  1. You're certainly not skimping on the details Mr Bonaparte, but you still haven't told me how many mini-figures you've got here!
  2. According to the description the item is "New With Tags" so therefore the buyer should expect it to be unworn. If the item was "diseased" that would be a breach of eBay selling policy which could lead to the seller being prosecuted.
  3. For little old me who knows very little about Mecha this looks awesome! It reminds of the robots I used to watch every Saturday morning on Robotech back in the early 80's. Of course in reality it looks nothing like them but 25 years is long enough to distort a memory. X-D
  4. The master vignette builder branches out into a new field! I've just dropped a couple of comments and a question on your Pirate miniland figure. I must say this Pharaoh is quite good, and as much as I love the Pirates I think the Pharaoh is slightly better, but that's not to imply there's anything wrong with the Pirate. Am I correct in assuming the Pharoah was built after the Pirate?
  5. The talented Athos making a Pirate MOC is enough to make an entire week! X-D He's even got a parrot! The pirate that is - not Athos. What inspired you to make a Piratical creation?
  6. All of a sudden this whitecoat army reminds me of the Hump de Bump music video...
  7. Yes, the contest is open for entries just like the thread states. I've revised the post just in case it wasn't clear enough...
  8. The competition has begun and the is thread open, so submit your entries!!! The thread will close again on 22nd of April and judging will commence
  9. The problem with a world map is it would be too big to update manually. The area needs to be a limited size otherwise its going to be a headache, the map that Dreamweb scanned months ago might be ideal for this purpose. Each users "plot" would be represented by an icon or generic graphic depending on their current status. This way it could be easily exchanged when they advance to the next rank, thus minimising the manual labour. Yes, it would be awesome if users could claim sea zones and wage war online but that's just too complex to be done manually, well at least for me. Of course, if you're a programmer who can confidently design an automated system incoporating these features into a world map then disregard everything I've mentioned about limitations X-D Good luck with your thesis!
  10. How have you got your light box set up? I may need to create one myself but I don't really know much about them.
  11. What's that flag with the red shield on it? Or what/who does it represent?
  12. Yes, just a tad and that would increase the length of the blade slightly. A "balanced" sword gives better performance apparently. Would it be easy to shorten the handle?
  13. I'm wondering if you have any of these reference photos or pictures you drew scanned. It would be interesting to see what inspired you.
  14. What kind of accessories do you have in mind for the interior, Mr Bonaparte?
  15. In the beginning it would be only me, but I may be able to set it up so others can make updates. The average user wouldn't be able to otherwise I'd have to give everyone access rights to that part of the website and not everyone is competent in web design so that could be diasterous. The other option is for someone to develop a web interface but I don't have those skills and anyone who does probably wouldn't have the time to go ahead with it.
  16. Ok, I'm too lazy to count them all myself, so how many Imperial mini-figures are there?
  17. I recommend you read the IMPORTANT! Methods of obtaining Pirate LEGO thread as that contains several ideas of where you might obtain Pirate LEGO.
  18. Yes, I've contacted the seller and he said the postage with insurance would be 10 euro. As he accepts PayPal I'd have no problem transfering the money to him. But thanks for the offer Holodoc!
  19. I suppose when people browse threads they're more captured when they can see an image at the top. After all the old saying goes "A picture is worth 1000 words) so its more likely to draw someone in, but if they only see text they move along. We also have a Batch Image Resize Tutorial to show you how to resize multiple images at once - if you don't already know how.
  20. I've been keeping up with the latest news/rumours for Indy IV and Sir Connery stated that he may consider reprising the role of Henry Jones Senior if the script is good enough, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Shia LaBeouf has definitely been cast for Indiana Jones IV. Its even announced on the official Indiana Jones website so its definitely not a rumour.
  21. No, don't resize it for me, resize it for those who lack the initiative to follow text links. Its just a recommendation because threads with a picture in the first post tend to get more responses than the ones that don't. If its a burden I shall not mention it again, but we do have two very capable Moderators to take care of things like that ;-)
  22. Maybe I'm nitpicking here but I think the Captain looks like he's standing in the shade. Unless there's something blocking the light hitting him he should be a little brighter. Not that I would say its an issue, or even needs to be changed, I just thought I'd mention it.
  23. Now we an actual website we have more flexibity. I thought for an interesting feature we could have personal indexes which would include fleets, bases, whatever someone has created. But to make it more interesting I was thinking about creating a map and each user would pick a site to start a settlement. So in the beginning everyone starts off with a "plot" and as they added to their index the title of their settlement would get upgraded, so next would come "Camp" (I.e. SkaForHire's Camp), then Shanty, right upto "Mansion". (I've lifted this idea out Tropico 2) However, keeping it updated would have to be done manually and we'd need to develop a fair system for what contribution constituted to how far they upgraded. For those who didn't want to participate in the map we would still have a textual list of all the personal indexes.
  24. I meant he'd be 106 in December this year, not that he currently is 106 (assuming that he was alvie of course). That aside I've already removed any Walt Disney references in the competition documentation. I did that as soon as you pointed out the error yesterday.
  25. Yeah, the seller only posts to the European Union however I'm interested in buying one. Where's all the European lads when ya need em?
