It would be fun to have Apo make a fake prison photo with a made up inmate number in it though. We could have a gallery of all the EB baddies on a sticky topic. Then when something goes wrong you could round up the usual suspects and have a line up. :-D Or maybe not. *wacko* Funny mental picture though.

System is compatible but not as much as 4+. I personally like them and will get at least the ship as a gift. Duplo is not the LEGO I use but is a wonderful stepping stone for very young children. For whatever reason Duplo gets all the best themes. Castle, Pirate, Zoo and town stuff. The only themes that are missing are space and vikings.

I really like this one. It is a definite improvement over some of your previous work. The shape and greeblies look nice and I like the jumbo laser that is hidden away. Your colors seem a little too scattered. I would maybe look at switching some of the placement of pieces or maybe even replacing them with the same thing in a different color. It is the little details that will make the builder happy with it so keep trying until you like it. Much better pictures by the way.

Fabuland hammer It came in a few sets. Very cool looking. Sne are you sure you have a black one and not a black Fabuland axe? If you do have some, would you be willing to sell or trade one to me?

A decent camera will cost 100+ A good camera will be 250+ An excellent camera is 400+ Digital cameras are a good investment if you like pictures at all. I would personally wait and save up some money so you can get something worth having for many years to come. I personally prefer the Canon Powershot series as it has an image stabilizer built in uses decent priced AA rechargable batteries and with a good card even on very high settings can capture 200+ pictures. The amount of detail is excellent and I have found mine to photograph LEGO very well which is a nice extra for me. When buying a camera though remember to budget for a case, cleaning equipment, batteries/charging dock, memory card(s) and a warranty/professional cleaning plan if possible. It is easy to go get a camera with 200 and after you add all the extras walk out having spent 300+.

Might I suggest that you build your own ship using bricks and plates and then go read Willy's sail making guide and make your own custom sails. Basic bricks and plates don't cost much if you buy them used and you would be surprised how good you can make something look without all the specialty molds. Another option is to ask your parents to buy it for you instead of a new video game. They cost about the same but one involves much more imagination and thinking and the other button mashing. If you want to get more LEGO for a good price go to garage/yard/second hand sales and see what you can find. I once found a nearly complete BSB for $20. It was missing about 30 common pieces but had about half of an Eldorado Fortress included and all the minifigures. You never know you may get lucky.

Popular sets will be SW for sure because of both fans, collectors and children all wanting them. I think Exo Force will be the most popular in Asian countries and Batman in the US. Europe usually has a good split due to the different tastes verses the US desire for violence. ;)

Welcome to EB and have a great time!

I must have missed it somewhere. What is Batmans helmet made of/why is it so big?

That isn't nice or even right to say that. What do you mean traditional? You have dropped a small hint but don't get my hopes way up. Do you mean traditional like 1970's traditional with no arm figures and everything is boxy or do you mean 1980's traditional when we had Space, Pirates and Castle all at one time? Or are you taking about something else like legends?

A day late and a dollar short I guess. Here is my entry for Vader's contest. Entering the village via rope bridges. The village lookout. The village overview. I rushed this out last night and only had time to take a few pictures this morning before heading off to worked. If there is something you would like to see let me know. Tell me what you think about it.

I like foods that involve a heavy sauce or gravy best usually. Stews, egg foo young, turkey dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy or anything that has a thick white sauce. I prefer rice to noodles and enjoy most melons more so than other fruits. I enjoy bratwurst and other sausages very much and I enjoy a good pork loin or chop. Bacon is very dangerous for me as I tend to eat it in very unhealthy quantities. Beef is the preferable meat though I tend to eat more chicken to maintain a heathier weight. I enjoy spicy foods, sour foods (I love vinegar), salty foods (I generally exceed the recommended salt intake each and every day), and I have a powerful sweet tooth that I feed sugar based sweets (candy) instead of fat based (baked good/ice cream). I like to have a classic American salad with Italian dressing and croutons. Pickles are great as are cucumbers on their own. When going out I opt for chinese or burgers (not McDonalds) and when ordering in I opt for chinese or pizza (pepperoni or ham and pinnapple [ my favorite is sausage and green olive but no one shares my tastes]). Orange juice or red grapefruit are excellent and I very much enjoy scammbled eggs with cheese on top and hashbrowns for breakfast. Eggs are all around wonderful. Nuts like almond, macedamia and cashews are my favorite and I tend to chew on sunflower seeds most days. I very much dislike strong green vegetables, cabbage, tomatos (I like tomato products like sauces or ketchup but not chunks), very stong onions, or anything that at anytime lived under water. I prefer farm bred to wild in most cases as taste is less "wild". I don't eat animal organs.

I really like the part about using your save file from number 1 so you can have up to 100 characters! Also the vehicle missions sound much more fun. This game will be great.

It will some good deal of time (3 or 4 years) but I would think LEGO will make parts like you want for the Factory system they are working on. Eventually, the goal is for everyone to be able to design their own sets (even train and technic) and then buy them. Obviously cost and color will be resticted but I can see them releasing a few of the parts in colors you are looking for.

Not to be mean or anything but this thread will be chaos. The premise is okay but could use refinement. Also your combat rules are a little to vague. I can see the fun you are trying to have with it but this whole thing will become completely unfair very quickly. For example, space vehicles use lasers which are high powered and rip through anything not space. Meaning any theme that takes place (timewise) during or before town wil have one option in battle. Die. Not only that but Star Wars and space themes have advanced spy equipment, force fields and shielding that prevent other from being able to attack even. Completely unfair. I suggest you do three things. Completely rework the rules to be more logical and fair Drop this whole thing and participate in the forums somewhere else or actually go build something w/LEGO Don't complain when everyone drops out of this or it gets locked Remember these are only suggestions, do what you will but this game will go no where fast except to arguements and unfairness.

Welcome brainwashed youth. I am sorry you love Halo. Perhaps one day you will discover the joy of intelligent games that are not designed to numb your mind and make Evilsoft even more money. It is nice to see that you have an interest in an imaginative toy such as LEGO.

Simple and very cool. I like the use of the net to hold the greenery for a canopy. The double ladder pieces seems a little off but other than that I like the whole idea and I can see this as part of a village or something. It would make a good outpost for that.

I thought much of the "dark ages" was named due to the heavy political corruption and near extinction of the Christian world. Muslim radicals destroyed the major Christian learning centers of Alexandria, Jerusalem and Constantinople (I think those were the three). Only Rome survived. Because much of history was recorded by the literate and most of the literate where nobility and the Roman Catholic church leadership it was skewed and labeled the dark ages during the rebirth period. I think it is funny how a MOC castle discussion turns into a discourse on the history of Europe at or near the time castles were built. I still think this castle is a big lumpy gray thing that would be less defensible than one built on a hill. I also prefer fantasy (moderate) castles to real life fortifications knowing that their is no romance in real war nor do castles have any real protection after the introducement of cannons. Oh, I only got to see one walled city while in Europe, Rothenburg, and I must say that they had no castle due to an earthquake and that as a free imperial city it was quite nice. The defense of the city did not rely on a castle but on it's high walls which were extremely hard to approch (being on a hill) except for on one side which was the most heavily guarded by gates and towers. I can only imagine the stink of such a city with no plumbing and using livestock as vehicles. Maybe we should call it the Stinky Ages instead of the Dark Ages. ;)

I am confused. 772 pieces for $50 and 80% is dark bley. Is this a license product or a clever castle parts pack? Either way I am getting one. I am not sure about the temple yet. I fear stickers which would drop the value in my eyes. I must say that the new disk launcher (which is totally unrealistic) is awesome and I will want a good dozen of those.

Happy birthday! Enjoy it while it lasts The day goes by so fast So quickly gone it seems I hope you ate ice cream! May all you boxes rattle or smell of cash.

I think you should work within the confines of the environment. Thus you can't have hovercars or make something up to limit a specific ability. For example lets stick with the anti gravity source. Using a very sophisticated and breakthrough technology scientists have discovered a way to temporarily reverse the pull of gravity on Earth. Using a complex anti gravity engine people are cabable of maintaining a "hovering" position a small space above the ground. The engine runs in cycles. So that when you start it it takes a vertical thrust of some kind to get the initial lift and then the anti gravity engine begins to negate the effects of gravity and inertia allows the vehicle to remain in a constant forward motion with a little help from a low energy propulsion system. The cycles are set at 0.001 seconds apart so that the craft is actually "falling" during each off cycle when gravity is effecting the vehicle. It is only apparent that the vehicle is losing altitude after several hundred miles. This way you could hover at any height but it would take far too much time to do any decent vertical movement thus removing the "flying" concept as you have no lift. By limiting the technology you can limit it's effect. Obviously, 50 years from this date a non-cycled engine will be in military use and 50 years from that point everyone will be using it in there Pinto X2X's. Eventually someone would make a reverse gravity capability and we could use it in commercial jets for cheap and efficient world travel. As all technology comes in steps you could limit any technology in this fashion. Magnetism could work the same way but this technology is very limited in a way that anti grav is not.
