  1. The program is called Adobe Illustrator. There's not really anything to tutorial. Load image in Illustrator, press "Live Trace" button. The end. Really it would be easier if the flags were designed in Illustrator to begin with. Failing that someone with Illustrator could convert them and replace your images. I'd do it myself but my ever growing task list for the Pirate forum would prevent me from keeping up with every flag designed.
  2. Or another alternative is to load the image into Illustrator, hit the "Live Trace" button and WHAMMO!!! Problem taken care of...
  3. Ah yes, I see. Very jagged in a Windows 3.1 sense...
  4. Remind us what Aberbrick is Mr Radar... Or better still give us a link and give your MOC plug X-D
  5. And I thought you'd make a special trip just so you could take an image for this competition. How mistaken was I! X-D
  6. Which design will you use for the cannons and cannonades? One of the designs seen in this forum or one of your own?
  7. It's not a bad thing to vote Sabre Island 1 if someone feels that it's genuinely worth 1 but t'would be interesting to know why.
  8. How will the boundary of the flags print out? As there is no anti-aliasing will it be all jagged and chunky?
  9. Then you'll be heading back to South Africa within the next couple of days I take it. X-D My God! Could you use some manners? White isn't the best colour for the background given the amount of white used in the ship. It's a lot easier to isolate from the background if a highly contrasting colour is used.
  10. Ah yes... I've finally got around to looking at it. I take it all back and more. This is wonderful!
  11. The architecture this MOC is indeed brilliant however it seems the photography is lacking in some areas. The pictures provide decent aerial views of the MOC but are no close-up images to make the viewer feel as though they are experiencing the MOC first hand. Close-up images of intricate details and points of interest would assist to invite the viewer inside the MOC rather than hovering around its outside. Here's as close as we get:
  12. This might be heading for the frontpage of a certain Classic-Pirates.com
  13. Could you elaborate a bit more on that? You can or you can't see?
  14. Why thank you Lord of Pies! The heads don't look crappy head in the real life and I don't think they turned out too badly in the pictures. They are slightly different, particular the density of the beard on the Imperial Guard.
  15. These "jerks" Mr Cleese set the price so high because they don't want some scummy little destroying the seal on such a rare item. These sellers realise that only true collectors will fork out those amount and can be assured the new owner will perverse the set well into the future. So they are quite happy to hold onto the set for as long as it takes to find someone who will pay that price. Many people may not be able to understand why anyone would do this but it's all for a good reason.
  16. At long last we have Rigging Tutorial from Captain Green Hair *y* I shall have to update the Tutorials Page on Classic-Pirates.com soon.
  17. A picture in the first post would be great!
  18. It certainly puts 4939 to a very good use. The LEGO Group should immediately amend the box art to reflect this minimoc Clipper.
  19. Ok... First of all... Is that thing on his head a microphone windsock?
  20. Never underestimate the power of the Imperial Guards. Fight back soldiers! FIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT BAAAAACK!!!
  21. You have been dubbed the BBQ King!!! Errr... Why BBQ King anyway?
  22. You send me the sets and I'll review them!
  23. That's what I was thinking when I first saw this thread. Mr Radar can come and defend my fort any day X-D
  24. And that's why your thread is better :-D The Imperial Flagship is giving the Caribbean Clipper a flogging!
  25. It does make a lovely curtain! You can admit to owning 4+ sets - it's ok X-D
