  1. This isn't recent news but I believe this exemplifies LEGO Digital Designer’s usefulness to Pirate LEGO enthusiasts. The above ship was created by 13 year old Neal McClatchey as his entry for the first LEGO Factory Design Competition. Yes that's right, a 13 year old designed this in LDD and won the competition! More information about that on LEGO.com. So it is very possible to use LEGO Digital Designer for piratical purposes, you've just got to use your initiative to overcome the lack of specific Pirate pieces. For more examples check out: Cpt. Pegleg Blockbeard's Imperial Trading Post Remix, Ship and Ship-Wrecked Island Captain Cavinano's Black Pearl Medib's Ship-wrecked Island Joey Lock's Fort Laurence and New HMS Unicorn
  2. How about we post the image in this thread for easy accessibility: Does anybody know if this comic is an official publication of the LEGO Group? If so, we may need to get permission to use them.
  3. It appears the YouTube video which this thread links to has been removed - anybody know where another copy might be hosted?
  4. You must be referring to this thread by Captain Roger (the user, not the mini-figure).
  5. This sounds interesting. When you say Indy comic do you mean a LEGO Indy comic or a normal Indy comic? I can remember that one of the normal Indy comics dealt with pirates. It appears this post is now obsolete!
  6. It certainly appears to be early days! Be sure to keep on teasing us to entice us into checking the thread regularly!
  7. Well this is quite an interesting creation and I particularly like the very varied use of mini-figure heads. I think I'll tag this MOC as frontpage material.
  8. Actually an official statement from the LEGO Group confirms a new Pirate line, whereas these pictures confirm nothing. What we see might just be prototypes which never go into production or maybe just really really good customs. So Sandy is right, we can't announce anything yet but we should still be monitoring these mini-figures very closely just in case...
  9. This must have been posted during my week of absence since it appears I've missed this. Created in LDD you say Captain Cavinano? How many pieces did you use and how much would it cost to buy?
  10. You're most welcome Stash2sixx! The Imperial Trading Post is located in the UK so it's highly likely that it will have firing cannons.
  11. It doesn't look that bad - how did you get the hair to stay on anyways?
  12. And merged they have been since the second thread didn't seem to be going anywhere different.
  13. Yes, I think it comes from LEGO chess. Not sure though since I've never played it.
  14. That depends... Firstly it depends on 1) How far away the LEGO is located. Usually the further the more it will cost to send to you and the longer it takes to arrive. 2) The exchange rate. It's definitely cheaper to buy in countries with a lower exchange rate. If you like your LEGO delivered immediately than no, it's not convenient, but if you're happy to wait upto 8 weeks then you can get some good deals if you're prepared to wait for them.
  15. That's very helpful Phred! I'll mirror those thumbnails in the first post of this thread, Phred.
  16. It's been a goodly amount of time, so I be wondering Mr Norrington, have you commenced work on this vessel yet?
  17. Maybe you'd all be curious to know that I've been in contact with the LEGO Community Team recently about these mini-figures...
  18. Do I feel another index coming on?
  19. By all means promote your products, Badger - so long as they're high quality and piratish Might as well merge the two threads together though...
  20. So this is the real Joey Lock! This vignette looks like it would have been suitable for the Pirates Life competition!
  21. It's not very big, is it?
  22. If I say you can post a review about a non LEGO product then it doesn't matter what others think. Go ahead and share your review with us! But this is the wrong forum to be asking about Star Wars...
  23. Due to the fact I'm not getting enough done in my current job. My presence will be minimal Monday to Friday afternoon. You'll have to keep the forum alive for me Mr Norrington!
  24. Isn't the point of these Classic Minifigure volumes to re-release existing mini-figures though?
