  1. Do you have any idea how old they are or where they might have originated from?
  2. Ahhh, I see, the pictures down the bottom can't have loaded when I last looked. Well, I'll give you the choice, I can move this back to the History & Adventure forum or leave it here and your can MOC benefit from the additional exposure of the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage and newsletter.
  3. Many thanks in return! When there's a lull in the news I'll even have a link to your blog frontpaged on Classic-Pirates.com.
  4. As Johnny Thunder and his cohorts aren't present I have seized this thread for the Pirate Forum. All should note the description of the Pirate Forum reads: Pirates, Soldiers, Guards, Islanders, Armada, Napoleonic Wars, Aztec, Maya, Inca and the Age of Sail
  5. I thought this mold change occurred in the late 90's around the time of the Divers theme.
  6. I've found another solider eBay Auction! Quite a large lot too... 32 Soldier eBay Auction
  7. What is the Imperial Guard commander holding a stop sign?
  8. Snakes are wonderful creatures - aren't they?
  9. I don't think Kinzcove needs to prove himself to us. We'll just kindly provide him with links and such, and if none of the Soldiers are purchased we'll know he's not genuine.
  10. I'm sure nobody means to insult you Kinzcove. But you did say you're ordering 1000 soldiers on Bricklink and that's not possible because like Imperial Shadows pointed out theres only 159 redcoats, and 288 bluecoats at the moment. But if you're serious, then here are some Soldier eBay auctions for you to win: eBay Auction 1 eBay Auction 2 That'll get you at least 26 more Soldiers if you win.
  11. Were you pleased with the result Blockbeard? Or would you have liked to have built something different?
  12. Fear not Daphne, the number of soldiers on Bricklink hasn't seemed to decline since Kinzcove purchased a 1000 of them. But if he really has $370,000 hey may want to consider invest $10,000 on a decent camera with the proper lenses for shooting miniatures and a decent lighting setup. If he doesn't have these already of course.
  13. What kind of video will this be? Will it be fiction or factual? Do you have script yet?
  14. Not meaning to pry, but how did you manage to accumulate 370,000 dollars to spend on Pirate LEGO? If you're genuine then I could definitely assist you with your quest to find soldiers. Of course, you could be playing with us in which cause we'd look rather foolish if helped you. I'd be quite surprised if there were 1,000 soldiers at one time of BrickLink. It was be rare if any one seller had more than 10, so you'd have to buy from many different sellers to get 1000.
  15. I've recently been in contact with the editor of The Pirate Shack blog. The blog has more to do with Pirates in general, but it has heaps of interesting information about pirate history and culture, festivals and other relevant eccentricities. So check it out!
  16. 1000 soldiers What are you going to do with that many? I suggest you scroll down and monitor the eBay auctions at the bottom of the forum - EVERY DAY!!!
  17. What happened to the mummies they were lurking about? Was it only Johnny Thunder who managed to resurrect them?
  18. Perhaps we should seriously consider moving to the UK so we can take advantage of all this cheap Pirate LEGO on eBay?
  19. 1 PENCE!!! I bet that didn't include postage! Pirate LEGO seems to sell ridiculously cheap in the UK - I've been watching the auctions below and I'm constantly thinking "that would see for so much more here"
  20. I'd say it's too unique to be a "remix", I think you could give away with calling it a "cover"
  21. So this is one of those online computer games where you've got to buy the software and then pay so much per month to play? I like the developer's marketing strategy! I must be sure to have ingenious ideas like that in the future.
  22. Why do you call this an "Imperial Trading Post Remix"? Apart from the dock it seems you've created something entirely new and therefore you should be giving more credit to your own design, rather than someone else's.
  23. More SlyOwl brilliance! I think this thread definitely needs a larger picture of the artwork in the first post.
  24. You are indeed right Legotrainfan, I was thinking that as I was hitting the send button, but then I remember the ship cost between the UK and here will prevent it from being a bargain.
  25. For a MISB set it certainly is! Too bad the seller only ships to the UK though, otherwise I'd be bidding...
