    What scale is this MOC going to be? Or how big are you intending to make it?

    I don't use decals myself BUT... Certain mini-figures (such as Imperial Armada, the merchant and the Spanish Pirate with the purple vest) are rare and therefore expensive. So if you wanted to build a vast Imperial Armada army then it would be much cheaper to use decals on green and red torsos.

    A tiny vig is still too much. I gave myself an hour and managed to achieve nothing. To use real LEGO it would take me half an hour to get out and half an to pack it up again. I've got one and a half weeks till my university submission so all my creative resources must be devoted to that. If this competition ended 9 days later then I would be able to find the time... But if a brilliant idea strikes within the next couple of days then there might be hope.

    Well this is bloomin magnificent! I like the "earthly" colour scheme with the right balance of brown, green and grey. There's some quite nice details here like the mine cart and the furnace, but I suppose the mine cart doesn't really count since it's straight from 7036.

    Turns out I suck at MLCAD. I spent an hour trying to design something and didn't get very far so I really can't afford the time to design anything decent with it.

    By all means show us Work In Progress pictures so we can give you helpful feedback. There's no rule you have to show finished or even half decent MOCs.
