  1. Yes, but instead of paying your store, the only one on bricklink that has one, 189 dollars, I think I'll order http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160909966131&item=160909966131&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466, a new in box 8450 the mission...
  2. Indeed. Also shows the stickers on that second gearbox. Have these been noted before? They are obviously out and down outriggers stickers... It looks funny carrying 42001 around... haha Also, at 1:04, a guy steals a 42008 service truck and replaces it with another...
  3. Wow, I just looked at Lego Direct and now I don't understand why people ever use bricklink... Except for some reason I cannot see the price.
  4. 42000-OUTSTANDING 42001-Indifferent 42002-Fine 42004-Fine 42005-Meh, don't like it all that much 42006-Fine 42007-Price per piece is awful, but I love the wheels and the new "mini panels" 42008-AWESOME, Love how they did the new green color scheme and pneumatics but I'll pass cause all I want is the green and I need to keep my green 42009-How many crane trucks have they done? 100? Please do something different, but as a parts pack its awesome. I love the rerelease of 8421 as well as the rerelease of the yellow 5x11's 42010-Pretty Cool 42011-Hate the color not the set If this counts, 31313- Out of this world!
  5. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but looking over the product sheets again, you have to buy the expansion kit to get those special red track clips, the new 3x11 panels, unimog portal axle stuff, and much more we were looking forward to.
  6. I'm basing everything upon EV3. I know by the time I get it and Battery pack I'll have spent $410 easy. I have talked myself out of buying all but that crane, although the Service truck is REALLY nice. I HAVE to talk myself out of buying that crane. I have limited my spending this year to EV3 and bricklink orders, but that probably won't be the way it turns out.
  7. Nope. BTW, I can barely see the 42005 peeking its head in the left corner...
  8. Assuming you mean 42008, I think it indeed has the same wheels as 8109... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=56145c01
  9. Just to let you know, that new panel is a yellow version of the black one inside the tracks of the starter model for the 31313 Mindstorms EV3 (2013)...
  10. It's on sale for $160 at Lego Shop... Should be back in stock soon...
  11. Santa was also good to me. I got a 9396 Helicopter, and had it built by suppertime on Christmas! I also got Sariel's book. Yesterday, I got a couple books: the Lego Book and the Art of Lego Mindstorms Nxt-G Programming!
  12. Ok. I finally got all of those picture sizes and the weird text format stuff fixed...
  13. Oh. Sure. I used brickshelf and wasn't sure how to resize them. Just a few minutes... I probably won't use sails, as I don't have any at the time. No, I would have to order sails through BL. I have been tracking your AMAZING work, and cannot wait to see the end result.
  14. This is a sailboat I made in complete studless. It doesn't have any functions, but soon I will test and see if it floats. I mainly used Wikipedia as a source for inspiration. Go to my brickshelf (http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?m=Porty) for more pics. (at this time they are not moderated yet) Thanks for looking!
  15. I just found where in July of 2011 I posted my suggestions for the 3.0 on the official lego messageboards: "Hey, guys. I have been reading the talk about a new generation of mindstorms. Here are my suggestions for Mindstorms 3.0 (LMS) : 1. 4 inch touchscreen 2. Built in cam on top 3. MicroSD card slot 4. USB slot 5. Android 2.2 OS 6. Mic 7. Better Speakers 8. ~600 lego pieces 9. G-sensor 10. Bluetooth connection from the LMS to sensors and motors 11. Wifi Maybe you wonder why we need this stuff, and I have an answer to every question of yours." Well, that was my post. They did #'s 3,4, 5 (Linux, so pretty much), 6,7,8, and 11! A 4-inch touchscreen would make the brick to big, the cam would probably be low quality, Linux will be better than android, 9-10 would be cool but EXPENSIVE.
  16. No, not really. Here's you real proof (I made this in MS paint).
  17. Think I might have just found something: http://cache.lego.com/upload/contentTemplating/Mindstorms2News/otherfiles/download69B946250150B6AEBE7D48A0EE1A0595.pdf
  18. Ok. I am so excited, my wallets not really, but hey, who cares. I'll state what I know. First of all, there will be HUGE improvements. I'll leave that part to others. What I think is really important is finding out if educational or home use version will be better. So, for educational: We know it includes EV3 P-Brick, 2 touch sensors, 1 gyro, 1 color, 1 ultrasonic, Rechargeable battery with charger, 2 regular style motors, 1 medium motor, and then a bunch of technic parts, including a lot of black panels, 8070 wheels (I think), sprockets and treads, and of course plenty of beams and pins. What they left out were these: IR seeker and IR beacon. No big deal, right? Then there's the awful news... The software is not included, but rather will cost you another $100!!! Now, for the "home use version". We don't know a whole lot about it. We do know it has the IR seeker and beacon, same motor and P-brick situation. We can only hope it includes the software and maintains the essential (IMO) rechargeable battery pack... For the standard version, it's mostly mere speculation.
  19. The ultrasonic will come with the educational version, and the IR will come with the normal. I think the educational version will be the only one with rechargeable battery included. What shocks me is that NO SOFTWARE is included with the educational version!!! Maybe it will in the regular version...
  20. I'm in that same boat (or helicopter, I guess). I have tried all day today with a TINY plane I made with the lightest parts I have (mainly flex), and NOTHING but SLOW easing along the ground...
  21. @Crtlego: Indeed, I love your style of building! It's amazing that you would risk so many parts and electronics, but by looking at it, it looks to be very safe and sturdy!
  22. @legomuppet9: Wow, cents per piece is totally AWFUL compared with previous years. Our last march set had 1308+PF+LA's!!! Last year: $140. This year: ~$130 according to Alasdair Ryan! @Ondra: You're probably right. I didn't look that close.
  23. Thanks, Alasdair. I cannot wait to see it. One more question. Piece count? Argos won't show up because of my internet security.
