The fact that sitting on that table is $400 worth of rare minifigures/accessories. Not my style either. I would like the castle if it was a little taller maybe.

Make it Prince Edward Island! Make it Prince Edward Island! Make it Prince Edward Island! I like the idea. Don't forget to expand by having a dog sled team for when the waters freeze or if a boat get caught in an ice drift. It might also be cool to have some Viking ruins or weapons as they were in this area.

Sam is the resident newser. If there is info to find on LEGO he will.

Man the worst miss, that's tough. I let three slightly used mindstorms sets (retail $400) sit at a garage sale because I "couldn't think of a use for them." or When I worked for Shopko they had both the entire ninja series and numerous SW double set packages for 50% off or more. I didn't buy even one. :'(

I say you should go with the trans clear 4x4 radar dish. It will look like plexy and this is often what they use so they don't lose visibility from behind it. If you have to go with the technic dish I say white. If you need insiration for a scene like this check out this. Goldman He does a lot of setups like this and has some good building technics.

Question about clear parts I bought.
SuvieD replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
For some reason people in Europe can also order huge bulk amounts of parts from LEGO. This fellow is famous for it. bricks4you.com -
Boomerang? . . . :'( Not trans :'( *sing* I like anime in some ways but dislike it in others. I prefer something in the middle of the eastern and western styles. Stereotyped styles of both exist and most of those really are overrated. Most movies, songs, video games, television programs and books are indeed overrated depending on each persons tastes. Even LEGO sets get overrated. Anime is no different, if a person loves the manga style art or the storylines involved in it then to them it may be the best anime ever. To me it could be mind numbingly dull and overrated. Bottom line is that not everyone likes mushrooms. So do, some don't. I want transparent axes and instead I get white boomerands >:( . . . lame! Art is something people try to put boundries on it works only for the person doing so usually. Blueandwhite thinks that this style of art is overrated, Beagle an artist appreciates the work involved in creating even awful anime and so appreciates it more than others do. Where was I going with this . . . oh yeah I want tranparent axes you stupid overrated air bender boomerang loving artists! *twisted*

Question about clear parts I bought.
SuvieD replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I added this line for the short answer readers, yes, it probably is. If you want to read more then by all means proceed. I don't want to say collectable to much as many LEGO parts at one time were rare and collectable and are not any more. Buying parts from someone in hopes that they will be worth a lot of money isn't always a good idea. It may end up that you pay a lot for something that will be worth next to nothing in six months. I will say that these also look to be a special request part. Generally if any part comes in a color that is not listed as coming from a set, the piece is very old, a special request, promotional, or very new. If one of the 2006 sets has any new color parts they will have been made as soon as the set designs are finalized. So, clear chains, yellow 8x8 plates with grill pattern, tan and brown goblets and many other items may show up in the new sets. It would still require a LEGO employee to be able to get them this soon but they would certainly become common in a few months if this is true. Not as commonly parts especially from the 70's can not be found in the set it belongs to when you look at BL. For example this part is listed in 13 sets yet on bricklink it shows 3. Now obviously if you checked both then chances are it is a little more rare. Also, some promotional items are hard to track. some of the kabaya stuff doesn't show up in anyones databases until months after the product is no longer available. Many of the promotional minifigures (space, maresk, airport) and what they come with can also be difficult to find. Though it has little to do with what we are talking about sometimes parts that seem common become suddenly rare. Pitchforks, cypress trees and others have become a hoarded commodity due to rareness that places their value above even that or gold in some cases. The maresk construction helmet is a good example of this too. An odd example is the SW lightsaber hilt in chrome. It would take almost no effort for LEGO to make more yet because someone started a panic attack that the chrome hilt was no longer going to be made prices have tripled since January. Chewbaca head parts used to sell for $0.25 on BL. They are now $3+. It is all about demand. Thus as demand is the determining factor on collectablity then I would think that yes this is somewhat collectable. It's value is that of what it cost to make it but collectable value is determined by rarity/demand. But like I said earlier more and more people have parts in rare or special colors that LEGO didn't make for sets. It is easier than before to get parts like this. That is why you can buy them for so cheap. If it really was a rare collectible it would be sold for prices like this stuff! My thought on this is if it looks cool and you want it to collect, build or to flaunt it over others then get it if you think it is worth the price. I don't like spending more than a quarter for 4151's in any color. I also don't like spending more than that for a chain in any color. It would be cool to have a few but at over $2 a piece I will pass. -
Thanks I have 10 of the stall and 20 of the boat. I can make a maximum of five more of each, though I probably won't. I like to have about 20 of every part in my collection. I am already below that for many of the parts in these sets. I will focus the next series on sci fi ideas I have instead of trying to make more of these ones. I also collect castle so it is harder for me to sell these sets than it will be for other sets.

Shipping to foriegn countries is not that expensive if the order is small. I can send one set in a bubble mailer for under 3 Euro I think. The more you get the higher the cost goes up obviously. Thanks all for the kind words. I hope these are successful and that I can make some space and mecha sets next. I have a few ideas for some sets in a similar price range.

My friend got this and we played it multiplayer and 4-man glactic conquest. I am not overly impressed but it was fun. Space battles are a little lack luster. I am awful with dual analog so I can't aim very well and that limits my fun but It is pretty solid. I wish the big ship had more stuff on them to blow up and more than one way to take them out. I wouldn't buy this game unless you really like star wars or unless you can play with friends.

He's making it minifig scale? :oo That is costly hobby dedication. It is a good thing I don't want one of those ships. They will be gone before you know it.

The Armor Shop now has two new custom sets available for you. The market stall and The dragon boat (a modified 1547, with custom figures) Let me know what you think about them.

Question about clear parts I bought.
SuvieD replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
You have stumbled onto a special part made specifically for an employee of LEGO. These pieces are not found in current sets and though they maybe in upcoming sets if they don't you have a little piece of LEGO rare collectable. It is very possible this came in some sort of promotional set or perhaps an obscure set not added to the BL database but I doubt it. There are many people out there who are getting ahold of these rare types of pieces more frequently. LEGO employees are allowed to request (and pay for) special parts in special colors not normally made for sets. -
I want a transparent axe like the one that guy is holding! :oo

No one has any insight? You can be brutal. I know the pictures are a little dark. Is there any interest in something like these? Would mecha do better? Would people be willing to spend more or less? What about custom requests, is there something specific you would like to see?

Sweetness! I think Spidey 3 will be the best one yet!

Actually early on Batman used guns and killed people with bullets. ;) 60's Batman was fun and light hearted. Like LEGO.

Some people do think he is some sort of higher being. I think he just like to build with thought and detail. I have heard he only builds, takes pictures and demolishes. That way he has enough peices to move onto the next project. He is one of my inspirational builders. As far as details, it is possible that they either had no more time, money or parts to do more. There is $5000 plus in parts sitting on that table. Even at a good price there must be $2000 in just the BURPs. So I understand why it may not be more detailed. Another $50 in flowers would have gone a long way though.

Here is an example of what a micro ship set I would sell would look like. I would probably use only 2 micro ships and each would be a different design/color scheme. How many micro ships should be included per every $5 a set costs? What price per piece is considered a good buy? What condition do the parts have to be in to be considered/desired (obviously not all parts will be in mint/new condition)? Are instructions a must or should I try something like an x-pod style?

Here is an example of what a space ship I would sell would look like. I would probably use 2 minifigures the other would be at a small radar station. How many minifigures should be included per every $5 a set costs? What price per piece is considered a good buy? What condition do the parts have to be in to be considered/desired (obviously not all parts will be in mint/new condition)? Castle, mecha or space which should I pursue? Are instructions a must or should I try something like an x-pod style?

60's version is less dark and more comedy. I really like the 60's villains, the bang pows, and the great Batmobile. I wouldn't mind some of the others but I am not into the whole dark depressing thing. That's probably why I like Spidey better, just as much action but with more humor and cool super powers.
