  1. I too have been pondering a fishing boat set for a Dutch sub-theme. It would be the equivalent of Harbor Sentry or Admiral's Launch. I imagined a boat with a mast and on the very top would be a crane for raising and lowering a fishing net. The set would also include a Dutch mini-figure and there would be new fish pieces with a basket to put them in and maybe a larger fish like a Marlin (rather than a shark). Some sea gulls might also be an interesting touch but maybe that would be too much. Here are some pieces I had in mind. The marlin!
  2. It appears that previous post is missing a "not" somewhere.
  3. UniqueBuilder is correct. If you want to find something like a review then check the index threads.
  4. Strangely enough I don't think I've ever posted whilst drunk. I'm usually near a computer whilst undergoing the refreshment process.
  5. Tumblehome is a very strange word - isn't it? Captain Greenhair, if you wanted to turn this thread into tutorial you could quite easily do so by providing captions beneath the images to explain what the depict.
  6. And if Mr TalonCard should continue to write these articles I think some kind of reward or promotion is in order for him. That extends to anyone who regularly contributes to the Pirate Forum or Classic-Pirates.com.
  7. Is this a substantiated fact or are you being overly optimistic? I haven't seen MR. TalonCard round there parts for a few weeks now...
  8. Is Mr TalonCard aware that his next article is in such demand?
  9. What a wonderful tutorial! Someone should frontpage this X-D You know this from experience I take it? Can't for the life of me think why you'd bold Playboy Mansions and not the now defunction Space Sation Mir.
  10. Don't try it at work, school, library, Internet Cafe, swimming pool, Playboy Mansions or the now defunction Space Sation Mir either. It's a very bad thing to do on a forum.
  11. And to yell on a forum you TYPE IN CAPITALS LIKE THIS AND AFTER A WHILE IT GETS REALLY ANNOYING. BUT IF THAT DOESN'T GET THE DESIRED RESULTS THEN YOU CAN START USING BOLD BOLD IS SURE TO INCREASE THE NOTICABILITY OF YOUR POSTS, HOWEVER SHOULD THIS FAIL THEN YOU COULD CONSIDER A LOUD COLOR SUCH AS RED. RED IS VERY ATTENTION GRABBING BUT OCCASSIONALLY YOU WILL ENCOUNTER SOMEONE WHO IS COLOUR BLIND SO THE SOLUTION TO THIS IS TO INCREASE THE FONT SIZE OF COURSE THE DOWNSIDE TO USING THESE METHODS IS YOU'LL LIKELY BE BANNED SO I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY USER AT ANY TIME Thank you and good night
  12. The way to join a discussion is to get really drunk and shout over everyone else and fall over and pass out... :-X
  13. A merchants sub-theme would be great! Or a settlers/colonist sub-theme! A sub-theme that's not pirates or military. If it wasn't 2:30AM I will divulge in my ideas further, however I shall refrain for another time. Do you have ideas for Dutch Merchant sets Mr. Tiber? Ahhhh... Lets not forget there is already an Imperial Armada sub-theme which depicts the Spanish so perhaps a Galleon would make a nice addition to that. I'd put focus the of an Aztec sub-theme solely on the Aztec themselves. However I would include Imperial Armada mini-figures peripherially in some of the sets - the same way as some Islander sets included a couple pirate mini-figures. Once again I will will divulge in my ideas further when it is not so early in the morning.
  14. I never said those problem were solvable by you, I said you've got make the solution readily available if you expect people to play the game. Anyway... I'm being blunt so I'm probably coming across a bit harsh, but that's life X-D You must have put a lot of work into creating Wake of Destiny, approximately how many hours do you think you spent on it?
  15. I've renamed the thread title so it clearly indicates the content of the thread Any word back from him yet?
  16. Another point I'll make to Mr Koon... You can't expect the users from this forum to go searching for the answer or a solution on your forum. If you want to people to play your game then you've got to make installing and launching it as easy as possible. You've got to give the users the information they require on this forum and ideally that should be done in your very first post.
  17. Torque? Never heard of it... Most of us folk here are oblivious to how games are made.
  18. As a game developer your aim is to ensure the game functions correctly on as many system as possible. So it could go either way, but it's not really worth debating that. The real problem is the fact you didn't make it clear this is a beta version and there may still be critical errors. Yes, you mentioned the game was in beta in the thread description but that's probably not sufficent. A warning something like this would have been helpful - NOTE: This is a beta release for testing purposes and problems may be encountered. That would have covered your big behind nicely X-D
  19. Wake of Destiny is off to a bad start! While the Pirate Forum is happy to support the endeavours of other Pirate LEGO enthusiasts it's prudent to ensure what's on offer is going to work on a variety of computers and configurations. At least stating the recommended system specifications would be a good start. Wake of Destiny works on my computer however.
  20. If you're going to advertise a website then it's a really really good idea to test the link to make sure it works...
  21. Awwwwwww! Those MOC cannons are so cute. You're doing a good job Phred!
  22. Good luck getting anything MISB - such sets are only going to get more expensive.
  23. Ahhhhhhhh Captain. K no sooner had I thought you'd went away you came back the very same day!
  24. Does anyone know how to contact Jcasterman? This MOC is worthy of frontpaging on Classic-Pirates.com!
  25. It appears Captain. K has gone away and it might be some time before he gives us an update. I suppose we could always PM him if we're really curious.
