. Some people just getting into the Pirate theme will not be familiar will all the set names, let alone their abbreviations. 1) Phred's question was valid very relevant. As mentioned not everybody will know what CC or BSB means so asking if there is a glossary is a very on topic question. 2) The Administrators and Moderators decide when a thread has gone off topic, not the users. We will create a new thread if we feel the need, but 2 posts hardly warrants that. As for your story Mr Cole, is there any particular reason you haven't put a space after your periods? For example (look closely I've marked them in red): They both retreated. The Pirate's held the Isle for 4 weeks before being chased out during this time, the BSB was raised, the Pirate's found rich's in the sunken Isle, and they celabrated there victory. As the Pirate's left the Isle, they were chased by the Brittish for 40 days and 40 night's.Just Kidding! However it seemed like this. The Razor was nearly sunk, the crew on the BSB Complaind of everything was soggy. The Consa's hold broke lose because of termite's, taking a day to repair the Consu and four to retrieve the treasure. However, one man did not complain. This was Captain Phaunsaus.
  2. Your penal colony? I wasn't aware the Beligans had one down south...
  3. There is (or was) a glossary of terms in the Community Forum but I have no idea where it is now. That glossary whoever only contained terms relating the message boards and LEGO generally. There is no current Pirate LEGO glossary, but there are some Pirate terms defined in a thread in the Great Library.
  4. Did your Rock Island Refuge come with a box Mr Phred? I've noticed when Rock Island Refuge was originally released (say that really fast 10 times X-D ) it came in a "LEGO Land" style box with the yellow border, but the later releases came in the "SYSTEM" style box with the purple border. I wonder if the introduction of the "SYSTEM" moniker was when The LEGO Group introduced non shooting cannons into the USA.
  5. But what about in the mean time Mr Willems, shall you go ahead and purchase one from eBay? Or shall you wait for that glorious day when you're somewhere in Germany or in the Belgian Countryside, and you stumble across it in the back of a dusty old toy store? Dammit... Why can't that ever be a reality for me! I'm going to have to go to Europe!
  6. I suggest I agree with you. There's already plenty there now and we I must think toward the future because no doubt there will be more added for certain features which are yet to be implemented.
  7. I happen to have those episodes... Now all all I need to do is get around to watching them. Thank you Mr Bonaparte!
  8. I thought "bakeri" might be Nowegian for "bakery" since its not really that much of a stretch from the English spelling. So the lattice windows aren't available in MLCAD? Apparently Mr RTN LNA knows where there are libraries of pieces for MLCAD but for some reason he doesn't want to reveal the source. Maybe if you PMed him and asked him nicely he may be less secretive.
  9. I'll be on the look out for that sigfig! Excellent work Mr Bonaparte. Mr Fleskes seems to be an all round MOCer so it would be good to have him on board!
  10. I was actually thinking about creating a "Resources" or "Reference" or "Research" page for Historic References. Would that be worthwhile?
  11. Is this the bakery? I notice the the file name is "bakeri" so that's what made me think it was bakery. Anyway... These doors and window frames look very modern, so wouldn't you be better off using brown wooden doors, lattice and shutters to give the buildings a more "hstoric appearance? Right now, this building looks like it could easily be from the Town theme, it needs "colonialisation" to give it the right character! Try pieces like these...
  12. Hmmmm... Interesting story... I noticed you've used abbreviations for Black Seas Barracuda and Carribean Clipper. I'm not sure that's such a good idea because someone new to Pirate LEGO wouldn't know what you were referring to. But if this is only intended for existing Pirate fans it shouldn't matter so much - but why limit your audience to a select group?
  13. Why don't we get the Apprentice Index Builder's (Phred) opinion, see he made the Cannon MOC Index. I don't think I'll use the Cannon MOC Index for building purposes, rather I'd just browse it to look at the MOCs. There's always the possibility we could put a link in both areas just so long as its not confusing.
  14. An independent forum is being considered for the future, however we are unsure of the best way to proceed. Unless we start from scratch we'll need to transfer everything to the new domain which will be time consuming and complicated. It won't be as simple as transferring the files, it will probably involve some downtime so we'll need to have little on our schedules to ensure that's as minimil as possible. In the meantime we will continue developing the Portal Website and establish Classic-Pirates.com within the AFOL community. I'll get the Master Index Builder's opinion on that one. I'm not fussed where its located just so long as everyone agrees its the most convenient place.
  15. If I didn't want members input then I wouldn't have mentioned it in this thread ;-) Honestly I'd have trouble choosing the 5, so help will be required - but that won't be for a couple of weeks.
  16. Maybe he's referring to the MOC Index page on the Classs-Pirates.com. In addition to the links to your indexes Mr Bonaparte, we'll choose the 5 most stunning Pirate MOCs for each category and put their thumbnails on that page.
  17. We probably won't have a competition for a while but what kind of "articles" would you like Mr Baixinho? We shall definitely be addressing the way MOCs are listed in the near future.
  18. It already has a search engine... Just click the "search" link in the left navigation.
  19. Hmmmmmmmm.... Tough descision.... Star Trek and Star Wars do have one thing in common (besides the SciFi genre) - the releases got worse as time progressed X-D
  20. We might as well start a new thread for this topic so I've moved Mr ImperialScout's post here. Yes! The Pirate LEGO Portal Website has been launched!!! Visit Classic-Pirates.com today! And now I ask you these questions 3: 1) What content would you like to see on the website? 2) What features would you like to have this website to have? 3) What would get you visiting this website on a regular basis? This website is for Pirate LEGO fans, so tell us what you'd like! We cannot guarentee we can implement everything but we'll do our best.

  22. The greater forces at work have changed your vote Mr Bonaparte! So does anybody besides me actually OWN this set?
