  1. Stunning as usual Sly. Many thanks for sharing the wall technique, it's very interesting and gives a lovely effect. Does each panel ust rest against the building? Your dock looks beautiful as well with the string. Excellent work.
  2. Simply hilarious. But don't tease my poor beheaded cousin. My folkdacing is coming along nicely by the way, thanks for asking. I had a good stomach-workout with the laughing. A from me. You should start a T.V.program, "Cooking with Svelte"
  3. Bricklink is a builder's best friend. You'll be able to buy bricks in large quantities there. Good luck with this massive undertaking!
  4. Plus, the new line has only been around for a year, and the sets may well improve in the next wave (Although I think they're already great.) Generally, sets improve every year, so those who aren't big fans of them may still decide that they're as good as I do. I also have to add that I love the new line for some different MOCing pieces. The old line had little brown which is quite plentiful in the new line, along with dark brown and some other lovely colors.
  5. Although I can't really see how it's more "childy" than the old line. Sure, the skulls are a bit more geared towards children, but besides that I can't think of much else.
  6. Wow, that's a large group of minifigs. I just can't see myself paying $100 for only minifigs.... The magnets are a pretty good deal at the moment.
  7. Nice finds Zorro! That merman is... "interesting". I like the islander and soldier armies.
  8. I really do like the new sets. I think it's a bit tough to compare the two, because the types of sets in all themes are so different nowadays. The newer sets have a few more large pieces, but this allows for a much smoother design. Both eras have their upsides and downsides.
  9. Can you please re-size the pictures? They take forever to load. I'm very excited for this set, it seems lovely.
  10. Ummm... Not that I know of. My Grandmother's cakes are always sweet, and the ice-cream tastes sweet as well.
  11. Happy Birthday Mr. CopMike! Hope you have a fantastic day! It seems the staff decided that you're too cool not to imitate.
  12. Happened to me as well. But it looks like he's been banned already.
  13. If this is true, what utter crap. I mean, $1.00 for a measly cherry is blasphemy. I definitely will not be buying anything from PAB if this is indeed true, I'll take Bricklink any day.
  14. Well, when I was interviewed I was in the U.S..... The Ice-Cream that I like in Germany is actually more similar to sorbet, as it's much less heavy than say, store-bought ice cream. The store is actually run by Italians, who certainly know their ice cream I frankly was shocked that Zuloo didn't address this issue. CNN even asked me to do a segment on folk-dancing once. Thanks again for doing this Zuloo, I had a lot of fun.
  15. Haha! Thanks for including little old me in your entry GA. I had a good laugh.
  16. I don't think my building habits change much according to the seasons, although I definitely do spend more time outside when it's above freezing. My building changes more if a month has a bunch of contests or events going on. For example, in March I built way more than I usually do because of the unusually high amount of contests.
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks! You'll feel perfectly at home here.
  18. Presenting my second entry, the Fish Monger!
  19. Presenting my second entry, the Fish Monger! Thanks for the great contest!
  20. Hey, take it easy on me, it's my first try at an april fools joke and I didn't want to scare anyone too much. Although I guess that's supposed to be the point.... I need to practice this. Ok, now that it's the 2nd I can say JUST KIDDING! I had you all fooled didn't I? Ok ok, it fooled no one except Jammiedodger, and he probably even knew. But I had fun and that's all that counts!
  21. Mr. Jester loves nothing more than to show off his shark riding skills for the ladies at the local beach....
  22. Haha! I'm loving the entries so far! Yours is particularly funny in my opinion Thrash. Mine will be up soon.
  23. Nope, it's somber.
  24. Bah humbug Hinck.
  25. Good work on your entry Brickule. It packs some nice details into a small package. My favorite part of your entry has to be the walls. the red, white and brown look lovely together and the windows add a lot as well. Add to that the planks and you have a perfect combo. The captain's bed is well-built too, and how you used the magnifying glass was brilliant. Improvement Suggestions: 1) The captain's torso looks more like a regular old pirate's. Something more royal looking would be nice I think. Maybe add a plume if you have one. 2) Putting some tiles on the floor would smooth out your entry nicely. 3) The black tiles on top don't match the rest of your walls too well. Brown, white, or even red tiles would most likely look better. ============================================== Other than those minor points, I think your entry is quite good indeed! Nice work, and I wish you the best of luck.
