  1. That's great to know Batbrick! If there's any piratical matters we can help you out with then just let us know!
  2. Yes, you're absolutely right ImperialScouts. Now that my hangover has worn off I have cold and the medication must be doing strange things with my mind. Not that I need Cold & Flu medication for that anyway... This diagram is quite useful in demonstrating how one would actually achieve such a contraption:
  3. Any chance of providing some pictures of just the sheep and rifle? I think it would be interesting to have a closer look at them, particularly the sheep because I don't think there has been one posted in the Pirate Forum previously.
  4. Is that one of those BrickForge sheep?
  5. Oh yes very nice, but I have two questions: 1) How does one get to the top of the Tower of Protector if there's no ladder? 2) What does it protect?
  6. When I saw "Turtle Sub" I was expecting to see a salad roll This is quite an interesting concept for the Pirate Theme but I'm sure I've mentioned my disdain for Steampunk and it's sub genres. Has anyone seen the Mysterious Cities of Gold? There was an episode where they made a wooden submarine creation and decorated it as a monster to scare off a tribe of giants. Something like that might be a really interesting concept for the Islander of equivalent of this.
  7. Very well done indeed! Did the auction also include the soldiers or have you procured them on a separate occasion?
  8. I got a Red Beard Runner off eBay recently for A$110 which is about 67 €. It wasn't 100% complete and didn't have a box, but I think you should expect to pay around 65-75€ because there is still a reasonable demand for them. I can create a search to help you find one for a good price on eBay if you like.
  9. Ben, thank you for sharing your MOC with us! History fascinates me and I love to learn new aspects when possible! I'm not very familiar with redoubts so I'm curious to see the Fort Niagara Redoubts that you've linked in your first post, but unfortunately the links are broken. Could you please fix them for us? I suppose I could do a Google Image search but I might not find the pictures you intend to show us.
  10. Congratulations on making the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage! Just wondering... Is Appocolypta the mispelling of Apocalypto or did the movie have alternate spelling in different regions?
  11. Oh this is the happiest day of my life! I've always hoped those two would get married. OOPS!! I've misread the thread title!
  12. Which animation do the above picture originate from?
  13. It sure does look like it!
  14. You think that's expensive - then check out this Skulls Eye Schooner transformed into the Flying Dutchman... CLICK HERE to view the auction
  15. These lads look rather modern for a pirate port: How easily is it to obtain Pirate LEGO in Hong Kong?
  16. Is your bucket made from ABS plastic, Sinner?
  17. What a pity because right now there's a grey hull from the Flying Time Cruiser ship with no bids!
  18. I would presume so, but I'm not chemist so I'm not sure whether that's suitable for producing Butadiene. Someone who has more knowledge on this matter will need to comment.
  19. Interesting you should mention oil because LEGO is made from ABS plastic which stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Butadiene is a petroleum hydrocarbon obtained from butane - and what's the primary ingredient in petroleum - oil...
  20. I can now announce that the Mother Lode sold for... AU $791.67 Looks like this thread is no longer needed! It shall be merged in due time. Next join us in Who would like to own a Skulls Eye Schooner?
  21. Yes, you're right, BUT, Van Diemen isn't an English name either, it was an abbreviation of the Dutch name Anthoonij van Diemenslandt by the British. One could argue for hours that if the British changed the name then it is in fact a British name, so to cut the argument short lets says its an amalgam of Dutch and English. That aside, I was just being silly when I posted that statement, so it wasn't meant to be taken seriously hence the smiley.
  22. Oh the Dutch! They come up silly names like Tasmania, Van Diemen's Land, etc. Who would want to live in a place named by the Dutch... Really...
  23. Them oversized pictures need shrinking... It's taking all day to download them...
  24. There was a Cross Bone Clipper hull just recently. Gone now though. But hulls do quite frequently pass through there, it's just a matter of checking every day.
  25. You know how to resize them? We can fix you up with a Batch Image Resize Tutorial if need be.
