One day the LEGO Group decides to release a NEW sub-theme for Pirates but they decide to take feedback and ideas from pirate fans. So your mission is to specify a nationality/faction for the new sub-theme! For example: You may want to introduce the Dutch into the LEGO Caribbean or you might want to send Governor Broadside's men on mission to retreive cursed Aztec gold. If you're feel creative describe the sets in the sub-theme (this is optional). A typical Pirate sub-theme has a ship, large base, medium base, small base, a boat and a small island - but feel you don't have to be limited to that! Also come up with names for the key mini-figures like the leader but no need to name every single character. Rules Only choose one sub-theme to begin with. Second and thirds can be saved for later. It can't be adding to an existing sub-theme! But there can be mini-figure crossover. It can't be random sets as they all must work together as a sub-theme. Must be SYSTEM sub-theme. No Duplo or 4+ Now, get writing!

That's right! Like Mr Tiber said we already have a thread for that. So... Start taking pictures and posting!

Yes, some MCLAD designs would be great! But really, you should focus on getting ALL the Pirate sets now. X-D -
And your ships beat the crap out of my ships... X-D
-
Yes, pictures of your pirate collection would be freakin marvellous!!!
-
We'd prefer it if you made yourself known within the forum before advertising the sets you want to sell. That takes weeks or even months. But lets face it... Nobody at Eurobricks can afford these anyway!

How much do you have to spend on Pirate LEGO anyway? -
T'would be good if you could find out. I'd be very interested to know if there were more comics than just the one.

I suggested it taking your budget into consideration. If you had more to spend then I recommend Rock Island Refuge. -
Are you sure you're not confusing the comics with the Ladybird Book series?
-
What do you mean comics? There was only one comic - unless there's something I don't know about.

If you don't want to go completely Blue Coat then perhaps you could get a pirate set so your soliders have something to do. You probably can't afford anything huuude so how about Forbidden Island? -

Greetings SDpirate! If you're looking build a nice Soldier (blue coat) collection you're going the right way about it. But there's still two more set I'd recommend you get... Broadside's Brig and Lagoon Lockup. Lagoon Lockup seems to be a favourite so if you have limited finances maybe get that instead of Sabre Island. -
Yes, look at the ships Redbeard got... Black Seas Barracuda... Skulls Eye Schooner... Red Beard Runner... Captain Ironhook gets... Rengade Runner and a Raft Raiders... He didn't even get a proper hideout...
-
Broadside coming in a close first with the others not far behind - exceot poor old Captain Ironhook who is to receive a vote!

Blue and Red soldiers, Black Tricorns etc. wanted

Some of us have quite large armies. I don't even know how big mine is... -
That wasn't there yesterday when I checked! :-P Exactly what I thought! The great seals are what makes it so expensive!
-
Go look for yourself then... And I shall reiterate that we're talking a bout MISB condition Skulls Eye Schoooner, so BIIIIIIIG difference in price between to one that's been used. I find it hard to believe such an item would sell for less than US$200 because a 10400 Black Seas Barracuda these days averages that much and it's only a 2002 re-release. But if you really acquired a MISB Skulls Eye Schooner for EUR 80 Mr Tiber, do you let us know where and when this was...

A strong leader is a necessity to lead the men into victory so which of the following Pirate Theme leaders do you think does it best? Vote now and tell us your reasons! Captain Roger/Redbeard Captain Ironhook Governor Broadside Admiral Woodhouse King Kahuka Captain Brickbeard The Governor

It got $330 but still didn't meet the reserve. Where'd you get that idea from? -

You must devise a stategy and infiltrate their board at once! They must all surrender into becoming LEGO builders! *skull* -
After watching the trailer I'd say the animation is a lot more detailed than Sid Meier's Pirates! because there's a lot more angles and interesting shots... But... That begs the question to whether these angles and shots are part of the gameplay or whether they're prepared just for the trailer.

Don't get your hopes up Mr DerStein for this year marks the 10th year without any new SYSTEM Pirate sets. But if there were new Pirate sets would you buy them?
