  1. It reads like it was written by a delusional teenage girl...
  2. Today I was attacked by a killer chicken!

      Brickington

What?!? You were attacked by a killer chicken, Your Majesty?

  3. If they're going to have molded breasts, they might as well have molded noses and ears too... Otherwise, why emphasis one particular feature and not another?
  4. Licenses don't "wear out", they expire after a period of time - although that's what you probably meant. However, if the first wave of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean sets was profitable then its reasonable to assume they would renew the license for sequels. As the LEGO Group doesn't publicly release licensing information, it's difficult to determine what's happening. That's not entirely accurate as there may be other parties willing to pay more for a Disney license. However, it's possible the LEGO Group has established an arrangement with the Walt Disney Company to automatically secure licensing for most of their film franchises.
  5. Thank you for your contribution! However, a lot will need to change for the image to be upto standard, here are a list of things: The image is too dark and slightly out of focus. The "floor" (or tabletop) isn't a neutral colour - it looks like a wood finish which makes removing the background more difficult. The frame size is too small for the number of minifigures The minifigures aren't posed very well. For example: the shot looks taken above and you can't see the faces of some of the minifigs. One of the pirates and the treasure chest is concealed by an Imperial Guard. Each minifig must be visible in their entirety. What we need is a constant well-lit environment, with a neutral coloured background, which has one or two minifigs framed front-on. Like this:
  6. Nobody was implying you're a troll who spreads rumours, but providing sources makes the information you post more credible.
  7. Does nobody cite their sources anymore? Well here's a possible source.
  8. The new Pirate Forum Skin is well into development now so here's another opportunity to provide you're computer statistics. This is especially important for anyone using an older Internet Browser or slower Internet connection!
  9. Brickset lists three Jake and the Pirates Duplo Sets, otherwise information is scarse at the moment.
  10. Thanks for the heads up - but it's useful to cite your sources. Everyone else check out Disney hires writer for 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' on Variety.com if you like reading cliche ridden drivel which contains a grain of useful information. Or...
  11. Eventually, but we specifically need minifigures at this point and someone who can take dozens of variations of particular pirate sub-themes. But thank you for your contribution, it shall not go to waste!
  12. We're need a lot more photos, so it appears we require some dedicated photographers to let into a hidden forum where all kinds of crazy experiments are being made!
  13. Nobody said it did.
  14. The reason minifigures were originally coloured yellow was in the interest of racial ambiguity, but that was long before facial designs evolved beyond the simple "smiley face". Post 1988 some minifigure facial designs began developing subtleties which indicated features unique to particular races. For example: the Native Americans in the Western theme or most of the minifigures in the Ninja theme. So how does minifigure skin colour differ from facial designs with stereotypical racial features?
  15. It doesn't mean anything...
  16. The sheer weight of all the cannon would surely sink that vessel. SURELY!
  17. Hey Hinckley you fishing punt*, my donkey posts very thoughtfully and never causes any trouble! * was intended to be far more explicit but somehow was mentally censored.
  18. Eh? There isn't any official information regarding that statement and there are no estimates for when the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise may "play out". There could be sequels for many years to come or it could be rebooted completely, possibly with decade long hiatuses in between films.
  19. You can't speculate that in the case of the Lone Ranger theme because nobody knows if it will spawn a successful film franchise at this point in time.
  20. Please provide your Internet browser name and version number, operating system and the specifications of the device you're using so the Eurobricks Staff can better assist you.
  21. If that was the case these products would need to have been concieved in mid 2012 at the latest.
  22. Now if we go to the linked website and read the first sentence it says: "The sixteen different characters in LEGO Minifigures Series 12 are likely to be launched in January 2014." That's not even a rumour, all it means is Toy Shop UK is creating a placeholder webpage so they can anticipate a Minifigure Series release.
  23. Technically the video here is about as early as you'll get, but is it actually a commercial or a promtional video? It seems too long to be a TV commercial. if I'm not mistaken, the below was the first LEGO pirates commercial broadcast and the above animation was sometimes attached to it. http://youtu.be/E1GG82Koclw
  24. Which camera is it?
  25. Arrange a private jet and I shall attend!
