  1. Correct. It shouldn't take too long.
  2. In short, as fast as you go. There's no time-frame that you have to follow, just do reviews at your own pace. We'll be ready for you. I hope to see you in the Academy!
  3. That's the point.
  4. Vig. 67c Sailing aboard the Flying Jockey are the crew of scallywags known as the Bare-Chested Bandits.... They are known for their fondness for wearing nothing but skimpy trousers, exposing the thick, muscular and rather smelly flesh of their rugged torsos. Captain Boxer enjoys hiding out in his cabin along with his shrunken head collection, letting his crew do most of the pillaging. Underneath the Captain's desk hides a trapdoor leading down to where all of the action is. Here the BCBs store all of their hard-earned booty, plus the pet monkey Peels and a fair amount of rum... Come on, join the fun! Comments are welcome! Thanks for the great contest!
  5. Thanks for including me in this entertaining MOC. You did a good job with this, I had fun seeing it.
  6. While I agree that it's nice to leave participation open, I was glad it was by invitation this time around, otherwise I never would have tried it out considering I'm not a huge game fan. It also keeps the game nice and small. I would have liked to be a bit more active in the game, but I've been quite busy. I did try my best though to stick with it! It was also a bit tough with Draggy being in a 12 hours different time zone. By the time I was awake people had already guessed quite a bit. Anyways, thanks again Draggy, I had fun!
  7. That's a really lovely entry Patriot! I think you did an excellent job making the entry nice and smooth, and the color scheme looks perfect as well. The SNOT floor on the lowest level is excellent, and makes the entry very pleasing to the eye. Another thing you did very well is all of the furniture and things on the wall. The fireplace is well built. I like the crossed swords on the wall. While the upper decks are small, what you've included in them adds a lot to the entry as a whole. I enjoyed viewing the different actions of the minifigs, especially the drunken one. Good work on the cannon area as well. Improvement ideas: 1) The top of the bed looks quite odd since it's sort of a "T" shape. I would recommend extending out the supports to the edge so it's rectangular. 2) Perhaps the bedsheets would look nice in red and white to match the Imperial colors. ============================================ That's just about all I can think of for now. Your entry is definitely great, and your building skills have greatly improved since PtV. Good work, and good luck in the contest!
  8. You have a very good start on this Honeybee! (By the way, welcome to EB!) One thing you have a plentiful amount of is fun interior design elements, like the angled table, keg, and the crystal balls. You did a great job with the SNOT floor as well. Some improvement ideas: 1) I would definitely recommend deeplinking 2 more images to the post, so viewers don't have to click on a link to see them. 2) Writing a little back story for your entry would give more insight about your entry, like why are the minifigs skeletons for example. 3) The black brick wall might look better in brown if you have enough. 4) Your lantern on the left looks great, but I'm not a big fan of the red hand sticking out. I know it's meant to be a flame but I think leaving it bare might look better. 5) A minor point, putting some tiles on the front where there are studs showing would match the sleekness of the rest of your entry. ===================================================== I think you did a superb job for a first MOC. You've incorporated lots of detail which is sometimes hard even for experienced builders. Good work, and all the best for the contest!
  9. Thanks for the bee-yutiful review ISC! This certainly has to be one of the best sets for a long time. The level of design included within is superb, and adding to that the great minifigs and animal, you have the makings of a legendary set. I'm glad I'm around to get this, and not in a Dark Age or something. Great review of a lovely set!
  10. Awesome work as usual Sly! I simply love the flippers on the mer-people and that beautiful jellyfish. Are the flippers attached with rubber bands? Stunning!
  11. You sneaky dog Draggy. I don't have time to read it all tonight, but I just had to peek at the end, and low and behold our own host is the culprit. I'll read the rest tomorrow. Thanks for all of the fun!
  12. Congrats Sandy! I guess us guys simply don't have the brainpower for this sort of thing. Thanks for the great game Draggy!
  13. Welcome to the best site on the internet! Hope you enjoy yourself!
  14. TRU exclusives can be large, just look at the Volcano Base from Agents and the SW Republic Cruiser. Those 2 sound promising.
  15. While I agree that they're a bit big for a regular plate, I love using them for pirates' treasure, as sort of a golden item. I definitely love the new laptop, and I hop to see a more updated cell phone in the future, considering what a large role they play in the world today. Another piece that is a favorite of mine is the new spyglass piece, not so much for using as a minifig accessory, but as a detail piece for buildings and such.
  16. Actually, I think the brown chains look perfect for some reason... I like that they're a bit different than the usual chains.
  17. Beautiful entry Guss! I greatly enjoyed reading the story. It's chock-full of nice color and detail, and in addition, I love how you incorporated the light blue and tan into the floor. It really pops out to the eye. Your piano is stunning as well, the usage of the hinge pieces is perfect. Good work on the bed, the color selection (as with the rest of your entry) is outstanding, and matches the Imperial colors nicely. Although the pillow would seem a bit hard on the back . Nice job with the supports also. The upper deck may be small, but I feel that you packed in a great amount of cool designs into a space that size. I love the brown chains connecting the cannons. A great little detail. Plus, the Imperial flag waving above pulls the blue into the upper deck too. There's really not much to improve, but here are a few suggestions. Some improvement ideas: 1) Simply putting some brown tiles around the SNOT area on the lower deck would match a whole lot better, and give your entry an ever smoother look. 2) I like Cap'n Blackmoor's idea of adding a window where the picture is. It would break up the plain wall nicely. 3) Your tan armchair on the right looks excellent, but I feel it almost looks a bit too modern. Perhaps you could "old-fashion" it a bit more. To accomplish this, you could make the back a little less angled, because I think people often associate that with modern. Maybe a few more textured pieces as well. 4) The desk at the back might look nice with some added things, for example a hairbrush, some trans-bottles, or an ink bottle with quill. ================================================== Your entry is simply superb. Great build, beautiful colors, along with some nice humor and a fun story set your entry at a high level. Excellent work, and good luck!
  18. The thing on the right side of the middle deck, that looks like a piano with pipes coming out.
  19. 6 Soldier's Arsenal impulses from Target to add to my growing army.
  20. Nice, it's even better now than it was before! The new piano keys look superb. A massive improvement. Good work ISC!
  21. Ha! That feature is absolutely hilarious! I really laughed. Great work finishing this up, and good luck in the contest.
  22. Great work! You've really done an excellent job improving this, all of the hard work has paid off.
  23. Excellent work ISC! A very creative idea with some awesome details and fun things to look at. I simply love the usage of Kit Fisto's head for Davy, it's a great match. Nice work with the organ as well, I think that's the first LEGO organ I've seen... The underside is gorgeous with all of the debris scattered around. It gives it a real nice underwater graveyard feel. I laughed at the little monster coming out of the crate. Another thing you did an excellent job with is the tiling, giving the entry a very shipwrecked look. But I must ask, what is that "thing" with the horns and the trans-blue dishes? A sea snail? Improvement ideas: 1) A minor point, but I feel that the yellow windows don't match the whole shipwrecked feel of the rest of the entry. Perhaps you could do a brown tile diagonally across, so it looks boarded up. 2) Treasure chest with a heart inside beside Davy Jones? 3) Some sort of a lantern hanging near the organ might be a nice touch. ================================================== You did a very good job on this entry. Certainly a favorite thus far. It combines a fun idea with great details and a bit of humor thrown in for good measure. Excellent work, and good luck!
  24. It's extremely difficult for me to just pick 3 of each, but here goes. Top 3 1) Pirates, both classic and current. 2) Tie: Agents and Indiana Jones. 3) Star Wars. The Toilet-Dwellers 1) Bionicle/Technic. However, I certainly don't think are any of LEGO's worst made themes, I just don't have any desire for them. 2) Spongebob. I don't think the sets are terrible, but the fact they just re-released a set that looks almost exactly like it's predecessor is a big . 3) I'm having trouble thinking of one more, so just insert your least favorite here.
  25. Deeplinking means linking your pictures from an image hosting site such as Flickr or Brickshelf, to Eurobricks so they show up without having to click on a link. I'm certainly glad TLG has started using pearl chrome hilts now. They're not quite as cool as the old chrome ones, but a massive improvement over the bley ones.
