  1. It's all about selling newspapers! But no, it is not my intent to stir up "trouble". (Additionally, I am on the side of RP and immersion. Don't want the MRCA to "just" be a game mechanic. )
  2. Good idea, thanks. 'Tis what I do! *slams door after door* One, two, many... I'd think a few more would show an interest in such matters, though... Another scandal! Will the neutral sea rat merchants protest? Require recompense? And who will they blame? The WTC, or all of Corrington?!? Tensions are rising!
  3. Believe me, there are many in COR wondering how OL (and SR) will react (IC).
  4. I get your point, hence the limbo. But the KPA serves a double purpose, as it is also meant to showcase all our interesting stories in the brick seas OOC. We can consider in the future releases only to show information about the AMRCAs in the KPA that would be "widely" known, and then have people go to the adventure if they want more, but I am afraid it will dilute the stories too much to be fun reading? We will see what we can do. That you won't be able to meta game your way out of the AMRCA challenge? ;) I think we did discuss this - you have two ships - why not repair one and send it back, if you need homebase to get information and react on it? That would be one solution :)
  5. I would say that the aMRCA's are in a bit of a limbo. While it may be considered common knowledge that OL and ESL are active on Terraversa, those expeditions outside the reach of normal trade and travel would not IC makes sense to be known apart from their original orders/plans. It will somewhat break the aMRCA format if everything is considered IC knowledge, so put in an IC filter - does it make sense that something is known. Hence, your expedition will only be known to have sailed north, I guess. :)
  6. Always a pleasure to work with my favourite KPA editor, Capt Wolf - Excellent edition, sir! :) And even though I have rolled the results and helped with the write-ups, it is ALWAYS interesting to see the final result! MRCA's really are great fun, and believe us when we say we are sorry for the delays. We are fairly hopeful the next round(s) will progress more in schedule, now being more confident in working with the expertly made (but dreadfully advanced) spreadsheets designed by our very own Genaro. A shout-out to the aMRCA group too for their help on that end. And now off to spin grand political tales on the results...
  7. Rumour has it that workers have been called in for night work at the KPA printing facilities...
  8. I'd really suggest an open troop registry. So everyone can see where everyone's troops are at any given time.
  9. Lovely build all around. My favourite detail is the exposed roof rafter, but the process is depicted nicely too! And there is great marketing value in the first picture! :D
  10. Amusing idea and lovely little builds. Will be looking forward to following this!
  11. Excellent build, Ayrlego - the tudor style and walls are excellent. I particularly like the gables (?), which is something I am always struggling a bit with, getting the transition from vertical walls to sloped done. While I find the lower stone wall technique impressive, I personally am not a big fan of the "over-detailed" look it results in. I am sure this is a matter of taste, but I wonder what real life counterpart this is meant to represent? Anyways, all around great build with some nice details all over.
  12. Lovely little scene - I like how you did the oars, arches and door handles in particular. Very nicely built! But it seems we need more customs patrols... ;)
  13. 12
  14. I think he will soon make a show in Jameston. (Once I get to it) And most people there probably knows about his emergence - probably the talk of the town, to some degree. And then he will probably make his way to King's Harbour. But since when has the WTCM been hindered by reality? :P
  15. Out of curiosity, do we have any BoBs'er(s) 'proficient' in programming? And possibly willing to spend some time on BoBs related stuff? In that case, send me a pm :)
  16. King's Harbour. Kings Port is on Terraversa. ;)
  17. And in today's issue of "Sweeping Statements" we have a classic from Mesabi...
  18. How many issues have you made?
  19. Chapter 1: New appointments "I believe now is the time - the diplomatic landscape is moving rapidly" Fletcher remarked with a firm nod. "But are we certain Montoya is up for the task?" "I can hardly say, sir. All I got was this hastily scribbled note, and though I am flush with joy of my friends resurfacing in good heath, I know nothing of Montoya's state of mind." Cooke answered. "I see. Perhaps it would be wise not to burden him too much, although his experience would come in handy..." Fletcher pondered for a moment. "There is the young mr. Barlow..." Cooke interjected. "Ah, indeed! I shall appoint him Junior Attaché and put him in charge of getting the expedition formed. I believe I will soon have some ships made available too!" "The Amiable is launched and outfitted, and ready for service." Fletcher nodded. "Ah, and here we have mr. Farley" who was waving at them. "I trust we are not running late?" "Not at all, sirs" the seemingly always confused young gentleman said and bit them into his mansion.
  20. The Second Clue Once the Huntress and Emile were safely away from the Promethean's building, they examined the clue. "Well, this is just a piece of paper with an x on it!" Said Emile. "This can't be the clue!" "Wait, lay the parchment across the first clue, the map." Said the huntress. They placed the second piece of parchment across the first, and realized that they lined up perfectly. Held against the light, the x clearly marked Nola Mar, one of the original Atwi settlements. "In Nola Mar..." the huntress mumbled. "But where in Nola Mar? The Atwi has lived there for centuries... I have never heard of any shrine or tomb that could hold such an artifact?..." "You must proceed from here - I have someone I need to meet" she added before hurrying away into a dark alley with no further explanation. Options: The Sillitholina Monastery Some of the Atwi converted to their own interpretation of the Faith, and erected monasteries, in which Atwi scholars and philosophers would seek peace and contact with the Gods. They were chosen to guard the first of the clues. To gain access to the clue, you must go investigate the monastery. Build a micro of the Sillitholina Monastery and a vignette or build showing the expedition finding the clue inside the monastery. (Is it hidden in the floor, a statue, or?) Right into the lion's den The answers must lie in Nola Mar! Atwi or Prometheans be damned, that is where we will go! Build a micro of the Atwi harbour town of Nola Mar and indicate where and how you will start your search. "Political contacts"... In Kings Port, there was still muttering about the presence of a seemingly passive Olean delegation. What had they been up to for the last few months? Now that the Eslandians had arrived, many wondered why the RNTC was dilly-dallying so. They still had the names Tarlo had brought them - and now had to decide who to approach... Our best chance is to stick to Oldis. He is clearly in charge, and if we try to appease his closest friends and political allies, surely we can bring ourselves closer to an agreement? Oldis is a haughty fool, and clearly, the time has come for a change! We should contact Oldis' political opponents amongst the plebeians and seek to levy pressure through them - Surely he cannot rule comfortably without the support of the commoners? This noble republic may be... short-lived. There are many who still wishes for return to the Mardierian crown. It will be risky, but Tarlo has given us a contact to a secret society of loyalist politicians, nobles, and merchants. Perhaps this is where we should start... One build is required to progress this storyline. There is a risk of discovery regardless of what choice you make. Reassembling the expedition In Westface, the locals have warmed somewhat to the Oleanders now free and shopping for souvenirs, bringing trade to the settlement. There is still the question though, where the expedition will head next. One build required. Once fulfilled, the ships in Westface (Esprit Fortune and Eastern Trader) will be free to sail in the tMRCA again, or join the expedition. (Indicate which of these choices you make) For each storyline, one build is required to continue. Any or all of the storylines can proceed this turn. Remaining options will (most likely) still be available next round.
  21. Hip hip hooray! This is all up to you, but we are more than happy to help get you started. The basics (such as properties) aren't too complex. I'd definitely suggest making your story the defining factor as to where the builds are to be located. Many of our characters start out their trip to the colonies in Arlinsport, our oldest colony. Our northern settlements (Stormhaven and Elizabethville) have seen less activity than they deserve, and Port Raleigh has seen a recent revival. King's Harbour is the home of our colonial fleet and the main naval base in Terra Nova, and further east, settlements like Jameston and Mesabi Landing have become large centres of trade. And there are quite a few more to choose from. :)
  22. Can you dig up that PM again? I think it has gone lost in my inbox.
