If I'm one of them you address here, which I presume, I'd like to answer with that I'm surely not only focused on you. You just happened to 1 of 2 main suspects to me when I cast my vote and your behavior yesterday was what earned you the extra distrust to make me chose you. Since then, a lot of people seem to favor a lynch of Gerrid instead of you and because I want to reach a conviction I will change my vote. Unvote: Bergulf (badboytje88) Vote: Gerrid (Captain Genaro)

Thanks guys! I have prepared MOCs for most of the locations in the House and especially one of them is quite big, can't wait to show you. And to CM: Don't worry, there will be other NPCs that will talk to Cronk.

Heroica RPG - Quest #49: The Light That Reveals Everything
Etzel replied to Etzel's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I won't press you in this matter, Haldor. But I hope that you one day will see that your gods are just weak reflections of the greater deities that rules this world. Your Thoric might be some barbarian distortion of Ennoc, but in that form he can never give you the same amount of power as in his original state." The cleric then continues to completely ignore Cronk. "Alas, miss Fenral, I'm all too occupied in trying to teach the novices all they need to know to become clerics and paladins of their own. The small free time I have doesn't allow me to experiment with anything beyond the ordinary. I did make some potion with raspberry flavor, but I think we have used up all of it, otherwise I would have offered you one." "If you wish to visit the Training grounds there is a door leading out to it right here in the Study. It's practical to have the novices train both inside and outside. Please say hello to Sir Helmer, the training master, from me. He is quite new here at the House, but we know each other from the time in the Battalion. When it was time for him to do his teaching duty that all members of the Paladin Order is required to do, I recommended him to come here." -

"Potions is not an easy matter, miss Fenral. One mistake in the process can make the whole batch useless, or ever lethal. Have you never wondered why potions and poisons are usually sold in the same shop? It's more or less the same recipe, just different proportions of the ingredients. We clerics of the Paladin Order have a good experience with potions, sometimes you can't concentrate hard enough to heal when surrounded by enemy swords in the battlefield and then it's important to have some powerful potions with you. We are also the discoverers of the blessed brew of Soma, others may tell you the Soma originates from some exotic land in the East but we know the truth." "Healing works best by the power of Light, Haldor of the North. I can see you know the basics of healing but if you let Ennoc the Righteous Light guide you, your powers will prosper. Relying on local gods will only take you so far, to rise above the rest you need to trust the Light which can be found anywhere in the world. Become Ennoc's loyal servant and he will award you." -

The heroes enter the Study where they see some benches and a blackboard on one of the walls. A gray-haired man sits by his desk but rises to speak with the heroes. "Greetings visitors! My name is Jorke, the cleric here in the House of Ennoc's Children. I teach the novices of the art of Healing and Meditation, and also some recipes of tonics and potions. Who might you be, fair elf and man of the North?" -
It will be more to do soon, but it is an easy quest with few battles and much talking to people.

The priestess takes a deep breath and puts on her calm face again. "Oh no, I couldn't ask you to help in this matter. It is a case of purely internal business of the Order, and we know how to handle it ourselves. Please enjoy your stay here tonight without bothering about our problems. The supper is served at sunset in the Dining Hall, in the south-east corner of the convent. You have some time before that to explore parts of the House of Ennoc's Children and meet the members of it. I need to go to my room, but we will meet at supper. See you then." The priestess leaves the entry with the letter in her hand. The heroes can now visit up to 2 places in the House of Ennoc's Children before it is time for supper. At the moment the heroes are in the Entry, down in the south-west corner of the convent. From there, the only other room they can get to is the Study, but from the Study they can then choose if they wish to go to the Training Grounds outside, or to the Sanctuary in the middle of the convent. -
Wow, votes are cast in all directions now. I get a feeling the Servents of Loki tries to make us spread the votes over several suspects to make sure none is convicted. Right now we have 3 votes each for Dragmall, Gerrid and Bergulf, and 2 votes for Hervi. I feel reluctant to vote for either Hervi or Dragmall at the moment since most of the discussion around those are based on misunderstandings and behavior from previous games of life. Gerrid and Bergulf are more likely to come up as scum I think, and my suspicions of Bergulf from the first day is enough to earn him a vote today as well. Vote: Bergulf (badboytje88)

"For your eyes only, dear sister? Will you throw me out of here just when I've arrived?" "Don't be silly, Mandric. Why don't you go and change into something more comfortable to wear to supper while I'll handle this. Najdalena, go tell Fat Mats to prepare food for 4 more persons tonight. I insist that you stay overnight here at the convent, dear messengers. Your trip home will be much nicer if you get a good night sleep under real roof and some good meals in your stomachs." "Hahaha, you sure admire the High priestess. Never would you dear defy her orders, sister. Ah well, I hardly believe it's anything interesting anyway, everyone in the council is just caught up in bureaucracy and has no real life experience. You can't feel the Light if you don't step out into the sun! See you later, miss Alexis, sir Cronk and you too mister no-shirt." Sir Mandric and Najdalena the novice exits the entry and Cronk delivers the letter to Mandrea who opens and read it. The quest is successful! No, just kidding, much more to come "Oh... oh this is terrible! Absolutely terrible! What a scandal it will be! Oh Light! I... I must... I will write a letter back to High priestess Alisameth... yes, I will do that. Not now though, I must gather my thoughts first. I will have the letter ready tomorrow and then you can bring it back to Eubric." The priestess looks truly shocked and she nervously wrings her hands. -
I'm misunderstandning? Oh, maybe I am! Sorry Snotra, my concept of irony was probably located in my spleen that I lost on in a fight years ago. Unvote: Snotra (Scubacarrot)

You just said you were the Serial Killer!? Why would I not want to kill you?
-
I think we rather kill you, at least that's my opinion. Vote: Snotra Carrotface (Scubacarrot)

"The priestess is here in the entry. Let me check if she can see you now." The girl closes the door but soon opens it again. "She said yes, please come in." The heroes moves inside the entry which is a sparsely furnished room with a man in armor and battle gear standing next to a women behind a desk. "Welcome travelers! I am Mandrea Melifano, priestess here at the House of Ennoc's Children. This is my brother sir Mandric, Commander of the 2nd Battalion of Light and Justice, and you have already met Najdalena, one of our novices. How may I help you?" -

[His name is Sir Mandric Melifano. I was born on a small farm not far from a town called R'kilf, but now I usually live in a large stable just outside the walls Eubric when we are not traveling throughout the country, which we do most of the time. Just now we are on our way back to Eubric after been up north fighting bandits.] -

[Greetings she-elf. No, I do not know who lives here, but I think my human might know. We travel here quite often and he meets with other humans here. But I just wait outside until he is done, it's good grass here. Do you want some?] -

The other heroes neither agree or disagree with Cronk and the rest of the journey is conducted in awkward silence... "..." In the afternoon they have passed Bric'lin and reached a fork in the road were a road sign points the left way for "House of Ennoc's Children". Just another half an hour walk down that way, just after climbing up a ridge, they get a nice view over the convent: Coming up on the south-west corner the heroes reaches the entrance to the convent. A tall stone is erected outside it and underneath the tree to the left stands a big and powerful horse, obviously a knight's steed. What do the heroes wish to do next? -
I don't suspect you because of Danr's accusations, I just think you are amongst the group of people that voted at a suspicious time. I find it hard to trust what people say in this Hall and sometimes it is quite hard to follow what they say as well, therefore I tend to go more by vote patterns. But you did push Danr quite a lot during the last hours of yesterday, but unfortunately my memory seems to be missing the end of that argument you had with him.

Ah, the gods take and the gods give. 1 Servant of Loki for 3 Loyal Einherjare is a poor trade, but better then nothing. Jormund never raised any suspicions to my yesterday, but in hindsight I can agree that his action do correspond with what to expect from the Scum. Problem is that that action pattern is probably corresponding to some of us loyalists as well. Neverthenless, I think we will find at least one of the other traitors amongst those who voted about the same time as Jormund, more specifically I suspect Chief Mursi, Carl Poem-Piece, Beorn Ale-Lover and Snotra Carrotface. I'm sure at least some of them are Loyal Einharjare, but I would be surprised if none of them is a Servant of Loki.

The party sets out on their journey to the House of Ennoc's Children. The highway from Eubric to Bric'lin trading post is the most trafficked road on Uland and the heroes meet several other travelers. They are making good pace and are more than two thirds on their way when the sun sets and it's time to turn in for the night. Nothing happens during the night and the heroes can continue the next morning feeling well rested. Soon they are approaching the outskirts of Bric'lin and the amount of travelers and especially traders of all kind is increasing. Amongst others, they meet an orc slave caravan led by a familiar man from the Shadeaux family. How does the party feel about this? Why is slavery such an important part of the Eubric culture? For how long will the orcs be punished for the great war? What can be done to this situation, if there should be something done at all? These are questions the heroes can discuss during the rest of their trip up to the House of Ennoc, they will reach their destination later this day.
