Clean vig and humorous story. Nice! That table is a great design as well!

Thanks! I had that tail piece put together for some time and when I put the rest of the dragon together it seemed to fit... Thanks! Ha, I'm trying to find some other uses for the Hero Factory pieces. Not a traditional dragon head but gives the dragon category some deviation.... Thanks for the comment! Thanks! I have another dragon in the works but waiting for LEGO to make a certain piece in black. Thanks! The wings are what gave me incentive to photograph it. I'm still trying to figure out a less bulky way to attach them and be as sturdy. Thanks! The columns were just a quick throw together to give the dragon a scene. Definitely don't have a problem with you borrowing the idea. Thanks! Glad you liked them! Thanks! Haha, my wife said the exact same thing when she saw the pic. At first glance it definitely does kind of look like a spider. I was trying to show the brick built skeletal underbelly but the angle shot is not quite right. Thanks! The columns were actually just a quick throw together to give the dragon a scene. Thanks! If it wasn't for the wings, I probably wouldn't have bothered photographing it or building the pillars to make a scene for it. This is one of those builds that came together without meaning to build anything. One part led to the next.

All around great series! The gnome might be my favorite... but like I said on flickr that lantern is genius!

Anton D'Oro was scared. When Masa had first told him that his first lesson under Masa's guardianship was to steal some treasure from an old dragon, he had been full of enthusiasm. Now that he was within feet of the dragon, his courage had disappeared. The old dragon was larger than he had imagined and looked invincible. But he would not run. He would never be able to face his father, Lord Raphael, again if he ran from his first training. Whatever the outcome, he would follow Masa's instruction. Masa could sense that the young D'oro was scared. He was glad. The old dragon, whom Masa had nicknamed "Old Bones", paced back and forth in the cavern as if he knew some thief was there to steal his treasure. He would never let any harm come to the lad and that is why he picked this dragon to begin the lad's training. He wanted to see how the lad would perform under fear and whether he would follow Masa's orders even if it seemed those orders would cause him harm. It was important to establish early on complete trust and obedience in this lad because if there was any real danger, the lad must follow his commands without a second thought. He had purposely failed to inform Anton of some important information about this dragon. Years before, no telling how long ago, some necromancer had raised this dragon back to life with an incomplete spell. The poor creature had no sight, no hearing, and no smell, couldn't even breathe fire and was practically harmless unless by some accident he managed to step on you.

The BUGS might be gone but they left behind a gazillion eggs that hatch mutated humans. From one space rock to the next Galaxy Squad is cleaning up all trace of the bugs. Here they are seen using one of Microtronic's latest mech designs.

These were my three year old son's idea. He thought it would be "cool" to put two wheels on the front of the bikes so this is what I came up with. The ATV on the right is almost built entirely by my son.

Possibly my favorite entry! I really like how you arranged and fit it all on the small base but built so high. I can really visualize a massive cavern. -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
The cost of building Aden's Gate was far greater than Bishop Jamon had estimated. To keep from completely draining the Orders coffers, he made a deal with a very wealthy Varlyrian lord who had converted to the faith. The settlement was renamed Blackrock. -
Nicely done! Great job with the lady minotaur!

I agree that the sales were not that noteworthy... I did pick up a few sets but nothing GoH related. -
Hammerstein NWCs Collectible Minifig Series
Mike S replied to Hammerstein NWC's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is probably the series that has the highest number of figs that I'm an absolute fan of. Kaliphlin, Avalonia, Varlyrio figs are a perfect 4 out of 4, 3 out of 3 and 1 out of 1 respectively, I absolutely love every single one of them. Mitgardia is a 3 out of 4, with the only one I'm not really impressed with being the Blacksmith although his accessories are awesome. Nocturnus figs aren't bad but they just don't seem to stand out for me like the others do...though I do think the Reptrian and Gorgon are brilliant! I will definitely need to replicate the Entertainer and The Valkyrie for my personal collection!- 31 replies

While I've always leaned on the side of classic yellow figs, I have to admit these are some really great looking figs. Great combos and weapons as well!

Great series! The chieftain and the Duke are my favorites!

Well I got to love this series seeing that Kaliphlin got some major and awesome representation! But I also think you did a great job on most of the combinations. Really like how the Avalonian Ranger turned out using the classic torso! The Woodland Sentry made me smile. The Northern Lady is very fitting and I had to do a double take to figure out the piece usage on the lava miner's bucket.

Great series! The Figs that really stand out to me are the Kaliphlin archer, Dragon knight, flesh eater, and Knight of the order of the burning stag.
