  1. Benk's ship looks a lot more suited to the setting of Pirates. I just can't abide a steam ship with a wheel - it's far too modern for my liking.
  2. It's happened again! Different pair of contests but still a longterm user and a new kind on the block. Let's see who wins!
  3. The final scores are: Agent Rick 57........[ 0 ] ** [0.00%] Audi TW..............[ 2 ] ** [2.47%] Benk.................[ 17 ] ** [20.99%] Bonaparte............[ 17 ] ** [20.99%] Captain Ka-boom......[ 1 ] ** [1.23%] CVSPIS CELIDVS.......[ 9 ] ** [11.11%] Fat Tony.............[ 10 ] ** [12.35%] Captain Green Hair...[ 2 ] ** [2.47%] Hinky................[ 2 ] ** [2.47%] Matn.................[ 0 ] ** [0.00%] Pietje...............[ 7 ] ** [8.64%] Piranha..............[ 2 ] ** [2.47%] Radar92..............[ 0 ] ** [0.00%] Slyowl...............[ 4 ] ** [4.94%] TinypiesRus..........[ 3 ] ** [3.70%] Phred................[ 5 ] ** [6.17%] No further votes will be accepted
  4. It would be terribly amusing if this competition was also a draw...
  5. We must be at fever pitch by now!!! Exactly what does that mean anyway? :-/
  6. Well that's if you want an army with a troop to commander ratio of almost 1:1 X-D
  7. It would probably be very useful to include this kind of information in the Sails Library.
  8. Benk and Bonaparte sure have quite a lead there, but Benk is edging in there by just nose! Phes becomes a commentator
  9. Go on... Do it then X-D
  10. There's no denying this fellow has some talent. Apparently he's going sign up here and have a discussion with us. I'm looking forward to that!
  11. Actually I've seen this image somewhere before... X-D
  12. Ooooooo! Oooooooo! I just cast my vote!
  13. I have all those Sin Bad movies on DVD. I'm quite the fan of old HarryHausen and I collect his movies should I find one that isn't too expensive on eBay.
  14. Only one day left and I still haven't finalised my decision.... Hmmmm... Better get thinking...
  15. Maybe we have another Harryhausen in the making here...
  16. Ah, but they're not firing cannons X-D
  17. Yes, this is exactly what I've said in the past - LEGO has lost it's magic. :'-(
  18. Where did people in the highlands get bearskins from? Bears aren't indigenous to that region are they?
  19. I suppose compared to sets released within the past 5 years the design isn't too bad. But back in the good old days when design actually matter in LEGO sets it might not have been up to standard. Do you own this set Mazin?
  20. I've noticed the prices have increased quite a bit over the past 3 years. Still, if you're diligent enough you can get some good deals.
  21. I've always wondered if 1788 was a set that never made it to the Islanders theme in 1994. Instead it was released in 1995 as special promotional set in Northern America. It doesn't look much in the picture but in real life it looks alright, so I was wondering if the LEGO Group was thinking "We can't make it look in the box art so how are we going to distribute it?" So they shelved it and came back a year later with the Treasure Chest box concept as a diversion from the set's photogenic unattractiveness. Well that's one of my theories anyway. X-D
  22. That ship looks like it's progressing very well, but what's with the shells underneath the table? Are they part of the table or something? *Mr Phes goes off in a non MOC tangent...*
  23. How's it going there Dreamweb?
  24. Thank you Mr ImperialScouts! If you can, send me his Email address so I can inform him of what Classic-Pirates.com can offer him.
  25. This was quite entertaining and amusing! Titles still a bit hard to read though and a tripod would definitely help stability of the camera. Someone get a poster image for the first post...
