Well you're very safe from seeing the quality of the old pirates set ever again X-D. But if you're willing to settle for the qaulity of Vikings and the new Castle then you may consider piratical means to accumulate extra funds. Maybe you can still build Pirate MOCs in MLCAD - there's no law you have to physically build everything you design in ML CAD, or is there?

Classic Pirates needs to infiltrate as many websites as possible! *y* If you had let us know about the NWBrickCon earlier we could have featured it more in the forum and the bulletins/newsletters that get sent out. That way the awareness level of Piratical prescence at NWBrickCon could have increased.

If you're going for historic accuracy then I understand why it needs to be flat. On the other hand if you want an impressive looking MOC then perhaps build a tower. Since you're working in MCLAD it's quite easy to make two different versions. Just save the files as "version a" and "version b" so you can keep them both!

It's looking good Mister Tordenskjold! Though it does look a bit "flat" - it needs a tower or something to give it a bit of a lift.

So Mr SkaForHire, if there were new Pirate sets unexpectedly released (let us dream!) within the next few months how would that effect your expenditure on Castle?

You could built turrets in each of the four corners and upon each turret you could have a cannon on a swivel base. Then in the very centre you could have a command post with some cannons on top of that! T'would be a very fortified fortress then.

That's a good idea because unless you have a reason for contacting this administrator there's not much point. I'd presume the members of that Yahoo Group are aware of this forum given Mr Oo7 is a Eurobricks member and I suspect a couple of the others are too.

Does anyone know who this admin is and were you still going to contact this person Mr ImperialScouts? But why would you want to contact them anyway - they're obviously well aware of the Pirate Forum here.

Most of the MOCs in that Yahoo Group have been posted here anyway so there's not a great deal we could plunder.

And that's what I mean by "proper website" I.e. Classic-Pirates.com (a proper website) versus a Yahoo Newsgroup.

And what do you think I should say to him? "HIIIIIIIII!!! We have something in common, except I have a proper website and you don't :-P "
