Private parties of the North America. Far North! I will not participate in this war. I will be glad to part out the dead though. ;)

I and my troops are staying out of this. We will wait until everyone has killed everyone else off and then come in with great galleons and take away all of your bricks. Not just the gray ones. ;) :oD

If there are or were aliens they left. Earth is not a very frinedly place and it is filled with a few billion or so people who care more about themselves than anything else. They either got disgusted with it all and left or they went to get bigger guns so it will take less time to take over. If they even exist. It is possible. They are finding new planets all the time that could possibly sustain life much like on earth. I doubt it though. If you believe this is all a big bang and that life has evolved and succeeded to continue through millions of trials to arrive where it is today then you must also understand the odds of it happening. So too must you realize the chances of it happening somewhere else where the planetary conditions or even 1% different are unimaginable. I don't believe that and as such only one knows what is out there. The one who made it all. ;)

Then let's go to the yacht! What are we waiting for. (scooby doo running but don't go anywhere until our feet actually hit the ground)

LEGO surveys drive me crazy. The choices they give you are often times awful and after you answer they show you the top answers which were all 10x better than those you could pick. *wacko* I wish LEGO would do a better survey with more definite answers and have it encompass everything. Then send it out yearly, analyze the trends and make sets that would practically fly off the shelves.

Poll: What type of Grey bricks do YOU prefer?
SuvieD replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
1x's are superior to 2x's for building castle structures. Yet, 2x parts needed for stability and to hold parts togeter that would fall apart if only using 1x's. I would say 80% 1x, 20% 2x in most castle mocs. -
Here are the trials. I took some pictures and then went and brightened them up including the original pictures. You can see them all here Power Armor The pictures are somewhat divided as -original pictures -comparison 1 of original -comparison 2 of heavy duty armor -fire version -aero version -general comparisons All the suits are in the above picture. Better detail is in the other pictures. Please feel free to comment on any of them, especially which of the two style you like best. I tried to make the original "sleeker" but the I like the first design the best still. I did make one change to the original in the 1x1 slopes in the back. I think they look sweet and I wish I had them in more colors. The bulkier heavy duty power armor is nice but the limited range of motion isn't as great. You can decide. The fire and aero are prototypes. I have a lot of trial and error still to go through before I decide what I want them to look like. Finally, because I am looking to make up the rest of the money I lost if I were to sell these what would you pay for them and which would you want?

Skip the transparent people I want one of those blue beards in brown and orange. Those look great! -
I will try to get some pictures tonight of my progress. I have a few different versions and I would like some feedback on them. Check back in tomorrow morning for those of you accross the pond.

I will try that out though probably in dark gray for conformity. This is still the prototype. I am still refining it to get even better figure coverage without losing mobility and a sleeker look overall. I thought I would share my progress. I have ideas for other suits that will also be coming soon. This is the beginning my friend. Soon, our troops will overtake the world! :^D

He is myself and my wife. Sorry wrong picture. I will get it up later today. Oh, I forgot to add the picture. Ha. :$ I will add it tonight for sure. Added! *knight*

Welcome and enjoy. Make sure you post some of your cool creations. Have fun.

Added some great castle stuff at good prices. The Armor Shop Also, changed the shipping to international. If you buy and are a member of Eurobricks I will give you reduced international shipping. Just be sure to mention you EB user name. ;) I decided to prune my castle collection and focus on the sets and figures I like the best. I am still taking special requests. Oh, and if you do take a look let me know how my splash page looks. I tried to be a little more creative and I want some feedback on it.

P.ower A.rmor I.nfantry D.eployment U.nit Standard Power Armor Design The P.A.I.D.U. is employed with the Intergalactic Military Alliance. These heavy armored units wear the latest in power armor technology. Smaller and lighter weight than previous suits the newest version dubbed "Widow Maker" is as dangerous as it's nickname suggests. The suit is powered with 2 cold fusion micro reactor cells that will allow the armor to properly function for up to 1000 years with continual moderate use. This particular model is the basic infantry model. Classic gray color scheme and orange glow are unmistakable. Other features include jet thrusters for short flight (up to a mile with a short recharge time of 3 minutes), a short range wave diffusion generater to weaken or dissipate laser, radio and all other wave emissions, a basic life support system to ensure the pilots health on even the most desolate planets, and a limited use energy shielding to prevent all physical attacks such as being rammed by vehicles or missle blasts. In all field tests only one unit was lost and this was only due to the missle size tested on it. The suit will not withstand direct nuclear blasts. Though a second suit in the test survived with no damage being a little over a half mile from the impact site. This is a peace keeping suit designed to prevent war or end it. Let us hope it works to that end. All other information on this suit is classified. Please enter security code for classified information access ______. Let me know what you think about it. I found this similar design on BS this morning which looks to be very close to my design. Perhaps great minds think alike or I may have inspired them to build there own version. Either way it is cool. I will have the other models in the series soon. So, if you like this one check back later this week for the stealth version. MOC on!

Firstly, excellent pictures! I just picked up the set and I have to say it is great. The robots a wonderful. My only complaint with them is that the head is not removable. They are a copper color and are much thicker and more sturdy than the weak battle drois from SW. The hands rotate and yet have a good friction so poses are very possible. The robots are great. I hope we get some sort of robot factory set with a dozen or more. The mecha are small compact and work well for the size. I will tinker around with the designs to allow more movement. The robot mecha moves much better than the human one. The white armor pieces for the legs limit the feet and knee/hip movement greatly. The hand also needs a longer arm to be effective as it cannot reach the ground as it is. The gate is . . . well it will be nice to use the parts for something else and make my own gate if I want one. The little vehicle is a decnt buggy of sorts. The rotating quad blaster can fire on anything infront of it well, but if attacked aerially from behind it cannot defend itself at all. *twisted* The anime characters are good. I like the hair on both and their suits look the part. When I get my second set (for christmas most likely) I will do a little experiment and report back on the details. Excellent mid-range set. Between this and the graveyard duel these are the best sets LEGO has put out lately.

I think you are right with your guess. Perhaps it is also used to teach naughty vikings to behave by tossing them in it and trolling with the cage under water. After a minute or two, a new behavior should arise.

Greetings crispen. See you around, have fun and behave!

Live it up kid. EB is the place to be. Jinzo is helping out with the mod job so you should know him and many others who have recently joined.

I would like to make a picture request. The box in the background takes away too much for me. Could you take a few pictures of just the hair pieces or put them on a plainer figure? Also. a picture of one of the robots completely dismantled so we can see how they are put together. Finally, can you take any new pictures on a white piece of paper with another piece in the background or if you don't have any something close to white. It makes pictures much easier to see detail on. Just a tip for your blurryness, when you take a photo of something small like LEGO build a box out of bricks and plcae the camera on top of it. That way it will be steady and you can adjust the height easily. You may also want to either move the camera back and then crop your photos later (easy to do), or add move lighting (indirect if possible) or both to improve camera focus and detail captured. If you need help for any of this just say so. Thanks Starwars4J I already decided I am getting this set as soon as it comes out. Your picture review makes me want to get two!

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
SuvieD replied to The Middleman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Props to Mr. Zitron who not only traded some excellent parts to me but also tossed in an added surprise. :oD If you need a trade Matt is a great one to trade with. ;) Luke Use the force, use the force Run to Dagobah, run to Dagobah -
At first I thought you made the left hand side cars. But you made the better looking 1st and 2nd class cars :oo . I like those much better.
-
Yours is sleeker and being four wide more likely closer to something LEGO would do. I think you have done an excellent job capturing the needed details to have a stagecoach. A little refinement is all it would need to be great. Messing with the placing of parts and using plates instead of bricks will allow you more accurate details. Good job!

If you like the heavier stuff I suggest you check out the seespotrock tour. It is almost over but it looks to be good. I am going to try and go in Dec.
