  1. Greetings Captain Pegleg Blockbeard! I can't help but notice most of your links lead to pictures of ships which aren't genuine LEGO. We do already have a Fleet Listing thread which I think has the same purpose as the thread you're proposing.
  2. Lets open it! Is it still sealed though?
  3. I've seen a MISB Skulls Eye Schooner sell for over US$500 recently on eBay, so these sets are becoming an investment. If you really wanted to build a MISB Skulls Eye Schooner, you would probably be better off selling it and buying two or two MIB copies instead. I got mine MIB and it still smelt new but for a third of price.
  4. I'm trying to find a picture of that shot but to no avail. Actually, it may have been the season 3 or 4 finale because I remember seeing it back in 95 or 96. AAAARGH!!! I can't really remember.
  5. What about "Pirates!" from 1986 starring Walter Walter Matthau:
  6. Yeah, that's what I was saying. I probably should have done some research first X-D The Francis Marion Wikipedia article says: Francis Marion (February 26, 1732
  7. The "H" can stand for "Hornblower" X-D I always thought the Indian mini-figures from the Western theme could be used for different faces and possible torsos if one wanted to create figures for a Aztec/Incan/Mayan/Olmec MOC.
  8. Errr... We don't know the creator of this MOCETTE... I found it on Brickshelf a few weeks and no information about the builder has come our way... yet...
  9. Hmmm... Ya know I think Captain Zuloo has a point here. I knew there was something that looked Vikingish about this MOC but I couldn't put my finger on it till just now.
  10. Without the box the original set is no different to the re-release. So if you open it and trash the box both the original and re-release are worth the same, so long as the pieces are in similar condition.
  11. I'd say the vegetation is much more suited to a Pirate MOC than a castle MOC. This is a fortress after all and there were plenty of those in the Caribbean.
  12. This reminds of that season finale cliffhanger of the X-Files (either season 5 or 6) where this UFO is revealed beneath the sand as the tide comes in.
  13. I should have grabbed a copy when it was first released on DVD years ago. Back then it was on eBay very cheaply so I could have picked one up without regretting spending money on it. Now, however is a different matter...
  14. Interestingly enough my previous question seems to have been ignored, so I'll just post it AGAIN! I'm not exactly sure of the relevance of this picture as it looks like random pieces scattered everywhere. And why are there UFOs? Are spaceships included amongst these wrecks?
  15. Of course building ships requires parts and if Mr Marion (you are male aren't you) doesn't have any pieces he won't get a lot of building done X-D
  16. Blithering buzzards have filtered out the image!!! Let's try again!
  17. ZCerberus has used the head of this mini-figure to great effect on his sig-fig.
  18. I find putting sets back in their box when not in use is a great way to store them. You're definitely right about that, but 99% of the time I would not open a MISB Pirate set. However, there are certain exceptions I make.
  19. Ya know it's probably not a good idea to quote two large images unless you really have to. I recommend delete the images and just quote the text. It appears this is one of those MOCs without any mini-figures. Sadly Pirates is being severely neglected at the moment so we need all the highlights we can get. How exciting! These MOCs are a wonderful way to break out recent drought, I hope this forum is inspiring Pirate MOCers to get motivated again!
  20. Thanks for the links! But there's another link I'm wondering about... The picture below is obviously a screenshot of a YouTube video - you wouldn't happen to have a link to the video it was captured from?

  22. This means more images have to be stored on the Eurobricks sever which takes more hosting space and more bandwidth. As Eurobricks is a FREE website we can only afford so much hosting space and bandwidth per month. We prefer users to host their images on external websites such as Brickshelf or MOCpages. While this may be more inconvenient (yes I realise how difficult it is to spend an extra 2 minutes uploading to another website and copying & pasting the links over) it cuts down on costs.
  23. Woody, is there a link to a website or thread on another forum where we can see the other contest entrants?
  24. What about that 1982 movie called "The Pirate Movie"? X-D I haven't actually seen it, but I've heard things about it...
